Safe Flavors?
submitted over 2 years ago by omniflavor

I was curious about the flavor safety list and how it works, as I could not find much info pertaining to my question. When looking at the list, all flavors I see are either labeled "avoid", "caution", or "research". All of which seem like a bad idea to use. Is this list meant to highlight strictly flavors to not use? If not, I could not find a list of the safe flavors to use. If someone could point me in the direction of what flavors to use, whether that be strictly ones not on the list or something else, that would be greatly appreciated!

TLDR: What flavors are safe to use, if any, on the flavor safety list?

The ones you really need to pay attention to, is the flavors that has avoid on them.

These flavors typically contain something, that you shouldn't vape as they does various things at various temperatures. Such as FW Yellow Cake that contains fructose.

The ones with caution typically has some sort sort of effect, but not guaranteed that you as a user will have any issues. Here we can look at CAP Super Sweet, which can cause some harm or allergic reactions.

So basically, the ones marked with caution, you need to figured out if you as a user has any issues, but overall they aren't dangerous to you.

The ones marked research, is simply because the containments are being researched.

Just to elaborate, here are the criteria I use when deciding which category to put a specific ingredient in:

  • Avoid - There is scientific evidence of harm caused by inhaling this
  • Caution - There is scientific evidence that harm could be caused by inhaling this
  • Research - Some research demonstrates this may be unsafe to inhale

Flavour Art and Flavorah are on the top when considering flavor safety. Both use Trusticert as a safety consultant.
