So I’ve always been on the fence about making juice, I bought the supplies last year and never used them, but Canada’s excise tax on juice forced my hand to go DIY. Today I made my “first” bottle of juice.
Technically I made 4 bottles last week prior to this one, but unbeknownst to me my nicotine was oxidized, so really I was just making 4 flavours of peppercorn.. yuck. Anyways, after reordering a bottle of nicotine I tried my hand again today…
It’s not even that good, but I’m so damned proud of myself and I’m puffing away like a chimney. I was flying by the seat of my pants when it came to a recipe, like 2% FW extreme ice, 1% TFA mint candy, and 1% TFA wintergreen.
Already I’m so excited sitting here vaping this and thinking about what I can tweak to make it what I like. I’m thinking maybe next time I’ll do 3% extreme ice, .5% mint candy, 1% wintergreen, and 1% menthol to get a bolder sharper mentholated hit with a light sweet note.
I’m honestly not even sure why I’m sharing this. I’m just already fascinated and I think I’ve found a new hobby. Seriously, what cool stuff! Do any of you old pros still get excited/proud making your juice?
First of all, congrats. I remember my first mixes. They tasted awful, but they were mine! I still make awful stuff when experimenting. I prefer all my awful and mediocre stuff to actually buying mixes and thinking they are awful or mediocre.
That’s said, fw extreme ice was such an extreme disappointment to me! 3% is probably the minimum I would use it and I don’t even like ice that much. So much for “extreme”. I’m a big fan of either inw shisha peppermint or Flv peppermint. Highly recommend. (Inw is a little sweeter.) which mint candy is that?
Nice job on your first batch!!
I remember my first lot, I got loads of different flavours thinking I'll enjoy them. Turns out there were only 2 of the dozen that I liked. I was the same as you; didn't particularly care they tasted bad.
Its a wonderful little thing to do every so often as I batch make for a month or so. I feel proud knowing I made every bottle.
Enjoy it!
way to go!!! this is what DIY is all about-making YOU HAPPY!!! I do still feel that way!! I have the added bonus of making juice for my sister-all she vapes is stuff I make. DIY is so much cheaper than buying juice-I mean it's ridiculous! Do you have any other flavors you like?
Where did you order from? I haven't found anything that doesn't cost an arm and leg to ship
I got my nicotine from the broke vaper and my flavours from flvrs.co
My GF likes mint menthol n one of my first mixes was Fantastic n better than the Vgod mighty mint menthol she would only vape before that.
FA Spearmint 4%
Tfa peppermint 1%
FW menthol 3%
Cap super sweet .75% 💥💥💥 it doesn't need the peppermint at all but adds to the mint layering. My Strawberry cream was badazz too with 2 Stacked strawberries , Van, Whipped cream n lil sweetner 👌 i was thrilled too but we're spoiled in the US as i have 2 liters of 100mg Salt nic.I use salt nic exclusively for high watt Dtl and low watt Mtl vaping..(Diff strengths of coarse).I use a pocket sized 25$ scale to mix all ingredients.I fill a 100mill with Nic and use Twist tips to weigh it out along with the Vg and Pg , flavors etc If your entries are correct on an ejuice calculator it will give you Grams And ML.I used to use syringes for the nic n mix by volume but found a scale to be much faster and neater with no cleanup to speak of 👌😊 I have 34 recipies but ill switch the main fruit sometimes n go off the Grid if you know what pairs well and most times comes out fantastic anyway
Good for you! My first mixes were about 20% successful, lol. Actually got frustrated and went to one shots for a bit. But went back to diy later for some recipes o was excited to try.
I don't make many screw ups any more. Nothing I can't fix, or at least tolerate, lol.
Keep mixing and having fun😃👍
So far for me it's been pretty good but I use premade flavor mixes from the same place I used to order my juice and use their recommendations on percents. Haven't actually bought any solo flavors to try making recipes with. Wanted to start simple and error free before taking the big leap.
It's like cooking. When I first started I was incredibly meticulous. After 8 years I just eyeball everything. I might create something amazing I wouldn't be able to recreate but they're all mostly solid flavours I can enjoy.
I perform "blasphemy" myself. Instead of weighing I just use a juice calculator and put in ml using syringes. Is my juice exactly 17mg/ml nicotine? Is it exactly 55/45 vg/pg? Is my flavoring exactly 8% based on the recommendation by the place I order my premixed flavors from? No? Don't care. Works for me.
Hi, do you know which vendors sales synthetic salt or normal salt nicotine and ships to Canada?
