Usually mix right in the bottle.

Using pipettes and measurements is absurd. I also started that way. Total waste of time and money.

Now, 8 years into mixing I can't imagine going back to volume mixing.

$19 scale from Amazon, use ELR calculator and boom. Done. Mix 30mL, 60mL, etc.

Mix 3mL. Whatever. So much quicker. Nothing to clean, nothing to buy aside from flavoring and empty bottles.

I haven't used a pipette in almost a year.

The scale is to DIY what a nice set of socket wrenches is to auto repair.

Nah u normally squirt everything in the bottle your gonna be vaping from 👌 are u using an eliquid calculator? Cuz it does both ML and Grams and a 25$ scale from Amazon is a lot faster, neater simpler

Just do mL (volume), absolutely no reason to convert it to and measure by weight unless you're making juice on an absolutely massive scale.

😆 That's so not true, I make 4-30ml bottles at a time..2 for me 2 for my Gf. U can make a 10ml bottle if u wanted, the scale fits in my back pocket no bigger than my wallet. You must be picturing something else it was 20$. I was just tryna save u a little time n cleanup but you do you bud 👌Every online eliquid calculator gives you ML n Grams idk maybe you don't use an Ejuice calculator.I'm not reinventing the wheel most everyone in FB Diy groups use a scale simply cuz its easier.I used to use blunt tip syringes n flasks etc then I put twist tips on my Nic,Vg and Pg and just looked at the Grams instead of looking at the ML which is right next to it and the numbers are damn near the same its just ones faster than the other

You sound like those old school vape shop owners that think a digital scales are harder and high tech but I promise its not.My first scale was 11$ 😄( Chinsy tho) If you go to ELR (eliquid recipies..com) you'd see the recipies are ML and nxt to that Grams. It also has the biggest data bank of recipies in the world and create a free accnt. But where it says- Add flavorings 1% Capella super sweet I already know is 0.60grams Or 0.60ML so your either looking at dashes on a syringe of flask or your looking at a digital screen with rising numbers with each drop so you can already tell by reading this which way would be fastest, the size bottle doesn't matter if you've already filled out your inputs correctly 👌

I call bullocks! Seems like you‘ve never used an eliquid calculator like ELR or ATF or else you‘d know that it shows you all conversions. Mixing by weight is much easier and more accurate. Volume may be okay if you are just mixing oneshots with base, but not for actual recipes where accuracy counts.

Use a scale. Drop components right into bottle at correct amounts.

Don't use a glass cup and stir it. That's a ton of oxygen exposure and not to mention, loss of product that remains in the glass

Pipettes/syringes, measure by volume so you don't have to do conversions (also so you don't have to spend money on a scale)

More accurate than measuring by weight anyways

(Unless you're making a shit ton at a time lol)

no. scale. i've done both. scale is far, far better. for anybody new, buy a scale. the LB-501 is like $40. it's perfect for this.

>More accurate than measuring by weight

lmfaofkl;rjfekwopfidj no. no it is not.

Your ingredients and bottle are already measured by volume, just get a measuring device like a pipette, syringe, measuring cup, etc. whatever you prefer but pipettes and syringes are precise.

Trying to say measuring by weight is more efficient than measuring by volume when EVERYTHING IS ALREADY MEASURED FOR YOU BY VOLUME is kinda fuckin dumb

You don't have to do any conversions.

Pipettes and syringes are a giant mess and a waste of money. You're spending more on replacing those constantly then buying a 20 dollar scale.

There's also again, loss of components from being stuck to the plastic and inside the syringe.

You gotta figure out the weights of each of your ingredients, zero the weight of the bottle, then do the math for the ratio. Whereas with volume you already know the volume of your bottle (say 60mL, etc.) off the top of your head, all you have to do is ratio everything. Just measuring. And you don't have to be as careful as weighing (not enough, not enough, not enough, oops too much) because all you gotta do is hit the measurement line with the meniscus (5mL pipette/syringe X number of times to get the accurate amount).

Less steps involved, all you gotta do is squirt and shake when you measure by volume. I'd rather spend an extra $8 every 4 months on a thousand pipettes than spend an extra hour and a half making my juice every single time.

Plus the loss in the pipette/syringe is minimal, especially if you're patient enough to let it all collect at the tip. Nowhere near as much lost as a spill

Sure. Back when, I was using a beaker and a long metal swizzle stick.

Just in case it isn't a one-off event, the main thing is to make sure the right amount of nicotine is getting in there, but it's nice to be precise with everything if you want to end up with something repeatable.

Nowadays -- ejuice app, digital scale, mix into 8oz HDPE condiment bottles. Shake a bunch. Transfer to a 30ml carry when needed. Simple, quick, cheap. Would take about 5 minutes to make 1L of juice if I felt like it.

I mean, you could do that. You get little stirrer things you can buy from vape shops. Or you could just mix directly into the bottle and shake it like a maniac or be extra like me and buy an e-liquid mixer device

Fun fact, if you have a top-loader washing machine and no money for a centrifuge, triple bag your bottle and place it in there on the "drain & spin" setting, and voilà you have a poor-man's centrifuge. Unreasonably effective

A centrifuge separates liquid components. For someone claiming to use chemistry and science to mix, you should know that.

That's pretty clever :D

I always mixed in 500 ML batches, but starting out I never mad anything over 120ml, and only if I knew I likes that recipe.

After awhile I bought a big Ole bottle of my most used flavors then reused that bottle for juice when it was empty. Mixing outside of a bottle for anything other than industrial applications is just more work than it's worth. Oh, and always measure by weight. Hotrods ejuice Calc is my favorite for tracking recipes.

I'd probably keep every tester in a shot glass in my fridge if oxygen wasn't bad for your juice. You need a good tight lid basically so might as well use a bottle.
