I am trying to create two profiles.
One is an Apple and Peach. The person wants the the Apple at the front and a little Peach. His words "I want something that is 75 percent Apple 25 percent Peach"
The other Profile is Peach Apple. He wants this one to be 75 percent Peach 25 percent Apple.
I think I am close to getting my percentages down for the desired product. However I am looking for something that could add a little juicyness to the fruit and something to round out the profile to make it more full.
Any and all help or suggestions is very much appreciated. This is my first post to Reddit and this group is amazing with alot of great information. Thank you so much for having me.
I like to add a little TPA Nectarine to apple/peach (and quite a few other fruits like mango); it rounds away some sharpness, adds a touch of natural nectar/sweetness/thickness and doesn't conflict with either flavor sharply. I go <=1% if I don't want to actually taste nectarine, though sometimes (grape was the most drastic example) it bends the recipe towards a gummy candy. Another option might be a pear. Or the go-tos like cactus (I can't use this one myself) or cucumber.
Or whatever everyone else who does this a lot more than me might come up with, too.
That is very helpful thank you so much for your insight. I am not experiencing any sharpness or sour notes despite using the FA Fuji at 5% to 8% and TFA Juicy Peach at 5% to 8%
You asked for a juicy add, that is one I use for a lot of fruits. Though it can have some strange side effects on some fruits as I mentioned.
Orange or nectarine in my opinion also enhance/add to peach specifically instead of conflict like something like cactus would, less so Fuji. Though tpa juicy peach can be a bit of a throat killer on dtl hardware and at that strength you could probably go a fair bit higher than 1% nectarine as it's definitely not a strong flavor.
Tpa nectarine + a pear makes a pretty interesting combination too, I added some cap double apple for a near apple-pear hybrid fruit.
apple is pretty juicy already. maybe link your stash here. if not, try FA Pear
Im only using FA Fuji and TFA Juicy Peach at 5% to 8%
I'd try a bit of Cap Sweet Guava. It'll add juiciness, sweetness and thickness.
I have heard that Guava can be very good for what I'm looking for. I'm doing the FA Fuji and TFA Juicy Peach at 5% to 8%.. what would you recommend I start at 2 to 3 percent
I think FLV Peach is a better peach than TFA Juicy peach is. That one tears my throat up! Also VSO Peach is like a peach you have to eat over the sink so you don't make a mess, it's just so good! Just ideas for ya. Cactus, pear(MB Shape Up Pear) is great with apple for moisture, even cucumber are all good at adding juice to a mix.
I certainly am open to trying another peach for this mix. TFA Juciy Peach is very popular from the research I have done and it is actually a very decent peach. Just my experience. I have FA Pear however it was very weak alone at 3%. Is MB Shape up pear a good pear to build a recipe around because I am also trying to develop a pear dessert recipe.
Yes, MB Shape Up is considered one of the best pears. Definitely one of the top 2. My problem with peach juicy is the throat hit! It doesn't fade with steeping. There are probably many recipes for it because for a long time, peach juicy was the best choice out of not many. We have so much more to choose from now. A lot people like FA White each and FJ (used to be JF) Honey Peach. For me, it's FLV Peach or VSO Peach, or both. A tip someone gave me awhile back is add .5-1.0% mango to your mix to boost the peach. It works well for me. I use CAP Sweet Mango if my mix needs some sweetening up, or FA Mango Indian Special. If you start looking for some strawberry or cherry flavors, hit me up!
Yeah but for me VSO peach bends towards peach schnapps at anything more than a support %
Oh no, that's not good! It has never tasted like that for me at all. I use it at 4% in a mix. I've not used it much higher than that, I rarely use single flavors, tho. have you tried FLV peach? You only need to use like 1.5-2%. If you go any higher, it gets less juicy. Also, 5% is really high for FA Fuji-you really don't want to go over 3% at the most. I use it at 2%. More flavor doesnt mean better with most flavorings. Just telling you what people told me and helped me out. Some companies make their flavors strong (FA, FLV, WF, VT, SSA) and some don't (CAP, TFA, Chefs).
Cactus or pear would add that juiciness well.
I did a test with FA Pear alone at 3 percent and it was almost flavorless. Maybe at that percentage it would be more of a supporting flavor. I heard cactus can work well too. I really appreciate your suggestions thank you so much.
You're over flavoring which is probably causing a harshness you associate with dryness. Drop that fuji to 3% and juicy peach to around 2% and adjust from there. I'd throw in another apple, CAP Double Apple would be a good bet.
edit: steep that fuji for at least 3 days.
There is no dryness or harshness I am experiencing with the FA Fiji at 8% or the TFA Juicy Peach at 8% I am just looking for something to round out the profile making it more juicy and full
Note I tested the Fuji and Peach alone and together at 3 percent and they were almost flavorless.
I've been vaping 3% FA Fuji Apple, 4% TFA Juicy Peach, 1% FJ Golden Mango, and 0.5% CAP Super Sweet lately. This might be a good place to start for what you're looking to do.
