Flavor combination question.
Why does mixing not make any sense???
So, I did a 12% 27 Bears +3% FW Sweetener... and it turned out exactly how I expect a white gummy bear to taste. It was damn good. I just wanted it more sour.
So I changed the recipe, I went 8% 27 Bears, 3% FW Sour, then 3% FW Sweetener... and now the 27 bears is just... muted. It's not even MORE sour... it's less sour. What gives? Why did sour mute itself?
I'm a pure novice with mixing.
FW sour has a LOT of malic acid so I'm not suprised it muted the shit out of the recipe. Try sour @ something less like 1%.
I personally think you've got 27 bears too high and thats a lot of sucralose too. I'd give this a hoon then modify the sucralose to your personal taste.
Ingredient|% :---|---: 27 Bears (SilverLine) (CAP)|5.00 Sweetener (Sucralose) (FW)|0.50 Sour (FW)|0.50
Flavor total: 6%
I just thought I should let you know, I vaped a generous amount of my previous mix, and I added stuff to the remainder to dilute it down.
The most current mix (which I have not yet tasted) is down to (about)
6% 27 bears .8% Sweet .8% Sour.
I will give you a review of that once I get a chance. I know it's not exact, but it's close for now. It will give me an idea of how to control atleast the some of the concentrates.
Sweet mate.
Just my 2cents, I thought 27 bears was a lil rough tbh. Overly sweet and not a very flavoursome pineapple candy at all.
What profile were you after in this mix? if you're after some pineapple candy you could try some VT sugarloaf pineapple in there. Or if you're after a gummy mouthfeel I can recommend WF Strawberry gummy candy which has a very excellent gummy profile.

Sour doesn’t really work in vapes and using additives will mute flavor. The same applies for using flavors too high, they start to mute themselves, more isn’t always more. You can look up average flavor % and ranges as well as recipes on ATF . It’s a very useful tool.
Custard question
Is it feasible to mix 2 different brands of custard togeather instead of a solo brand with a booster like cream, cheesecake, etc? I'm starting to get into custard territory. Or is it better to have a single brand custard flavor to build on? Is it subjective to type of profile? Like fruit, bakery, booze?
You most definitely can, but usually you‘ll want to make it a bit more interesting with an accent flavor or you‘ll use a cookie/cake or cream for mouthfeel. But it’s all subjective. Experiment with small 5-10 ml batches. You can look up average flavor % on ATF (alltheflavors.com). And don’t forget that most custards/creams need some time to fully develop. Let them steep 1-2 weeks. That doesn’t mean you can’t vape it off the shake if you like it, but a steeped custard is glorious! Have you joined our Discord group yet? not to open a new thread,
are samsung INR 18650 -30Q or -35E safe for vapes?
i used exclusively sony konions, for some 18650 tend to burn,
like "trustfire" - can trust to burn at some point when vaping high wattage.
This probably isn't the sub for that kind of info/questions.
But just in case you might blow yourself up or burn your house down... Please do your own research before you exceed the wattage of any of your batteries are capable of running safely at 😬.
A good place to start is to have a google for Mooch's blog over at ECF, they know their shit when it comes to 18650.
