Co. | Flavor | %

WF | Angel Cake (SC) | 2.5
INW | Custard | 2
TFA | Vanilla Custard II | 3
I can't fathom that not being super yummy unless you get coconut from INW Custard and don't like it or get pepper from TFA Vanilla Custard II.
Looking forward to an custardy battle of FA Custard Premium vs. TFA Vanilla Custard II.
If I get to mix it with another custard, I'm going with FA Premium. If I have to use it without any other custards, probably going with TFA Vanilla Custard II. Personally I think FA Premium is super delicious, but too much butter and not enough of everything else to stand alone as a custard.
I notice that there's no love for Cap Vanilla Custard V1 here. I have 6 different custards and VC1 is always my go to custard.
!!PickMeToAdd20!!
Thank you for the Add 20, I still love VCV1, it's just
-
It got so overused that people got tired of it, like a great song that plays too many times. It's also become too recognizable to some folks, like you taste it and instantly know that is CAP VCV1. Some times that takes away from the enjoyment, almost like when something ruins your suspension of disbelief when watching a movie.
-
It really benefits from a long steep and people are impatient AF.
Coming from the Uk the quest is always on for a faithful version of birds custard..15+ years of vaping and i have not found it yet..the hubt continues..
What's the closest so far?
Argghhh the mighty ID10-T asking me a question!! Swoon swoon..erm- Closest so far is original kstrd e liquid by ace of vapes in the uk- ok not a diy mix but it was a 5/10 for birds tastealike but to be fair it was sooo fucking sweet i managed to vape half a tank and wouldnt go back to it due to that..
The only Vanilla Custard that I can use FA Custard Premium. The rest of them have a weird spoiled taste and it’s really killing me because I love just plain Vanilla flavorings.
So basically I just use FA or run with Custard Now as a standard replacement for all other custard.
This could be a long show.
Here’s my pride and joy of my diy world. Worth the steep

I get pepper from the original TFA Vanilla Custard (not from Vanilla Custard II, although some do). I still keep it around though because it works so well in this RY4 Custard that I love.
I came here to say something about custard but am far too distracted by that horrific image.
Horrific? I was distracted too - but that isn't the word I'd use to describe it.
hahaha

As a new diyer I got a 60ml of VC 1 and don't regret it
idk if it's that I haven't had the "right" custard/recipe, but I haven't thoroughly enjoyed custard...so far. I'm definitely open to suggestions.
Anyone else never had an actual custard? Puddings, sure, but never something like FA Premium or CAP V1. Not that it's a prerequisite, but I want to bring up some questions: I've noticed that custard enjoyers™ have an unusual passion for tailoring the perfect recipe, and tend to have very strong personal preferences, kind of like you expectedly see among tobacco heads. So, what makes a perfect custard for you? What are you looking for, and what makes custard your go-to profile? Are you looking to replicate an actual reference, or did you realize at some point that your palate was made for the abstract properties custards have? (and if so, how would you describe those?) Just curious to hear some perspectives as someone from a custardless country who never got into custards during his premium juice phase :)
I’m not sure where you live, but I don’t normally see Custard on its own in the upper Midwest of the US. I’ve made custard based pies, and you can find it in plenty of deserts like a trifle or crème brûlée.
It’s a bit richer than a pudding as it’s thickened with eggs, primarily the yolk.
And now after writing this I’ve remembered there’s three or four chains in my area that heavily advertise their frozen custard, which is flat out better than ice cream.
I wouldn’t say it’s a normal custard though as it’s still a liquid when melted.
I use a ton of CAP Vanilla Custard V1, I think it's my most used flavor at this point, currently I'm vaping a clone I came up with of Vapor Junkie's Crimson that stars VC
Crimson Clone:
2% Cap Cereal 27
3% TFA Vanilla Swirl
5% Cap Vanilla Custard V1
2% FW Bavarian Cream
3% FW Cake Yellow
Holy 3% Yellow Cake
I'm sure that's super yummy. Bet it also does quite a number on your wicks.
tfa vanilla custard ii is my favorite thing in the world. ive probably gone through liters of 3% tfa vc ii/2% fa cust prem/1% wf vanilla cream extra. i feel very badly for pepper tasters, but as someone intolerant to inw custard i think it is a fair trade off.
im a big fan of shunsui and curleh mustache manages to make inw custard taste good, so try those if you get a chance
Funny that I liked wf ruyan custard so much at first and hated all the other ones. One day I added a teensy bit of cap vc to a bacco and really enjoyed it. I’ve probably had cap vc like 10-12 times and rarely, if ever, above 1%. I’m uncharted territory. Also, I don’t really like wf ryC with baccos much. I like it (actual dessert recipes) more when the mix is supposed to be rich and decadent and subbing ryC can take some of the too much-ness out of it for me. cap vc once a year in an offhand mix never left me for wanting.
New mixer here, only started mixing about 2 weeks ago and am excited to participate in my first noted live stream this Monday! I am a big fan of custards and creams so I'm really looking forward to hearing about all the delicious custards I have yet to try! I own 3 so far (INW) custard (CAP) vanilla custard v1 and (VT) banana custard. All of which are great.
Like so many, I have been chasing the perfect vanilla custard for as long as I have been vaping and mixing. I've tried all the OGs and renditions thereof . . . and made my own from scratch countless times. Every time I think this is it, I think, "how can I do this better?" For me, the perfect vanilla custard is the rarest of all the white whales. I'll keep plugging away and greatly look forward to this installment of NotedDX!!
Vanilla custard was all I vaped for years, & years. One recipe in particular. It was a commercial mix, but it was just 6% cap vc & 3-4% cap sugar cookie. With some sweetener. I had to of vaped gallons & gallons of that liquid. I can't do them anymore. They turn my stomach, but I still love vanilla, & love eating custard irl. It's so strange how that works. 🤷♂️
I'm not a huge custard fan but have tried more than a few. CAP V1 was huge when I started mixing. It smelled heavenly but it was a bit too rich tasting for me. I liked TFA's version a lot more because it was tamed down. Some people can't use it because it tastes like pepper. I didn't know what to think about INW Custard. It was just way different than the others. FA Custard had the lemon taste, then came Custard Premium. Everybody seemed ga-ga over that one when it was new. I got it and the buttery-ness is so distracting. I love their Butter flavor but not really the butter custard that is called Premium. TFA's second version is pretty darn tasty, but I haven't used it much. It's been a long time since I SFT'd them side by side, so going on memory. Maybe I should do it all over again.
I don't know I'm one of the broken ones that gets pepper from TPA vanilla custard 2. I haven't been able to find a vanilla custard I like. The closest I do like is FLV vanilla pudding or I can do a little INW custard.
Thanks Noted crew for all you do for the mixing community.
