Is it ok to store high VG premix base in LDPE squeeze bottles in the freezer?
submitted almost 3 years ago by dreambruh

Approximately 250ml of 65/35 50mg salt premixed base that I plan to use for 6 months more or less. Into 2 4oz squeeze bottles. I didn’t made the premix yet but I plan to do it because it’s more convenient that way. Any issues I should be worried about? (Like VG or PG precipitation and hotspot creation)

It'll store fine if you squeeze the air out. Bring it to room temp before you use it. VG gets like rubber cement in the freezer.

Don't bring to temp before using it. You want to keep nice at a constant temp or you could end up with a peppery tasting nic.

It's a pain using a syringe on frozen nice, but, it'll be fine with some time.

Mine never tastes peppery, and I've been bringing it up to room temp for years. Never used salts, though. Does that make a difference?

No its fine..I have 3 liters of 100mg nicotine in a Vg base a Pg base and 50-50 base for 3 years in the freezer n looks like the day I bought it ALL in Lpde plastic..not the ped(Pde?) crinkly plastic but the sorfter one..whatever they sent it in those liter jugs 👌 its will be fine just squeeze all the air out to the level of the cap n cap it off

I actually found a good solution I think. I will put my mix into soft Boston round bottles with regular caps and just buy some twist top replacement caps for when I need to use them. That way it will last longer in the freezer
