5 flavors you would choose to make sweet summertime juices.
submitted about 3 years ago by B_Mac4607

Other than the title sounding gross, I’m thinking super sweet and fruits! Which fruit flavors come out best in a 70/30 no nic?

I’m a big fan of cloudnurds peach blue raz but want to mix it up with something different!

I am a huge fan of inawera cactus at low percents in fruit mixes. It adds a unique flavor that is refreshing and works great with a lot of mixes.

Yea my favorite is cactus and guava,

But cactus is great with many inherent fruity flavors

Im new to diy and ive only experimented making desserts sl far but if you can figure out what the juice company vape evasion uses, their pear is amazing.

Check out Molinberry's ShapeUp!Pear, It's fairly commonly regarded as the best pear these days. It's not in stock at Bull City right now, but it is at DIYVaporsupply.

This feels like a very cleverly worded Clone Request to me.

supersweet isnt my thing. my summer go to is https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/124405#sunshine_state_by_eyemakepizza

I wasn't sure if they wanted a clone request, commercial ejuice to mix together, or actual flavorings.

3 points

by isuamadogabout 3 years agoRenaissance Mixer

likely commercial used as a reference for what they are into with the long shot hopes that someone will pull the sword from the stone and deliver the holy grail of clones :) Can't blame someone for tryin' lol. The problem being the lack of information actually makes it less likely to get a useful answer OP can use.

Thanks! I was really just looking for a mix of a few juices I could have in rotation that didn’t have a bunch of flavors to buy haha.

You'd get more recipe suggestions in real time in our Discord server. There's literally hundreds of great fruit recipes. Any one of us could recommend our personal favorites but i could do a better job if I had some idea what you have tried and what you have in your stash.

  1. You can post your stash in the Suggest a Recipe thread and you may get some ideas for what you already own.

  2. You can (again) join the Discord and ask in the #newmixers channel and get loads of suggestions.

  3. You can peruse recipes at Alltheflavors.com:

a) Pick out a few of your current favorite flavors and just click on those and sort by rating and/or filter by what can i make (+1 or +2). You will see the top rated recipes using your favorite flavors and be able to see how people have used them, which are the common pairings, consider new recipes to potentially try (that may not show up if you sort by What can I make +1/+2? if you are missing more than 2 flavors).

b) search by keyword. (not as obvious as it seems) "Fruity" and "summertime" might not yield the results you are expecting. "Fruity" brings up a load of fruity pebble styled recipes and "summertime" brings up 7 recipes (including this one that is probably up your alley.

c) choose your flavor and sort by "simplest" if you just want to see what you can do with just a few flavors. Or try one of the many many 123 recipes or Strap-on recipes or whatever.

Lots of helpful options here for you to either do-it-yourself or give us more information and get more appropriately curated recipe suggestions. My advice, take it or leave it, of course. Best of luck on your summertime mix recipe search.

Hi. I find that the VG/PG ratio doesn’t really have a huge impact on flavor. It’s much more dependent on airflow, coil and power used. You can mix any recipe from ATF at any desired VG/PG ratio without altering the recipe. If you want simple fruit recipes, I‘d search ATF for 3-2-1 recipes (recipes with 3 flavors) or pod/mtl recipes (simpler recipes with less flavors (usually)). That should give you a bunch of results. Good luck.

I love the cloud nerdz line and can tell you from experience none of the “sweet” fruits give nearly the same taste, you are looking for fruit flavors labeled “candy” or “hard candy” which are very very sweet compared to the ones labeled “sweet”.

by B_Mac4607about 3 years ago

Thanks, I’ll try looking for a candy one next time! I just picked up BlueRaz by AirFactory and it’s so bland in comparison.

by Evening-Arm1234about 3 years ago

yeah after cloud nerdz most everything is not sweet enough and bland. I was using the cloud nerdz grape strawberry when I switched to DIY and never could recreate it but the only ones close were as I said hard candy and candy labeled concentrates.

If you are serious about DIY, you might consider weaning yourself off of the SWEET!! Some of the commercial juices just take it so far!! The recipes around here are different, made to taste rather than have your senses assaulted!

by Evening-Arm1234almost 3 years ago

not sure I understand what you mean. I DIY all my juices and sweet isn’t an issue. I only use sweetener in one recipe in my rotation and it truly isn’t needed I just prefer it.

sweetener if used correctly improves flavors, besides who wants unsweetened chocolate donuts or unsweetened cereal? my pallet prefers sweet foods (I am that guy that adds a tablespoon of sugar to my plate of spaghetti). why advise anyone to ween themself off what they like, unless it’s a safety issue I don’t understand the point of your response.

I can't really stick to just 5 really but here's a list (which is also excellent for summertime snacks tbf) of flavours I enjoy during summer:

Apple, Kiwi, Mango, Pineapple, Peppermint, Spearmint, White Peach, Pear

I'd really recommend this one

Add some WS-23 and you'll have a really nice and refreshing juice, perfect for summertime. I vape that recipe in alarming amounts during summer.

Mixed overnight with a stir bar and let sit for a day. The sweets really come through and the lemon is very mild. I got a little sicily on my finger and tasted it and was worried.

Thanks for the awesome suggestion!

Two ideas I'll be chasing this summer:

-banana-blueberry nectar (with a lemon-pear base)

-watermelon-orange soda

I can share my progress but I'm sure most here could come up with a better mix themselves ^^

3 points

by JooseMakerWannabeabout 3 years ago

Have you tried INW Shisha Orange? It's practically an orange soda by itself.

1 points

by rushinigiriabout 3 years ago

Indeed, that and cap sweet tangerine are the essentials. I mix them with 1% inw watermelon and 1% flv wildmelons and that's the base.

Menthol and/or ws-23 +

WF Strawberry Gummy & FA Strawberry & FW Hard Candy

Or LA Watermelon & FW Candy Watermelon & FW Hard Candy & FA Lemon Sicily.

Basically cool strawberry candy or cool watermelon candy.

What percentages do you use?

2 points

by LostRoninabout 3 years ago

WF SGC 2% - 3%, FA SW 1.5%-2%, FW HC 1%-2%

LA WM 3%-5%, FW CWM 2%-3%, FA L.S. 0.2%-0.4%

WS-23 0.3%-0.5%, FW MTL 0.5% - 0.75%

Depends on how I'm feeling. A slight variation changes it just enough I dont really get tired of it and the flavors are good in any direction.

Strawberry, cream, and dragon fruit

1 points

by somethingaboutcookinabout 3 years ago

I've been toying with these. What's your ratio for strawberry to dragonfruit?

I've been playing with a 1:1 kinda but the dragon fruit seems light to me.

Shisha @ 1.5 Ripe @ .5 D.fruit @ 2

What kinda cream are you doing?

I've been messing with both vanilla bean ice cream and also a sweet cream/ Bavarian cream mix.

1 points

by OneEyeRabbitabout 3 years ago

1% strawberry (shisha) 4% dragon fruit, and 2% whipped cream. I found the more dragon fruit, the better.. even upping it to 6% is still awesome Add some Oba Oba to really bring out the flavors

1 points

by somethingaboutcookinabout 3 years ago

Never even thought of whipped cream!! Thank you. Happy mixing.

Apple/ pear combo is pretty solid.

Golden pineapple, sweet tangerine, and mango is a nice tropical situation. Add a coconut cream for a Pina colada.

Also Koolada 10% and WS-23 add a cool feeling to your mixes and are pleasant on a scorcher.

Strawberry is wonderful in the summer. Also in the fall, winter and spring!!! I would get INW Shisha Strawberry ( there is no tobacco in the shisha line, btw) FA Juicy Strawberry and FA strawberry, CAP Ripe Strawberry, and TFA Ripe Strawberry. Also SSA Cherry Compote and Ripe Cherry, CAP Sweet Watermelon and Double Watermelon, Molinberry American Bubble Gum and Shape up! Pear and Most Sweet Cream, and WF Vanilla Ice Cream and Vanilla Custard, Liquid Barn Blue Raspberry Slush and Strawberry Cheesecake (LB's both are like one shots)OSDIY Blue Raspberry Slush, and Delosi Flavors Blue Raspberry, Strawberry Milk, and Coconut. There's a few to start with!!! edit-Most of these you can get at Bull City Flavors, however, some you will have to pick up at DIYVaporSuppy or the individual company websites. Also, I have never vaped without nic, so I have no idea what effect that has on the flavors. Hit me up if you have questions.

My top 5 for summer flavors would have to be FW Blood Orange TFA Papaya Cap Sweet Mango Cap Golden Pineapple Cap Sweet Tangerine

A decent mix of sweet and citrus flavors that I use in a lot of my fruity mixes and as others have said INW Cactus is a great additive in smaller amounts and so is Dragonfruit, both really useful in bringing out the other fruits flavor without needing any additional sweetners.
