Graduated Container for Mixing/Storage
submitted about 3 years ago by SignificanceThink102

Stainless Steel, Glass, or PET? Looking for Graduated Airtight, lightproof jars to mix in. I use a cake mixer with one beater on it instead of two, so the opening doesn't have to be super huge. Currently using these Rubbermaid Seal and Save 2qt. That way I just pour my VG directly in and add flavors. Usually mix 400ml min at a time for recipes I have dialed. Nalgene Tritan 32 oz looks pretty legit, what do you guys use? I'm finding some made from PCTG instead of recycled PET...The same thing Vape Pods are made from. Maybe that is the best to not retain flavors?

I just mix in the bottle, on the scale. No mess.

Instead of graduated cylinders and magnetic mixers pick up an AWS LB-501 when you get a chance (thats the amazon link its $50usd on there now but I got mine for $35 shipped, it's on sale regularly, i'd suggest shopping around). And get some 8oz hdpe (or PET) bottles if you like to mix big batches. Once you mix by weight you never go back, so much simpler.

The electric mixer probably helps a tiny bit, but honestly nothing beats old father time for steeping. And I personally don't think any of that stuff makes enough of a difference to be worth the hassle, waste, and mess. Just mix in the bottle, shake the shit out of it every time you use it, good to go. Don't overthink it, it's simple ingredients :)

Like what about diluting 70% Mogroside V (Monk Fruit) extract from a powder to a liquid? I can't find grain alcohol. Pg or VG? Obviously mag stirrer would come in handy for stuff like this just leave on for two days.

Just use a scale n mix it in the bottle your vaping from unless its for a big batch even still a scale is way faster n neater.I used to use beakers n syringes then switched to Grams(weight) instead of ML(volume) a scale is only 20-25$ at Amazon and most eliquid calculators grams is right next to ML.Put twist tips on the Nic,Vg,Pg n shake it up..no electric stirring etc IMO that's overkill n doeant speed any steeping anyway 👌

Ya.... I mix max vg and it seems like the flavors incorporate better with the air from the cake mixer. I was going to eventually do a magnetic stirrer but I guess it is overkill. The air accelerates the steep as well. Flavors don't come out in max VG well. So you think the 120ml chubby gorilla brand bottles are the best? I wish they made metal needle tip with real screw on caps and not the ones dangling off a strip of plastic.

I guess its possible it accelerates the steep but idk I'm in a lot of Diy Fb groups and they all say the only thing that works is time or this really expensive machine that melds the flavors together..homogenator or something? It might make it easier to shake max vg these stirrers but it doesnt need to be whipped into a frenzy,it just creates more bubbles but creams n custards etc really just take time n few shakes now n then according to the folks really into creams n custards.Theres some that are ready in a few days but like Cap V1 and FA premium can take over a month.Fruits generally are good to go the next day, fruit creams maybe a week.I try to forget about it for awhile then let it breath once or twice with a shake here n there.Max vg is a bit thicker but I still think time is your friend over anything else but if u think it helps stir away.I don't use jars or beakers for a mixer to even fit in.I'm usually making a diff profile every 3 weeks to a month for the last 3 yrs almost 😊👌

Yeah a homoginizer is essentially doing the same thing but quicker. Some of them say cell breaker/ultrasonic but some are just basically a Dremel with a stirring tip. Leaves the eliquid frothy.... Depending on which tip you use. Flavor doesn't come out in VG well. Better in air, alcohol, pg... So you will notice creams coming to life way faster... Fruits popping almost immediately. Also, with VG based nic and powdered sweeteners you really want to make sure they are mixed to a point that shake n vape just can't do.

I mix in the bottle with a scale too. Lately I started making flavor bases of the recipes we regularly vape to make things easier.
