I have tried steam engine and other vape calculators but it doesn't work for my situation.
Basically, I have 350ml of 50/50 PG/VG liquid. 0mg/ml nicotine (zero nic)
I also have 70ml of PG liquid, 20mg/ml nic.
What I want to know is, if I mix the 70ml of PG into my 350ml of base liquid, what level of overall nic will I end up with?
I'd like to get to 6mg/ml although a few mg above / below would also be alright.
You will get 3mg 42/58, which is a kind of thin ratio. Worse if you want to flavor it. But If you want 6mg using what you have, mix 163ml of your base with your nic for 6mg 35/65. That’s twice the nic but twice as thin. Also, if you add flavor it will be even more thin
This is a simple c1v1=c2v2 Or (initial concentration)(initial volume) = (final concentration)(final volume).
So, let’s say you want to mix all of your 70 mL of 20 mg/mL nicotine to 6 mg/mL
(20 mg/mL)(70mL)=(6 mg/mL)(x mL) X = 233 mL. Since you already added the 70 mL of nicotine, you would add 163 mL of your 50/50 PG/VG.
Now, you also have to consider the final concentrations of PG and VG.
For VG: (50%)(163 mL)=(x%)(233 mL) X = 35% VG
For PG: (50%)(163 mL) + (100%)(70 mL)=(x%)(233 mL) X = 65% PG (or just do 100% - 35% VG)
You’d need 150mls of 20mg liquid to get 350mls of juice to 6mg
Yeah and that's without the flavoring,that's the problem using base..I'd just ditch the base 50-50 and buy them separate then he can get the 6mg 50/50 including the flavorings he's looking for 👌 he's already off on the wrong foot but vg n pg isnt all that expensive really but that's what I'd do so he can use an juice calculator much simple than do it this way 😀
Its easier to just buy the vg n pg seperately,its not all that expensive n would be a lot easier to use an eliquid calculator plus once u add the flavorings you can still get it to the 50/50 your looking for without tryna use no nic base plus flavors etc.That's why most either don't use base and when they do they buy it with the nic already in it and even then they didn't figure for the pg flavors n it turns into this difficult thing when its so much easier when their all separate. Most online eliquid calculators figure for it all added separately one ingredient at a time so your already off on the wrong foot n probably shouldve researched what u needed before Diving in lol 👌Diy or Die on YouTube explains how to mix the best IMO and he starts with all ingredients separately,goes over the the eliquid calculator at eliquid Recipes ..com in such a way that it easy to understand and he uses a small scale so you can mix all different recipies instead of one big one with base etc.I'd watch it anyway for the future 👌
