Has anyone purchased VG/PG or TFA Flavors from Vapor Lab?
submitted about 3 years ago by zake202

Hey All,

I've been browsing this subreddit for a few weeks now. I've read through most of the FAQs and help guides and decided to take the plunge into DIY.

I purchased 2 Liters of 100mg PG Nic and separated it into 4oz amber glass bottles, topped with argon and wrapped the tops with silicone tape. That's in the freezer now.

I am now on the hunt for a gallon of VG/PG as well as flavors. Wondering if anyone has purchased from Vapor Lab and if they are legitimate? They offer a gallong of PG/VG for around $48 before shipping ($8 Shipping). They also look to offer a good variety of TFA, and I am trying to limit the number of online vendors I need to purchase supplies from. Browsing through the vendor's list I didn't see this listed. I am definitely open to other suggestions as well.

Thank you!

Personally, I would get my PG/VG from Essential Depot and flavors from Bull City

Ahh, I didn't even see that Essential Depot had a gallon of VG and PG for $51 including shipping. I will probably go that route and then Bull City for flavors. Thank you for the input!

Where did you buy your nicotine?

I ended up going with NicBase (Delosi Labs) 1Liter is around $75.

It appears Heartland may still ship it but that's not confirmed.

Otherwise, the vendor List has additional options. https://diyejuice.org/supplies/vendor-list

Thank you! Is it necessary to store the nicotine the way you did? I just recently got into DIY, but I only ordered 4oz of nic and I keep it in the fridge.

I don't think freezing is required for 4oz. From what I have read, It will depend on how much you use monthly. It may be worth grabbing an amber glass bottle, or multiples if you plan to purchase more. Then store it somewhere dark that isn't warm. This Wiki has a lot of great info including storage. https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/wiki/diy_beginners_guide

I just got my first order in from Vaporlab last week. Was running low and VG prices on Amazon were through the roof and Glycubes from ED has been insane for a while so I tried them out.

Overall I'm happy with the purchase but I will say I do not like the container they used. The one I received was different than the one on the website. It does not pour well and I have never had problems pouring VG from a gallon jug into a smaller container before this. Just a bad design for such a viscous liquid IMO but the VG is fine.

They did ship quick and it looks like they dropped the price by a couple bucks since I ordered too so give it a shot.

For flavors start making a cart on Bull City and wait for the Memorial Day sale Monday.

That is good to know! I know their retail locations have good reviews but couldn't find any info on VG or PG.

I may be looking at the wrong item on ED? They have a gallon of VG + PG for $51 with free shipping. I know that's not a great ratio, and I'd use up the VG before the PG but the price seems good.

You read my mind! I was just looking through recipes and adding flavors to my cart on Bull City, then realized they will probably have a sale for Memorial Day.

Yeah that's not terrible for 1 pg 1 vg. Guess I missed it when I was looking but I also didn't need PG.

I used to order the glycube all the time 3gal VG 1gal PG but its like 180 now which is like $45/gal. Switched to ordering on amazon where I could almost always get a gallon for 20-25 and now they are like 35-40 which is why I went with VaporLab at like 25/gallon. I get PG at Tractor Supply these days since its like $20/gal and USP food grade.

You'll use up the VG first for sure but its not like the PG wont keep. Would only really be an issue if you ordered that bundle every time you needed VG but for starting out you should be good.

Bull City will definitely have a sale for Memorial Day but have your cart ready I'd say probably Friday in case they announce early so you can jump on it because they usually sell out of some of the more popular flavors in popular sizes fairly quick and it can become a pain if you wait and every time you go to check out you have to replace something that got sold out so you can hit free shipping and by the time you get it sorted something else is gone.

That makes sense! I may just get more VG from Vapor Lab or ED on Amazon once I need it. I did think their 3 Gallon VG + 1Gallon PG was spendy considering the deal for $51, didn't make sense but they must market to Vapers at this point haha.

So I have about $150 worth of flavors in my Bull City cart (30ML bottles) Enough to cover several recipes based on the guides through this subreddit. Specifically the 2016 contest list from https://diyejuice.org/flavors/first-order Do you recommend anything specific or different size of flavors? I'm not too picky overall but I know some flavors I'll probably finish before others.

Appreciate all the information as well!

Vapor Lab has always given very prompt service online. I lived in Louisville for 3 years and loved the place because of the mellow but knowledgeable staff. Just recently began ordering online from them and have been pleased so far.
