Go to flavor concentrates
submitted about 3 years ago by bs2k2_point_0

What is your go to favorite flavor concentrates and from what company? Just getting back into mixing after a several year hiatus and am looking for suggestions on flavors that are best for multiple recipes. I have a few flavors I just got but am looking for suggestions on more. Thank you!

First flavors. Your best bet is finding a bunch of recipes that use the same flavors in general. Watch Noted flavor reviews as well.

Check out the sidebar/about section of this sub. There's tons of info on flavors, vendors, mixing, clones, you name it.

Do people still use TFA Vanilla Swirl? I know it was very popular a decade ago but it seemed to have gone out of favor.

It's definitely still used in many recipes old and new alike. I think it will always remain a staple ingredient. It can be used to add body to a recipe or smooth out rough edges. The base is quite neutral, as it's not really a full on ice cream and has no custard notes. It also mixes great with whatever you throw at it.

Check out some recipes that look good to you and/or are popular on https://alltheflavors.com/recipes

That's what I do and works out pretty well for me because I cannot keep up with all these flavors!

Please take to heart that flavors from diffrent companies can be wildly different even if they are all called the same name. Mango from one maker will not taste the same, be as strong, or need the same amount in a recipe to make the flavor that you want. I highly recommend using flavors that are abundant and easy to source and you will never know the heartbreak of not being able to find it in 6 months.

Vapable/chefs flavours/nomnomz is where i go, usually looking at who is the cheapest depending on what discount codes are available. Potv works all the time for 10% off vapable products..

Graham cracker clear. It takes any cheesecake recipe to another level. And I love my cheesecake recipes.

Hi! Well, you sure are in for a treat. There have been a lot of new releases over the past 2 years. Flavorah (FLV), Chemnovatic (CNV), Sobucky Super Aromas (SSA), Capella (CAP) and Wonder Flavors (WF) as well as FlavourArt (FA) come to mind. I forgot to mention Jungle Flavors (JF). You can have ATF search recipes from the past 2 years. I follow a few mixers on ATF that make amazing recipes utilizing new flavors - wolfwheeler‘s DavisN2KL‘s and mindfloodz‘s recipes are definitely worth looking at (many others as well). Welcome back to DIY!

how do you filter best recipes per year on ATF?

ATF → Recipes → Sort → By Rating . . . works for me.

Yeah it works but you will find older recipes not by year
