####Q: How do flavors get put on the schedule?
####A: Requests and suggestions from people like YOU!
If there's something you'd like to see, just post a request in this thread. You can request both a specific flavor profile and where it lands on the calendar.
Last night the Noted Crew reached another milestone with ep 250! Doing some quickie math, that's (nearly) FIVE FRICKING YEARS of "walking talking Flavor Notes"! I think it's time to give a big THANK YOU to our friends /u/ID10-T , /u/mlNikon , /u/eyeMsam89 , /u/CheebaSteeba , and the long line of guests that have joined the gang!
DISCLAIMER - there's actually been 252 episodes, because "someone" stumbled on the numbering . . .
ep 58 - Mango & Ginger
ep 247 - Strawberry Lemonade & Blueberry Jam
If you want to enjoy a Blast from the Past - take a peek at the very first episode and see how things have changed -> NOTED: Ep. 1 - The First Flavor Notes Show
It's just a chance to get a few blueberries-mixed-with-other-stuff flavors out of the way before we dive it to the straight-up blueberries next week.
I have WF Blueberry Smoothie, CSC Blueberry Cheesecake, RFSC Blueberry Acai Pomegranate, CAP Blueberry Pomegranate, and VT Blueberry Milkshake.
I found one recipe using one of these that interests me: Pink Stuff by Clownfish. If you have another one you think I should try, please share.
Can someone maybe tell me what exactly bilberry is I see it’s always paired with blueberry but it’s not actually a blueberry flavor is it?
It's similar, but not the same.
Here is a copy-paste from Noted Bilberry. Bilberries are small, dark blue/purple berries. Bilberry is hand harvested, not machine harvested. In woods you'd be able to collect less than a liter of bilberries in an hour (if lucky). Blueberry is cultivated while bilberry is wild species and almost impossible to cultivate. Bilberries are easy to find in forests in Europe, but they’re more of a rarity in the US. You might be able to find them in some specialized food stores.
Anyone who has tasted bilberry will tell you that cultivated blueberries are nothing like it. The taste is different, stronger, more flavorful and intense, 'wild'. Overall, the flavor is unique, and once you try it, you will fall in love with it! One thing is sure - you'd never pick ablueberry juice/yogurt/smoothie/jam/syrup/liqueur/cooking/baking or a fresh fruit if you had a chance to get a bilberry one instead. Never. Noone would. Period.
Bilberry is also full of antioxydants. In fact, several scientific studies showed that bilberries have unique health benefits (e.g., protect against cancer, aging, and heart disease), mainly due to their high levels of antioxidants. Also, bilberries are a rich source of natural fibers, which helps maintain a healthy bowel, lowers cholesterol, and control blood sugar levels that reduce your risk for diabetes. Lastly, bilberries contain high amounts of vitamins (such as vitamins A, C, D, and K), manganese, potassium (way way higher than BB's). Studies found that higher regular consumption of bilberries positively impacted vision and the eyes’ overall health. In summary, they are truly a superfood of nature.
For some reason blueberry always brings up bakery/dessert in my head and not drinks/candies/etc. I guess I haven't really had a blueberry candy before, but I feel like it would be really good.
POM Pomegranate-Blueberry juice is fantastic and I wonder how those pairings would do in an e-liquid.
I really like sadboy blueberry jam cookie. Was thinking about trying this clone. Had anyone tried it yet or have any pointers?
Love me some blueberry. The Jam Monster Blueberry Jam recipe is delicious. Been subbing the Super Sweet with Marshmallow though. Any other ideas for a sweetener that avoids sucralose?
Stevia. Flavors that bring out sweetness like cotton candy.
Oh wow, didn't think of Stevia. Just saw that Bull City has some flavors premixed with Stevia. Is that recommended or should I go more towards dissolving powdered Stevia into the PG?
I love blueberry muffins so I'm hoping to win some blueberry flavors.
Very new to mixing so haven't tried using blueberry yet. Local shop had a Blueberry and Pinapple combo that I really enjoyed. Would be fun to try my own take on that and add some creaminess to it.
Do you have a favorite pineapple, or any pineapple, yet?
I've been enjoying a tropical BB mix lately. Loosely inspired by Decided Atlantis.
Blueberry - FW: 4%.
Blueberry candy - TFA: 1.5%.
Fizzy Sherbet - VTA: 2%.
Fresh Pineapple - CAP: 2.5%.
Sweet Guava - CAP: 6%.
Super sweet - CAP: 1%.
it's pretty tasty. Will probably change it up at some point to a different Blueberry.
I'd like to know if anyone has tried FA blueberry fruity candy
Love me some FLV Blueberry Muffin. While it’s lacking in the muffin department, it’s got a perfect cooked blueberry.
My shameless blueberry recipe for the week:
Ingredient|% :---|---: Bilberry (Mirtillo) (FA)|0.25 Blueberry Muffin (Flavorah)|2.00 Blueberry, Wild (TPA)|2.00 Cupcake Batter (Flavorah)|1.00 Lemon Juicy (Jungle Flavors)|0.50 Liquid Stevia|0.50 Nonna's Cake (FA)|1.25 Sweetener (Sucralose) (FW)|0.25 Vanilla Custard II (TPA)|1.50
Flavor total: 9.26%
I would love to play around with these flavors
