Black or Orange wrapped Halloween Peanut Butter Taffy. -

🔹 Flavor Description 🔹
If you've ever went trick or treating as a child and had those little dry peanut butter taffy candies wrapped in a black or orange paper wrapper, this is that flavor. Wonder Flavours did a great job recreating this profile in a concentrated form.
Although this was never one of my favorite candies, it is much more pleasing in vape form. I would actually throw those away with the Smarties and most the suckers that tasted like trash. With that being said, I do actually like this flavoring a lot. It has promise for more than just a peanut butter taffy flavor which I'll go further into later in the review.
This flavoring has a fairly dry peanut butter note that has a creamy body that I believe is coming from the taffy. Its not a dark or roasted peanut butter note, but very much in line with the peanut butter flavor in those Halloween candies. The dryness I get from this on the exhale only adds to the authenticity of the flavor profile as I have always found them a bit dry and was the primary reason I didn't eat them.
In vape form this is actually much more pleasing for me though. If you love those Halloween taffys you'll love this for sure! If you hate them, you might actually like this as I do. It could still be a very useful additive with other peanut butters in a recipe.
This is not an in your face peanut butter flavor like the TFA Peanut Butters or the SSA Peanut butter. Its much lighter at 5% by comparison than any of those. If you just wanted a light peanut butter in a recipe, this would be perfect as a background note. I could see a great peanut butter trinity coming out of using this flavoring in conjunction with TFA and SSA peanut butters.
🔹 Comments 🔹
Suggested Usage Range: 3-5% (I found 5% solo to be my sweet spot for authenticity to the profile)
Pairing: Milkshake, cream, marshmallow, bread, toast, root beer, caramel, chocolate, hazelnut, almond, macadamia, cheesecake, nougat, custard, pie, cookie, ice cream, banana, tobacco, RY4, whiskey/Bourbon, cereal, other peanut butter flavors, vanilla, toffee, and apple to name a few
Steep time: good off the shake, but the peanut butter fills out more between 7-14 days. 21 days the creaminess becomes even more present but it loses a little of its dryness that I find adds authenticity to the taffy profile in this flavor.
This is a very accurate flavoring to what Wonder Flavours was going for and I don't regret purchasing this one. Its tasty, satisfying and outside of being a little weak, it's an above average flavor. For this I give it an A-
Calipitter Chow added and a touch of ccw Devon cream and I'm thinking I may love this. Ya think?
That sounds really good! Might have to try that out
Wasn't all my idea. Lynda P and I had been talking about the Devon Cream for weeks now, then she mentioned wanting to try this Taffy with Calipitter from Mom and Pop's, around the same time Both you and SessionDrummer are saying how good the peanut butter Taffy is...
I've had a soft spot for all things peanut butter since grade school...just forgot those candies. Dude, your reviews and their format!!! Whole nother level of great! Thanks for checking all the boxes!
Thank you very much Crypto, glad you are enjoying them. I have a recipe using Calipitter Chow and CC Devon cream as well. Its called Butterfly Effect. Its really tasty as written, but I could see this Taffy (peanut butter) working well in that recipe if I ever remix it
I've got a recipe called Snickering- ( Snickers Bar type) using this at the moment.
Anutter great review.
