DX-free Banana Cream =/= a good home fragrance
submitted about 3 years ago by Hopeful-Zombie4000

Went to go drip some Dx-free Banana Cream into my graduated cylinder, forgetting that I had removed the driptop from the fragrance bottle when I was using a syringe a few days ago. Was only paying half attention, and ended up dumping half a bottle all over my coffee table, which dripped onto me and on my rug. Now I can't get rid of the smell of banana-y vomit no matter how much I scrub the rug and wipe down the coffee table.

Please send thoughts and prayers.

Ouch. I deep sixed all my banana flavors after discovering that the Sterilite tub I was storing them in now has a permanent candied fake banana stench infused into it. The idea of that being stuck in a coffee table and the living room rug is…viscerally distressing.

Presumably it is an organic compound, so an enzyme cleaner may help substantially.

~~Dogs are handy at cleaning up all sorts of spilt stuff (just not nicotine`!). if you don't have a dog then borrow a neighbors dog :o)~~

You could hand the rug on a clothes line and give it a real good hosing it down then let it hang there until fully dry.

Be careful- PG is poisonous to either dogs or cats, I forget which.

Thanks. I knew dark chocolate was toxic to dogs but didn't know PG was dangerous to some animals.
