Labels - I’m not sure if it’s vg/pg or Nic but when I’ve written on bottles with a Sharpie, it’s either wiped off or if using a paper based label, goes funky when it get wet.
So stupid question of the day - what labels do you find good that last a good while and actually hold onto the marker pen.
Put some clear packing tape or similar over the paper label. You could also just write with sharpie on the tape and put another piece of tape over that.
I also use a white paint pen to write on the neat chalkboard black plastic labels I have. Holds up well.
Mixing percentages for different concerntrates
Say for example I’m using two concerntrates that are reccomended to be mixed at 20%
Do I give them 20% each or 10% each?
You would definitely not want to mix 40% flavour.
Generally speaking you’d reduce the percentage if using multiple flavours but there isn’t a general rule as to by how much.
Example. You combine a strawberry and banana. Both are recommended at 20% (which seems high to me but…) if you wanted a more forward strawberry with banana in the background you could do 13% strawberry and 7% banana. Try small batches and play around with it. You find the balance you like.
Thank you! I thought as much but figured I’d check:)
Make sure you look up the flavor to see how it's being used

Much better to base your usage on averages or the way it's used for a specific effect than to split flavors up arbitrarily based on ratios or overall flavor.
What if I mix a 50/50 vg pg unflavoured liquid with my existing nic salt which has 50/50 vg pg and 50 mg nicotine per 30 ml will it mix well and be safe to vape ? I just want to lower my nicotine strength but keep the same vg/pg ratio. Its okay if the flavour loses its strength.
I have a justfog minifit with1.6 ohm and 7watt voltage.
Do you mean 50 mg/ml? Cuz 50 mg per 30 ml would make it like 1.6 mg or something.
Yes mixing them should be fine as long as you don’t care about the reduction in Flavour.
Yes i meant 50 mg , i want to go around .8 mg per 1 ml . And for flavour maybe i can try some zero nicotine liquid with similar vg/pg ratios.
I mean to go that low you’re gonna have to dilute it ALLOT. If my math is right, to make a 30 ml bottle of .8 mg, you’ll need .48 ml of your 50 mg juice and the rest is your unflavoured zero nic base. you’ll have no noticeable flavour or sweetening left at that point.
If you had a zero nic flavoured juice it’d be better. Or just buy some flavour concentrates and add those.
My friends think my juice is harsh.
They all use Juul, they buy the 2.4%. I clean pods, replace wick and very lightly dry-burn when necessary and then clean the coil.
I make juice at 6mg, 50/50 "hit" salt/freebase at 70/30 VG/PG.
They always seem to cough on their first couple of drags of my pods, but not with Juul's pods.
IMO Juul's pods are harsher, not only because of the amount of nicotine, but also the vapor quality. For reference, I saved some flavors (24mg salts) from Blue Dot and think they are also smoother. Personally, I think mine are very light and smooth.
Any idea about what's going on? Is it the VG/PG ratio? Is the PurNic "hit" salt really that much harsher compared to Juul's salt? Is freebase even at 3mg and through a pod actually harsh?
I did some calculations wrong and my juice is now flavorless and spicy. Is it worth saving?
I mixed 3ml of PG aroma (10%), 6ml of nicotine base (80VG/20PG) and rest 21ml is (70VG/30PG) base.
What i need is guide to make it 70VG/30PG and not so harsh. Also any advice why is it so harsh?
Generally speaking no. When you screw up a juice you’re better just starting over. That’s why it’s best to make small test batches so you don’t waste too much. Use a recipe calculator like the rest of us do. Then you won’t mess up your calculations ;) all the flavors is a good and simple one for beginners and experienced alike.
As for what you did wrong I have no idea as I have no viable Information to go by. What flavour did you use? (Brand and flavour name please) how many mg/ml is your nicotine base? What mg nic were you aiming for here? What colour is your nic base? With it being 80 vG did you shake the hell out of it? If not you may have nic hot spots.
As for a guide there are a ton of resources linked at the top of this thread. If you haven’t read them I highly suggest it. They will teach you the basics.
Anyways. Lemme know the info I asked for and I’ll see if i can spot any issues.
Jungle juice coffee mill, 20mg aiming for 4mg, transparent, shaken a little.
Yeah i used a calculator little did i know that mixing with 100vg and 100pg base is not same as just adding 70/30base as i did.
Is the harshness coming from the nicotine or the PG?
Ok so you’re using a one shot. I can’t comment on that as most of us use single flavour concentrates to craft recipes. It’s possible it could be the flavour. Some flavours are just harsh and of not blended properly will just be harsh. You could try lowering the percentage. But I’m just speculating.
When I do a sample mix with the values you gave me these are the numbers I get. so this should give you an idea of roughly what should be in there. Using a 70/30 base whouldn’t have skewed this enough to see noticeable differences.
If you’re using mostly VG based nic you have to shake the ever living hell out of it at a warm room temp. Reason being the nic doesn’t mix as well as it does with plain PG and could give you spots where the nic is stronger. Hot spots. That can cause harshness. You shouldn’t be getting harshness from the PG at these levels.
What I’d suggest doing is mix an unflavoured sample of 4 mg and vape it. See if it’s harsh. If it is. Try vaping just some of your vg/pg (no nic) Then you’ll know if it’s coming from your flavour, nic or base.
Why there’s no flavour, I can only speculate, but sometimes over flavouring can cause muting. Or the flavour could just be garbage. You’ll have to play around with some small batches to find out.
Lastly, is there sweetener in it? If not, This could be why it doesn’t taste good if you’re used to commercial.
Hi there,so today i bought a new flavor that comes in a 60ml bottle. There's 20ml of flavor inside and i wanted to add 20ml of nicotine and 20ml of base 70/30.Is this alright or am i screwing it up?
Edit: i also have a 120ml bottle with 10ml of flavor in it,how much base and nicotine should i add to this?
That depends on what nicotine strength you are trying to achieve (mg/ml) and the strength of the nicotine that you are going to add. I assume the 60ml is a shortfill and the 120ml is a longfill? They should have instructions on the label or website where you ordered from. So what strength nicotine do you want your finished eliquid to be? What is the strength of your nicotine base and is it also 70/30?
baseness flavor percentage help. I try to keep under 10-12% a recipe, but sometimes a base I use at 6% plus comes out on the exhale, especially with cocktail vapes. The accent flavors coming out on top at 1-4.50%. Any help? I usually shoot for a blended flavor and not an inhale note, exhale note, although sometime it's kinda light. Sorry about the spelling, doing this quickly at work.
