####Q: How do flavors get put on the schedule?
####A: Requests and suggestions from people like YOU!
If there's something you'd like to see, just post a request in this thread. You can request both a specific flavor profile and where it lands on the calendar.
I LOVE blueberry bakery recipes, however when it comes to the flavoring, I find most to fall a bit short as a complete blueberry bakery package. FLV Blueberry Muffin is really the only flavor that comes to mind that really comes close, but it still leaves a lot to be desired. I do find the FLV BB muffin pairs well with Capella's new "nut muffin" to fill it out more, but you gotta want nuts in your muffin. With that being said this still leaves a huge hole in your blueberry layer due to FLV's weak blueberry note. This is easily remedied with the use of FW blueberry and a little WF blueberry jam. Or if you're living high on the horse, all you need is a little Medicine Flower Blueberry and you're good to go. When it comes to blueberry bakery recipes, the best of the best is Esdeath by Wolfwheeler. That stuff if my go to ADV.
I'm not a big fan of blueberries, but I'm curious about it as a vape flavour. There's a few flavours I enjoy vaping that I don't care for eating so tell me the best ones to try.
Depends on whether you want a fresh blueberry or a baked one. For this week's topic, I have a few more to try but without having dug into those yet, I can say, get FLV Blueberry Muffin. It doesn't really have any muffin to speak of, which is kind of annoying for a flavor called Blueberry Muffin, but it tastes like you picked the blueberries out of a muffin and are just eating those.
Funny, I love BB Muffin too--despite it needing a little help on both the berry and the muffin ends--but for me it comes through in the opposite way: the muffin component more definite and prominent than the (mild) blueberry. This is just as well, as getting a nice blueberry is relatively easy, but I've yet to try anything so actually muffiny as FLV BB Muffin.
One day, ima win one of these things lol 👽
I didn’t know I like bakery vapes until I tried on recommendation the PUR Blueberry Peach Pastry. I love it on its own already!
I've been vaping all types of Blueberry-ness the last 4+ years. Too bad I'm not in a position to DIY my own. Nice thread.
Do you have a fav blueberry juice in particular or maybe even a top 5?
Hey - So, Marina Vape used to make a good blueberry something (Blueberry Donuts), Our local joint makes a pretty good Blueberry Cream, VaporVapes and VapeDudes online had a decent Blueberry, Monster Something makes a good one... There are others but they are either really expensive now, sketchy online stores, or out of business. I've considered dabbling in trying to make my own, but I really have no idea how to begin.. Thanks for inquiring!
Medicine FLower wins hands down, friend filled my tank with Blueberry cobbler made with MF . Game over the rest suck lol.
I ordered a 30 instantly
I'm going to throw my favorite BB Bakery wild card into the mix with FLV BB Muffin + PUR BB Peach Pastry: CHF/ CSC Blueberry Cheesecake! omg it's SO good! the BB part may need a little bolstering in a recipe, but I went through 30mls of it as an SFT at 3% during the Chef's Super Concentrates FOTQ reviews. it's probably great used at a lower %, but I only tried it at 3%.
Good call on the 3% Blueberry Cheesecake. I tried it at 0.75% and found it very weak, but that was right in the middle of what Chefs themselves recommended IIRC. Bumped up to 1.25% and haven’t tried that yet but my friend did and said it was still really soft.
FlV - blueberry muffin for the win. I see I'm not the only one that likes this flavor. It's the flavor that popped to mind when I saw the title. I taste a hint of muffin at the back in. I wished we could get more of that flavor. It will be cool to find out other cooked blueberries out there.
There’s a flavor called FW Wild Berry Cobbler Ala Mode. Just by the title alone sounds really delicious. But I can’t find many reviews on it and it isn’t used a alot. (Like based on the recipe count on ATF).
I think this flavor fits FOTW and I’d really like to know if it’s yummy or crappy
Wasn't that long ago, I think my memory is slipping. Apparently I wrote this in December 2020:
FW Wild Berry Cobbler A La Mode 5% - Pretty damn legit.. Warm, dark, sweet, jammy cooked mixed berries that mostly taste like a combination of blackberries and strawberries up front and later in the exhale, a soft and somewhat doughy bakery. No floral or medicinal notes. It’s well rounded and a solid as a single flavor. Bakery is just a bit buttery and this is so smooth compared to all of these other mixed berry flavors.
Problem, they went and called it a la mode and there's no La Mode that I can find. That's supposed to be ice cream, right? Yeah, there's no ice cream here, but still, it's yummy.
What to do with it. 1) Add the ice cream that should be there but isn't. 2) Toss in some spice (cardamom comes to mind first, but cinnamon is probably more conventional). 3) If adding ice cream or whipped cream further softens the relatively light bakery and that needs a boost, add a bakery, CAP Sugar Cooke would probably be good. 4) accentuate either the blackberry or strawberry, or go nuts and add yet another berry.
Memory jogged.
While it's true that the ATF recipe count is relatively low, some of these recipes look amazing now that I remember the flavor more clearly.
Busy Antennae (but I would replace the LB VIC with my own VIC base)
Wild Berry Ice Cream (same deal with the LB)
Those are all going on the to-mix list now. Especially that Bite Me.
> That's supposed to be ice cream, right?
I thought so too until I saw this movie where a guy says to his niece after ordering a pie a la mode and she asks the waitress, what does a la mode mean? And she replies , “it means with ice cream”
Then he says to his niece “A la mode, in French translates literally as, in the fashion. Mode is derived from the latin Modus, meaning due or proper measure.
I thought that was fun to share. And thanks for the flavor notes on that one. I probably should pick up that flavor and try to ignore the a la mode part, hehee
