I am new to this and I think I made a mistake. I ordered

Nicotine Base - NicSelect

(Strength: 3mg, PG/VG: 30PG / 70VG, Size: 1 Gallon)

I thought it was just premix well now i know better. But I am wondering since its already at 3mg is it safe to vape without mixing thats the part I dont understand.

You can vape a premix on its own if you wish (if you want 3mg) It’s intended to just add flavour and sweetener to it. However you’ll have to the math on the nic level depending on how much % flavour you add to it.

Should be fine yep. Seems like it's meant for diluting a higher strength eliquid to lower the nic, or an eliquid of the same nic level to change the PG/VG ratio. So it works for that too.

Edit: also you could just add the flavorings since it won't increase the volume too much and then not worry about adding nicotine base or PG or VG. Just keep in mind the more flavorings you add more dilute it gets, so it will be lower than 3 mg nic.

Thanks that is helpful. I am trying to find a good vendor to buy from I ended up getting my flavors from bullcityflavors. But I am not sure a good place to get pg and vg and if I should just get it with the nic included. Is it cheaper to mix myself or just have someone do it all and I just add the flavors.

BCF pg and vg are fine. If you’re in the states it’s the best place to get flavours from too imo.

It’s better to buy 100mg/ml nic (most prefer PG base), PG, VG all separately so that you can mix a more accurate recipe. Premixes make unnecessary math out of figuring out your nic level and PG/VG ratio and in most cases is more expensive

Hey, I'm new to the DIY and I thought I would dip my toes into the water with One Shots. I bought some flavors and VG/PG. Does anyone have any recommendations for liquid-nicotine, a scale, and bottles. What nicotine strength should I be using too?

Check out the vendors list for nic suppliers near you. Best to work with 100 mg/ml PG based nic if you can get that where you are.

Far as scales, idk I use a professional one that i had from my other business. Def don’t need something that fancy. Ideally you want one that measures from .01g to 500 grams. But up to 200 will do it you’re only mixing small batches. If you search scale in the sub I’m sure you’ll find some more specific recs. Or just look on Amazon.

With Wizard Labs closing, what's a better go-to company for flavorings? I've looked at the vendor list but I've literally only bought from Wizard Labs since 2013. Guidance would be appreciated?

They’re closing? What a shame. If you’re in the states I’d suggest bull city or diy Vapor supply. They both have huge selections and good prices.

Yeah. Just got the email a bit ago, they have been throwing more sales than normal so I guess the CBD side might have tanked them. They tried to expand into a well saturated market :(

I'm in the US, I'll check those two out. Thank you!

Lol this may seem like a dumb question but If I added 30 ml of 18 mg e liquid to 30ml of 3mg what would I end up with?

I got given some 18 mg banana ejuice that I mixed with my 3mg vanilla custard and got a pretty good banana pudding flavor. How strong is it? I can’t figure out the math lol. It doesn’t taste too strong but I think the nicotine is old because it’s a darker color but idk if that’s just because it’s a stronger juice than I’m used to (I use 6mg normally but wanted something a little higher)

((30x18) + (30x3)) / 60 = 10.5

How do you make e juice without any flavourings because I'm getting sick of the elux disposables I've been vaping on so how do you make the unflavoured e juice?.

That's just VG/PG plus nicotine at your desired ratio/mg.

There was an amazing write-up with all cherry flavors reviewed, I have been searching for over an hour and I can't find it, it was such a good post and I'm still looking for it as I want to try some of those. I've been searching like mad through all the notes and saved links and somehow this one slipped!

Does anyone happen to have link for it saved somewhere? It would be hugely appreciated!

Not sure the one you’re talking about but have you tried noted episodes on YouTube? Try to find the latest one of cherries. They’re my go to for flavour research

There was a big post from someone who tried most of them and rated them with a short description, it was a very good post and he rated which ones tasted like plastic.
I was sure I saved it somewhere but I can't find it :'(.

I don't think I'm familiar with that channel, do they compare more cherry manufacturers? That would also be useful.

I can’t say I’ve seen that.

Noted is run by DIY or DIE. They do about a 1.5-2 hr show weekly. Usually ID10–T, Emily and cheeba steeba with a guest. And they run through all of the known flavours/brands in that profile. They usually rank the best ones and honestly, I watch it just for Dave’s hilarious descriptions of flavours that go on my avoid list lmao.

There’s currently 2 cherry shows from what I can see the most recent being 2 yrs ago. Which means they’re prob due for another one soon due to new releases. (Most notably, the most recent ep is missing SSA cherry compote and juicy cherries; both outstanding!!! And the new FA cherry juice which I’ve heard great things about)

noted cherry. 2 yrs ago

noted cherry. 4 yrs ago.

If there’s specific flavour you’re interested in hearing about look for time stamps in the comment section allowing you to skip to specific ones.

I've got a bunch of flavors from around three years ago. Some open, some still sealed. Do these things expire or should they still be good to go? Stored in a desk drawer the entire time.

Thanks !

Most of the time they'll just lose potency and become weaker versions of the same flavor. But there are some flavors that will taste bad/worse because some component of the flavor fades out and what is left doesn't work without it. In my experience it's pretty rare that there's a noticeable difference < 4-5 years in PET bottles but LDPE bottles do seem to fade faster.

Slight issue here: I live in Utah. Can't get nicotine base......

Does anyone here know where I could go? Is it even sold in any shops?

Las Vegas maybe?

Are you saying none of the places on the vendor list will ship to you? Not sure exactly who is still shipping stateside but if you can't find one on that list maybe HiLIQ is worth a shot.

Appreciate the reply! I tried from one vender on the list and they wouldn’t ship to Utah. So I will try the others and see. Thanks!
