####Q: How do flavors get put on the schedule?
####A: Requests and suggestions from people like YOU!
If there's something you'd like to see, just post a request in this thread. You can request both a specific flavor profile and where it lands on the calendar.
Toffee to me is just another way to add what you would call a thinner to a caramel like FA caramel, VT salted caramel, TFA brown sugar, HS Caramel Toffee. I just reordered FW Salted Caramel by mistake intending to order wonder flavor’s caramel salted, but whatever, I live with my mistakes, it’s a fine flavor, I would lump it up with butterscotch ripple by flavor west.
I will say if you want to explore toffee (for this FOTW) buy VT Toffee Ice Cream. It’s weak but it really stands out over 4.5% alone. If you look it up on ATF it’s average sits around 2.75% which I believe doesn’t give it justice. I’ts really smooth, the throat hit is almost zero but there’s no DAAPYness to it. It needs help like with my go to LB Vanilla Ice Cream which IMO is just as weak but it’s full of butter. Or take u/Foment_life DAAPle base, like some FA Custard Premium or INW custard in low percents so as not to drown the already weak VT Toffee Ice cream.
But VT Toffee Ice Cream has worked wonders for me for example
Co. | Flavor | %
---|---|----
VT | Golden Syrup | 0.50%
FLV | Milk and Honey | 0.75
TFA | RY4 Double | 3
INW | Shisha Vanilla | 1
VT| Toffee Ice Cream | 4
Toffee Ice cream is high. I know. But it mixes well with the Ry4. I’m still in the process to test this flavor by itself until I decide I’m wasting the concentrate above 5%
I'm very excited for this episode as I have very few toffee flavors and love the ones I do own. I'm always looking for an excuse to buy new flavors I don't need. I recently finished a recipe with VT English Toffee in it and thought I would share it here.

Return of the Mac: Toffee Cookie Crack
A soft toffee cookie with macadamia butter and a slightly crisped bottom. DD mentioned a macadamia cookie one night and I thought I'd give it a shot, because it sounded tasty.
The cookie: There are a lot of working parts here, but they all serve a purpose. The MB Soft Baked Cookie Base and Cookie Bite serve as the major base players here. The SSA Shortbread Cookies fills it out in a way that serves my tastes in a cookie. The WF Philadelphia Butter Cake is here to add a little soft body and incorporate a little buttery goodness into the mix, which also helps push the toffee a bit. The FLV Caramel is acting as a bit of a grainy brown sugar to add a little darkness and texture to the relatively soft cookie.
The macadamia butter: WF Macadamia Nuts is here for that main nutty note, while WF Cashew adds a little extra nuttiness and smooths the Macadamia Nuts into more of a nut butter component.
The toffee: VT English Toffee is here for the main buttery toffee notes with the WF Caramel (Salted) backing it up and adding a slight saltiness that I think the rest of the mix really benefits from.
VT English Toffee is awesome, you might not need more. Except VT Honeycomb, which is also a kind of toffee.
Do you like VT Butter toffee? It's in my cart...hoping it would be a nice buttery toffee.
Not at all. I found it mostly tastes like spoiled, almost rancid butter, with just a light hint of brown sugar. It has a strong off note that’s sour, like curdled milk. I think it might be butyric acid, but not enough to actually taste like vomit. However, it does kind of make me want to vomit, as that sour milk twang meets the light hint of sweet brown sugar and it gets a little nauseating, especially with that lingering greasyiness. To make matters worse, it even tastes a little more like movie theater butter than real butter. But it does have thick, greasy feel like butter. I guess you could use this low to add a buttery accent to something but there are better butters out there.
YMMV, especially if you're not too sensitive to butyric acid.
There's one flavor that should be part of this week but might get overlooked because it doesn't have "Toffee" in the name - VT Honeycomb. It's awesome! It taste like toffee and meringue had a blonde baby. Light and airy but hard and crackly at the same time. The sweetness is very lightly caramelized sugar. It might be the power of suggestion (the name) but it has a honey-ish vibe to it too. It's not quite a standalone vape - but it doesn't need much help.
What have you paired with the vt honeycomb?
It's good with apples like FLV Apple Filling or PUR Country Apple.
I like it with nuts like WF Honey Roasted Peanuts or FA Hazel Grove.
Try it with the Cheesecake Trinity or Ice Cream Trinity.
It's a good sweetener for Bourbon or Tobacco.
And of course it works well with othe flavors that live in the Caramel Neighborhood - like FLV Milk and Honey.
I've used it to give a "crunchy shell" to Toasted Marshmallow.
I hope there’s a Toffifee or Toffifay recipe out there!
I wish I knew what either of those are
INW horned anyone? I have to believe that FE RY8 and INW horned toffee together hand in hand is proof Cthulhu is great!
VT English Toffee with TPA Banana Nut Bread is a beautiful union!
Oh jeez. Yeah that sounds amazing. Maybe a little dry, if you could add one more thing to that that’s heavy and rich like a bit of custard or a butter flavor
I got a free toffee flavor from DIY flavors, it was solid I used it up as soon as I saw it, thanks DIY flavors! It was my first and only toffee flavor and I cant wait to try more
Love toffee flavors! VT has some amazing ones but I'm curious to hear what you guys think about the toffees you test. Curious if you're recipe choices will be the same as some of my favorites. Can't wait!
