What are my options for good non-PG flavors? Vaping PG causes me issues and I found it kinda hard to find flavors without PG in them
If you search ATF for PG it will list a bunch of flavors that will have a VG counterpart
Can I PM you? I'm having some issues that I think might be related to vaping and I would be really interested in finding out if someone else has had the same thing. I'd love to get some kind of confirmation that PG is the problem before I go spend a bunch of $$ diy-ing max VG juice.
My supplier sells the flavors "repacked"-not in the original bottles. Why? Is this going to change the flavors? (cap, tfa, fa, inw)
They're often buying them in larger quantities due to cost. e.g., a lot of flavourart bottles are 10ml or 120ml direct from them and sealed. Most people don't want to buy 120ml of one flavoring, so they buy the larger quantity and then break it up. It isn't entirely ideal, eg:
- Shelf life is lowered as they're being exposed to O2 and they aren't being resealed with argon gas and such.
- Depending on how it's done, it's harder to know exactly when what you've bought was manufactured and is expected to expire.
The tradeoff is it's much cheaper to the consumer for more variety, as while there's still a DIY and baking market it isn't what it was.
Well I had a question but it is clear as day the last rule

We don't know commercial recipes unless they were released by the company.
Can anyone link to some good Vanilla Custard recipes? I have TPA Vanilla Custard and bunch of other flavors
can someone please explain the difference between nic and nic salt? is there a specific instance when you would use one over the other? I have some normal nic in my freezer but sort of want to try salt for my next mix and I can't find any info other than it offers a smoother vape.
Freebase nic is metabolized slower than nic salt. So freebase nic lasts longer in the body. The PH of nic salt is more closer to the PH of our bodies. It isn’t as harsh to your throat allowing you to use higher levels of nic salts than freebase at low power. It’s not advised to vape high levels of nic salts at high power.
Hi, I'm new to mixing, is it okay to mix base as 70/30 VG PG with 50/50 VG PG nic shot?
Should I buy 70/30 nic shot instead of 50/50?
(my VG/PG bases are separate)
~~It’s fine if you don’t mind the difference in ratio. Use this calculator~~
Just use a calculator like ATF or ELR and use 50/50 nic. Remember, you dilute the nicotine everytime you add anything to it
Mixing fa honey. I heard this is strong stuff. If I want this as a base flavor what percentage would be a good start? .5? I read that for some 1 percent is strong and overpowers other flavorings. Thanks.
I would start at 0.25% for super potent flavors like that. If it's still too strong make a dilution cuz scales USUALLY aren't accurate enough to handle lower percentages than that if mixing 30 mL bottles. Forget about mixing tens unless you dilute!
How do I know which flavors need delution? It would be good I someone put a potent concentrate list in the side bar.
Check out flavor reviews. They usually give you a heads up. There are actually very few that need to be diluted unless you mix really small batches most of the time. If a flavor is best at 0.25% or less then dilute. And as another person stated, you can get a scale that is accurate to 0.001 instead of 0.01. I only have 1-3 that I dilute but the minimum I mix is 30 mL and since I mostly know what I like I usually do 100 to 200 mL.
Hey, i just started to mix my own vape juice, but im lost. Bought a evapor 50/50 nicotine free base and a big mouth flavor, hit up the calculator and found this for 10 ml juice: PG 3.80 ml VG 5.00 ml flavour 1.20 ml. And im confused how to mix 3.80 ml PG whem i only have a 50/50 base?
There should be an option to use vape ready base on the calculator. The Calc is currently telling you that you need to add PG in order to meet your preferred ratio.
Are you adding VG but not PG?
Anyone have a good tart/sour recipe? Seems like a lot of the ones I’ve been pulling off ELR are almost to sweet.
Temperature for Steeping/brewing/mixing
Hi, I’ve never made my own juice before, but really interested in getting into it.
The one thing I’m conscious of, is keeping everything away from my kids, neat nicotine etc isn’t the best thing for them to get hold of after all, so I was going to set everything up in my workshop.
It doesn’t drop below freezing or anything, but it’s not warm in there in the winter, is the temp important to the process, will it kill your juice or just slow down the process?
Cool dark place is best for your mixes. Hide them in your sock drawer. If your kids are snoopy, lock them in a small safe and put it in the drawer. Your nic should go into the freezer. Your working bottle in a cool dark place. Somewhere high, out of reach for the kids. If you’re that concerned get a second safe just for that. In Japan, our freezer is at the bottom of the refrigerator. Your freezer is probably above the refrigerator. Put your decanted nic in tupperware containers. These are stackable and store them at the rear of your freezer. If your kids can read, make a “do not touch” placard and adhere it to the containers. If you want to go overboard, buy a dedicated deep freezer and lock it
Why are my juices so bitter and shade? (using a Caliburn A2, 50/50, quality nicotine, 10 mg)
Shade?
