I like a good throat hit and my vape shop only sells 60PG/40VG base mix and I have always enjoyed 80PG/20VG when vaping.
How do I calculate how much PG I will need to add to my bottle to take it from 60% PG to 80% PG?
Hey guys I’m about to place an order to get some more flavours does anyone have any beginner friendly shake n vape recipes you think I should try. Thank you

Any good recipies for a saltycaramel popcorn flavour ?
Salted Caramel FW, Kettle Corn TPA is surprisingly good... Those are two concentrates I'd use, won't even need any AP or anything with the Kettle Corn as it has a pretty punchy flavour to it

So.. I am trying to mix my favourite flavour mint cherry 🍒 I have FA black cherry (3.5%) and FA cherries (5%) what ratio would you recommend between those two to enhance the chery flavour?
I am trying to achieve a deeper cherry flavour I know my mint ratio for it. I used 2.5% last time and I found it perfect but no idea how much of the cherries flavour to add to give a second layer of complimentary flavour
Are you using a pod? Cuz 3.5% & 5% is pretty high for those cherries otherwise. You might be getting muting. I would probably not use this combo if I wanted a good full cherry flavour tbh. But working with your given combo, idk. Try lowering by 25%? Add a touch of lemon to brighten up or even a touch of another fruit like strawberry or pomegranate to give it something more for backnotes. You could even go outside cherries to get a cherry flavour like INW marzipan.
My go to’s for cherry are SSA juicy cherries or SSA cherry compote depending on what profile I’m aiming for. Those are frigging gooooood.
WF black cherry jellybean is also fantastic and might add the depth you’re seeking while giving it some “chew”. If I were to make a nice full round cherry I’d probably do 2% cherry compote, 1.5% juicy cherries and .35% black cherry jellybean.
And though I’ve not got my hands on it yet, I’ve heard great things about the new FA cherry juice.
Thought of this after my first response. This is how I knew about marzipan tasting like cherry lol. cherry bomb by ID10-T
To me this is a good example of a well crafted and non cough syrup tasting cherry. It’s not what you’re after but perhaps you can work with parts of it.
Not used to reddit and the rules was told to post over yonder. Thanks
I only have the bottle sizes of tried and true flavors I have been vaping for years and years. My local shop can't swap and mix flavors and they only have one that I like. The other shop I go to..the owner made another location and sold this one off and they can't mix at that location and are always out of stock. Every other "vape " shop is crap with sweetened nasty crap juices. So here I am .
Strawberry 30ml Kiwi 12ml Cantaloupe 12mg Watermelon 12
Bought a 500ml premixed 50/50 vg/pg With no nic And another 500ml premixed with 12mg nic.
I do want more strawberry/melony flavor with hints of the kiwi and even less of the watermelon.
Anyone with vast enough knowledge to know by like half a bottle of this quarter bottle of that of am I a With those sizes is there anyway to guesstimate how much flavor I should add??
Thanks guys .
>Anyone with vast enough knowledge to know by like half a bottle of this quarter bottle of that
You are in for a disaster. First off, you haven't told us what brand your flavors are. Second, there is NO WAY you are going to mix "a half bottle of this and a quarter bottle of that": considering that recipes are 5-20% total flavoring, we're talking 3-12ml in a 60ml bottle TOTAL. Then there is the issue of your base: are you aiming for 70-80% PG in your mix?
Stop. Read all the articles in the side bar. Start again.
What side bar? Not used to reddit and all the rules. I've been directed twice but know I know lol. I'm ok with 50/50 to 85/15 pushing it. I figured with the PG in the juice and dilution ect.
Delosi labs
I figured with the ML measurement you could get a round about. I'm not crazy picky nor a brand new vapor so I know it's not mac and cheese. I bought enough to play around with.
I always learn from disaster lol
> What side bar?
This Sidebar. If it works for you. But usually it’s right there on the side.
That link comes up as mod tools and inaccessible. On mobile at least.
Adding for u/tourquefl that if you’re on a mobile app the sidebar info is under the menu or about tabs from the main page of this sub. The links in the weekly new mixers post (above) also have relevant info. Rule number 1 in this sub is read the sidebar. We are here to help but we expect you to do your homework and understand the absolute basics first. 🔮I see lots of reading in your future. 😉
The sidebar is the info on the right side of the screen if you are using reddit on a browser.
Your amounts don't make sense in regards to diy mixing. We mix using accurate percentages and measurements. There's no need to flail around aimlessly when starting out mixing.
What are some flavors I should just hands down NOT get in your opinion?
im in the north east and the flavor ban is in effect. my only option is to make my own. i have a 60 ml bottle of 6mg naked 100 cuban tobacco and im using a novo 3. online it says you can mix premade juice and flavoring concentrate, im interested in making a cool mint flavor. i was reading the basics on here but im still confused on percents. if im mixing premade juice and flavoring do i still need percents or can i just put in as many drops as i need (i do remember reading that flavoring shouldn't be more than 10% of the juice) i will be using oooflavors menthol and capella spearmint.

so i kinda read through this thread and i still dont get it
got a 50/50 10ml nicotine base 3ml nicotine 10x
flavour 20ml i need it to be like 20% its probably PG idk
so what the heck do i do how to mix this im new to this diy ejuice thing. and em i missing something? cuz the math just doesnt add up i must be missing something...
Well first things first, you can't make 3mg with a 3mg base. Anything you add to it will dilute it.
Secondly you probably need VG and PG in addition to your nic base and flavoring.
Aside from that, take a moment and read the sidebar, or check out https://diyejuice.org/ and the Getting Started Guide , Premixed base information, and Mixing by weight
The closest you can get to 3mg with that nic base would be using only the nic base and flavoring. But that would put you at ~60PG if you mix 20% flavoring, since your base is 50/50. E.g. take 80mls of the nic base(50/50), and 20mls of flavoring(100PG). To get 100mls of 2.4mg, 60PG 40VG liquid.
Or if you wanted to use all of the shots, 100mls of nic base and 25mls of flavoring.
ok so i think i did it:
PG 13ml VG 25ml Nic 10ml Flavour 12ml
does this make sense? also changed it up to 18ml Nic bottle
edit:
so can i just do 30/50 80ml Nic(18ml) base and 20ml flavour? so that would be 50/50 but 18ml Nic right?
I don't have enough information to really know if it makes sense.
Adding that much VG will lower the nic even more. So that's probably like under 1mg, if you are starting with only a 3mg base.
Check out this calc, it should help you figure it out. https://en.liqcalc.com/baseBaseFlavor
Enter one "nicotine base" as 100 VG, 0mg, and the other as whatever your 18mg/ml nic shot is ( PG/VG wise ), put 20% flavor, and it will tell you what ratio you will end up at.
Have you read mixing math for dummies? You need to use a mixing calculator like all the flavors. It will do the calculating for you.
Edit. Yes flavourings are PG but the calc will take that into account.
yeah i did that and i got -500drops of vg or something like that so i must be missing something
Thinking about making a simple, sweet vanilla creamy custard, not extremely sweet, an adv only using CAP Vanilla Custard, TPA Sweet Cream and FA Meringue. At what % should I mix them?
Yeah, woah be careful with that damn sweet cream...I've ruined several recipes with it! It's strong and gives a kinda nasty "off" sour milk taste to any recipe. I use a ton of FA's "Fresh Cream" in my dairy mixes instead of sweet- it has a much more clean, subtle fresh milk taste and pairs great with fruits and other creams/vanillas. I also use FA "Marshmallow" quite a bit (in an Orange Creamsicle recipe,), and a little Bavarian Cream in a Dragons Blood clone. FA makes a "vanilla swirl" that's really good too.
I don't know that those three will necessarily give you anything that would be great, but if you want to mix them,
CAP Vanilla Custard 5
TPA Sweet Cream 0.5
FA Meringue 0.5
What others would you recommend? Why wouldn't they be great? I also have the ny Cheesecake, super sweet and sugar cookie by cap but idk if they'd help for what i want.
- CAP Vanilla Custard 6%
- CAP NY Cheesecake 4%
- FA Meringue 0.5%
There are a lot of good vanilla custard recipes out there, so no way I'd say this is ADV worthy, but hey, if you want to cripple yourself, this may be about as close as you can get. Even if you consider some French Vanilla's in your next order, you could do better.
I got a bottle of tfa toasted almond with my last order. It smells amazing, any good tips on flavour pairings? Im totally new to mixing eliquid.
Flavor pairings (two images, scroll down)
hey guys!
so i recently got into DIY and learned that if my mix were not so good it probably was because i put too much flavor in it, having verified that i did put 10% instead of 5.
So my question is, can i just add base liquid to the mix so that the amount of flavor lowers to or do i have to throw the mix and make a new one?
You can salvage it. I would only alter 10ml at a time as a tester first. If you get the results you were expecting then do the same to the rest. How much did you mix?
oh thank you ! i did a 50ml mix with 10% ! would maybe go down to 5%
Is there something wrong in providing links from ATF?
I've seen several times on the Internet that you don't need to steep single flavor juice.
Is it true?
If not, then how long should I steep?
