Bulk vs Bottles
submitted over 3 years ago by Nearby_Ad_7159

Hey guys! I’ve been getting pretty decent at making my own vape juice so my friends have asked for me to make them some too- it saves us all some money and we get the exact flavouring we want. What I was wondering is, would I be able to make a big batch? So I wouldn’t have to make multiple 30mL bottles every time. For example 250ml of 1 specific flavouring, or does that have any downsides? Thanks!

A benefit to doing it in bulk assuming your recipes are solid (no flavor fade and all that) is consistency. If say you're measuring by weight and you're mixing 30ml at a time, have a flavoring off by .04g over the course of a 240ml batch that flavor is off by .32g. However if you're off by .04g over one 240ml batch, it's hardly noticeable. And multiple 30ml poured from one mixed 240ml will be (or should be) more consistent bottle to bottle.

I make a months worth (500 ml) of my adv all the time. Saves me time and money. I also sell bulk sizes to ppl but always suggest no more than a month or two supply. That said there are some concentrates that don’t age well due to fading; many citruses are famous for this and others that just do better as snv (Sweet rice I’m glaring at you). So know your mixes and how they age I guess.

More cost savings.

I'm a dinosaur and vape the same juice almost all the time. With my recipe, I found I could buy all the ingredients for a 3 liter batch, mix all the flavors into a one-shot and then mix a 500ml bottle at a time (that 500ml is my juice for the month). Doing this, I got a seven flavor recipe down to 5 cents a ml.

Flavors pre-mixed in a mason jar don't go bad. I keep everything in a closet (cool, dark place) and have never had an issue of bad juice.

32 Oz. (Ounce) Large Clear Squeeze Bottle

These bottles hold a liter. You can mix 250ml in them if you like

Hi. You could also go the route of making a oneshot. Then all you need to do is to add X% to your base and let it steep. The problem with bulk DIY eliquid that I see is flavor fading, which is a bummer. And nicotine oxidizing. I mean, you said you‘re making 30 ml bottles, I wouldn’t consider 120 ml bottles bulk. I just wouldn’t make more than I use in a month. Good luck.

I make concentrate (flavoring) of my most common recipes. Then I add PG/VG/Nic when I want a bottle to vape
