Hey - I placed my first order with them 2 weeks ago.. They didn't give a tracking # - I'm in Florida. Is it normal for it to take this long? When I first heard about them on another forum they told me it only takes a week even from the UK.. That sounded a little fast being that it's overseas.. Anyone else can share their experience?

Thanks!
I'm in North Carolina and it took about a week and a half to arrive the last time I ordered from Chef's. Keep in mind that there are a lot of shipping delays right now due to the holidays. I'd reach out to them if it doesn't arrive within the next few days.
Hi. It was Black Friday, they were running a sale and now X-Mas rush has started. Be a little bit patient. They are just as quick as BCF when it comes to shipping (under normal circumstances). What usually takes longest is customs clearance since Brexit. Happy holidays!
I’m in Ontario canada. It takes anywhere from 1-2 wks in my experiences over the years. They have two shipping types. Cheaper has no tracking. More expensive has tracking and is usually a week. I will pay the pricier shipping on small orders I need right away. I like having tracking but it can get expensive when I’m doing huge orders so I’ll plan ahead and go for the cheaper ship.
Same here, Ontario. A week to 10 days. There's also nomnomz, I've done 2 orders. Even with the outrageous exchange rate, cheaper than here. My last Black Friday order was delivered in 6 days.
I haven’t tried nomnomz. They have as good a selection as chefs?
Right? The exchange rate is asinine…. But idk why suppliers in canada are so expensive, it’s like double or more than US or UK (and then tax too lol eesh). I used to order primarily from BCF until their shipping rates went through the roof and stopped having any consistency. Now it’s like you pay almost the same in shipping as you do your order. I haven’t found other US vendors to be affected as much there but they just don’t have the selection. Plus you get duty if it’s large order. I’ve never once in 5 yrs paid duty from UK even on 3-400$ orders. So that’s a bonus. Ordering from UK is the way to go for sure for Canadians.
Well not the Chef's own concentrates, but pretty much a great selection. I must say however, both my last Chefs order AND nomnomz each had one slightly leaky bottle, and they both just willy nilly throw everything in a box with styrofoam noodles.
I also used to order from BCF. Prompt, fast, excellent customer service but they RAPE Canadians with that shipping. Once your order is above $25 USD before any discount, shipping jumps to ~$33 USD. Just stupid.
I won't talk about that C word or the one that sounds like doodie, cuz I haven't paid any from anywhere. What City are you in?
I've put in two orders with Chefs one pre covid another since covid. First one took about 2 weeks second one took about 30 days. I was getting a little nervous about second one so I contacted them and they told me covid was the cause for slower delivery. Chefs had a 30 buisness day lost package policy if I remember correctly. But mine showed up just before that. I live in Nebraska.
i placed an order Nov 26th and it arrived yesterday. Im in nyc close to where it comes in from the UK. I've gotten their packages in 5 days before. i'd tack on some time for shipping issues related to covid combined with holiday season and ineffective US postal service and just be happy when it arrives.
Curious, what did you order from Chefs?
Curious also to what edible recommends from chefs...lol?
That ain't on bcf or the likes.
I got Hangsen Magic Mix.. BCF doesn't have it and the only other place in the states that has it is $22 vs Chef's $4.50.. I'm guessing its just because its a very rare ingredient.
