'What are you vaping?' Thread - Week of December 6, 2021
submitted almost 4 years ago by c5b4c91772c729fc7d0a

This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the Monthly Recipes Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread

Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.

If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.

Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping! We keep an archive of all the past threads in our wiki as well

Happy Vaping!

This has been my ADV for a while but I recently made a change to it and I think it got a lot better

3.5% CAP Sweet Mango, 2% INW Mango, 1% TFA Mango, 1% CAP Juicy Peach, 1% INW Cactus, 1% WS-23, 0.5% CAP Super Sweet

I'll give this a go. I love mangos as a fruit, but every mango mix I've ever made has a weird vomit-like taste. I'm starting to wonder if I just can't process whatever chemical they use as the dominant flavourant.

There's definitely some mango flavorings out there with a funky ass taste, like FA Mango. Sweet mango is more like deep sweetness of the mango fruit and INW mango adds the sort of sweet spice or whatever you get from the skin, I recently added the peach and it really brings all the other flavors in together to make it taste like one flavor I think (usually I could taste the individual mango flavors very profoundly, now it's blended better but still taste individual notes)

A simple watermelon lemonade while waiting for a bottle of Lemon Sicily to arrive...15mg FB, 70/30, MTL, 15 watts:

Co. | Flavour | % ---|---|---- LA | Lemonade | 6 FLV | Watermelon | 2 FLV | Wild Melon | 1 CAP | Super Sweet | 1

It's a shake & vape mix, but still tastes better after 24 hours. I'm dealing with congestion which is affecting my sense of taste, otherwise I'd normally use 0.5 to 0.75 SS with this one.

Also trying out some bakery flavours, which I usually avoid. Using a simple cookies & cream recipe and it's not too shabby after day two.

Tastes great but I would like a stronger lemon flavor. I'm pretty new to DIY so I would appreciate any suggestions

I struggle with that too and I'm starting to think I have to lower my expectations. Some flavours just don't come through as a vapour. Adding sweetener does enhance the genuine lemonade flavour, but obviously more on the sweet side of the profile. Otherwise I find that most lemon flavours just add a dryness after a certain percentage (or go completely weird).

I prefer fruit mixes that have a *zing* to them or a really bright finish, and I've gotten some of that by adding FLV Raspberry to my lemonades (usually around 1%). I still feel like I'm missing a key ingredient which adds a very bright finish to some commercial ejuices. I do have some blue raspberry flavours and malic acid on the way and I look forward to testing them out.

I know what you mean by missing a key ingredient. I'm wondering if it's the flavors or the sweeteners? Before I started DIY, my adv was Juicehead Blueberry Lemon, and while I can't stand it anymore (too sweet), I would love to mix a juice with a similar lemon flavor. A few people suggested INW Lemon Mix and FE lemon, but I couldn't find them on Bull City's website. Ended up going with Lemon Concentrate-INW and LA-Lemonade. Good luck with your sour blue raspberry recipe!

> A few people suggested INW Lemon Mix

I've seen it mentioned as well, but I stumbled onto a post here that said it was discontinued sometime back in late 2020.

Edit: u/JTwoD2, here's the post. If I have any luck with some zingy blue raz mixes, I'll definitely share.

Maybe try FE lemon? It's a pretty bright lemon for me.

Sicily is a fader. Try CNV Lemon, if you can’t get that then JF Lemon Juicy

I only make 10ml at a time and vape it within a week. Is that enough time for the Sicily to fade?

Most would say it starts fading in days. Try Puckenade(Lemonade Base), read the notes. And try CNV Lemon.

Yea I know I just got pur simply cake was going to try that read somewhere that that was a good replacement. Wasn't to worried about using yellow cake to be honest with you. Smoked a pack and half of cigarettes for 27 years still figured a little yellow cake wasn't nearly as bad for me. Thanks for the heads up though.

Yeah, I think simply cake is yellow cake without the yellow. Whatever that means.

I’ve been playing with FLV Chai Spice at .75% and TFA Green tea at .75%, with 1% FLV Milk & Honey plus various other creams to get a chai tea that I’m happy with. Work in progress, but each iteration has been alright. Was motivated by a comment a couple of weeks ago by someone who made a chai tobacco…that and the BCF Black Friday sale.
