Tastes great just missing the spice. Any suggestions?

what spice would you be looking for? Most cherry compote or cherry "sauce" recipes call for citrus, presumably to brighten up the cherries. maybe a very small amount of FE lemon would help, or if you're the type to add either clove or cinnamon to your cherry topping, FLV's offerings are probably the ones I'd choose in either case.
Yeah its good as but was thinkin some cinnamon or something. May try the lemon though, seems like it would only make it better.
FLV rich cinn at like 0.1% would probably be the way I'd go.
Maybe CAP cinnamon Danish swirl but really only if I didn't have rich cinnamon on hand.
I'd say an ideal would be a hint of clove or ginger, as you'd often have a pinch of allspice in a pie filling. You could go a little sideways, like a tobacco with a some brightness and spice. A hint of arabian, or 7 leaves ultimate might give you the darker and brighter notes, or cavendish or some brown sugar.
FLV Eggnog or 0.75% CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl.
I also just picked up FA Black Pepper but haven't tried it yet. Is pepper a spice?
Would cinnamon red hots flavor go well with black cherry?
