I went to eliquidrecipes.com but the recipes with a lot of ratings all have too many flavors, it confuses me since i'm completely new at this. The simple ones don't have any reviews, makes me wonder whether they're good or not.
I'm looking for a strong mango flavor, mildly sweet and icy. I found this online:
CAP sweet mango 20%, TFA sweetener 1%, koolada 1%.
Should i buy CAP sweet mango or TFA mango to get the flavor i want? Actually, just post your favorite mango recipes here, please. Thanks in advance.
The All the Flavors average for CAP Sweet Mango is 3%, so 20% is... like 6.6 times too much. Pants on head levels of crazy.
Try this search on All The Flavors. It should give you well-reviewed recipes with Mango in the name.
For example, give 1-2-3 Mango Sprite a shot. You can add 0.25-1% WS-23 to pretty much any "soda" recipe to add the cooling you're looking for.
See? It's a good thing i asked lol. Thank you.
Cheers - search here to find the average percentage for a given flavor - it's rarely off base unless there are only a handful of recipes using that flavor.
Oh no no. Do not make that recipe. No flavor should be used as high as 20%.
When you make recipes, they typically require multiple flavors. It's why we use single flavors and not one shots. While there are exceptions, most flavors don't really satisfy on their own.

This is the site you should be looking on. In the future, please post things like this to this thread:

Okay, thank you!
Something else to consider when looking up recipes- the year the recipe was created. Pre-2015 or so, sub-ohm vaping didn't exist, so recipes needed a higher flavoring percentage to account for the lower wattages. (General rule here is- lower wattage = higher flavoring percentage. Higher wattage = lower flavoring percentage). This still applies to this day, with MTL/Pod recipes having higher flavor percentages than a standard (sub-ohm) recipe.
That said, even in a recipe made for a 10W device, 20% of CAP Sweet Mango is borderline criminal.
What, really? My device is a pod. :( i already ordered 3 flavors. The recipe seems like it's for mods. Can you alter this recipe for me?
TPA peach (juicy) 3.5% CAP super sweet 0.75% CAP sweet guava 2.5% CAP sweet mango 5% VG 60%
Should i up all the flavors? My device is caliburn A2, 15W, 0.9ohm
I don't make recipes for pods, but here is an interesting link all about it.
Coincidentally, that link has a mango recipe on it that calls for CAP Sweet Mango....the stars are aligning
Also, i wanna add koolada to it. Would that ruin the recipe?
Should be fine, koolada doesn't really have a taste, it just adds coldness
My ADV is 4% CAP Sweet Mango, 2% INW Mango, 3% TFA Mango, 1% WS-23, 0.5% CAP Super Sweet and 1% INW Cactus. I ran out of TFA Mango so I replaced that with VT Mango Juice, it's not quite the same but still solid.
I keep seeing recipes with multiple flavors of the same type of flavor. Why?
It's different types of the flavor/different spots of the fruit. CAP gives me the full sweetness of the inside of a mango, INW gives me a deep skin flavor, TFA just adds a different fleshy flavor that goes well with the others. I have one that tastes like an unripe mango too, don't use that one much lol.
Also, what does ADV stand for? I keep seeing it but i don't get it. Advice?
Definitely buy some cap sweet mango. It’s great. I also recommend adding flv mango to the order. It’s a banging mango enhancer for the cap sweet mango.
If you’re looking for a simple place to start with a mango (bearing in mind that you can’t get the new FLV ones), FE mango is pretty banging straight up mango at 4%. Maybe go higher if you’re on a pod. I’m on a DTL at high wattage. Just don’t make a ton, it really fades as it steeps.
You can add any cooling to that, I’d suggest ws23 over koolada cuz it’s just cold. No menthol taste.
Alternatively, you could try REK (wrecka) sparking mango. Its lighter but has cooling already. It’s very sweet. So try without sweetener first.
So you reccomend the FE mango even if i don't mix it with anything else?
I’m vaping it right now. It’s good on it’s own and would be the perfect mango if it didn’t fade so bad. (They talk about this in the noted mango episode). Of course you can mix and blend, I was just trying to suggest something easy for you since you’re just starting. The new mango trinity contains concentrates you can’t obtain. The old one, was FLV mango, VT shisha mango and WF island mango. trinities
Bad news. I can't find any flavorings from FE in my country.
You can get started by watched Noted Mango episode. Then decide which mangos interest you and find recipes on alltheflavors and buy the ingredients needed to mix them. It's a great starting point in your mixing journey.
It'll work just fine, especially since you aren't gonna be using anything near the 40w top end of the chip.
Battery life will be kinda sad if you try to push past 20-25w, but low wattage MTL will last plenty
First of all 20% sweet mango ( Cap ) is too much , I will give you a very good recipe and you will like it. Indian mango (FA) 4% Mandarin ( FA) 0.5% Royale orange(FA) 1% Juicy orange (Cap) 0.5% This is mango recipe , if you want it ice mango add 1% WS
I found the "Mamas Mellon's" clone and substitute the high volume Mellon for a mango flavor. Steeped for a week and.... Hooooooollyyyyy mother of delicious 😋 ya gotta try it. I also use WS-23 in mine too at a 3% ratio.
Can you give us a link for that recipe?
