I love apple, green apple, grape and watermelon. I’m looking at bull city flavors and was just wondering how good these are? I’m a big fan of Reds Apple and The Hype. If anyone has any reviews on some of their flavors that’d be great
The FDA isn't regulating flavors.
The FDA is regulating juice and vaping hardware.
The flavors we use for DIY are used for food manufacturing and at the moment are not under the FDA's microscope.
Read the sidebar and use the search function. There are weekly discussions on selected flavors. 100's of flavors have been covered.
Regardless, FDA is going to try to be cunts and make it too difficult to buy juice in the future. I’d rather just make my own so I don’t have to worry. My biggest issue so far is finding a half way decent price on nicotine lol
I understand that now but the way you titled your thread gives the impression that the flavorings we use for DIY is what's being regulated. Juice is what's being regulated, not DIY flavorings. You're in the DIY sub so when you say "flavors" we assume flavorings for juice making, not juice.
You are very, very late to the nicotine boat I'm afraid. Prices have climbed dramatically since last December.
First, stock up on coils and hardware.
Next, to begin, you will want to stock up on nicotine. Only a couple of the listed vendors in the US still will ship nicotine. NG is my preferred vendor. I'd get at least a liter of 100ml, more if you can swing for it. That should last most people a very long time.
After that, get PG, VG, and the bottles. Hardware, nic, bases, and bottles are likely to be the hardest to get once the FDA starts cracking down. You can technically get most of those except hardware for research purposes, but it won't be as accessible. Especially so for nicotine.
Finally, you can get flavors. Flavors will be the easiest thing to get overall. Most flavors can be bought through cooking supply stores, online, or from the manufacturer. Only a handful actually ever intended their flavors to be used for vaping in the first place.
Read the side bar, yada yada...
Do you have nicotine? VG? PG?
To start out, I recommend going to alltheflavors.com and finding recipes that sound good, asking around here (or the Discord) for confirmation, and then ordering flavors for those specific recipes. Individual flavors can be fine, but usually juice is much better with multiple flavors.
Also, FA Fuji is good stuff.
Awesome, that should be helpful. I haven’t bought any nicotine, pg or vg. Would it be more beneficial to buy nicotine by itself or already mixed with PG/VG?
Nicotine by itself, and buy as much as you can possibly afford! It's getting more and more difficult to source. Store it in the freezer in medium sized glass bottles with poly caps. Plenty of resources in the side bar, including a vendor list.
Check out this Strawberry, Apple, Watermelon recipe and all of its many variations. Funny name... great juice by the amazing u/ID-10t

You, my friend, sound like you benefit from going to alltheflavors website and looking up the recipe called Water-Malone. You will love it. It is 4 parts Apple, 3 parts Watermelon, 2 parts Dragonfruit and 1 part wild melon. I mix it at 50:50 vg:pg and 1.5 percent nicotene. Delicious.
That sounds really good. Although I’m not looking for a lot of different flavors. Ideally I just want a good stand alone apple and watermelon and a sour variant which I was able to find on bull city. I just don’t know how good they are taste wise. Also, with flavors are they already sweet or do I need to get sweetener?
Sour, at least in vape, doesn't really work. That includes TFA Sour and other sour additives.
You should get WF Sour Ball Candy and FLV Sour Apple. Those can give a decent "sour" note.
As for sweetener, if you have been using commercial liquid you will likely want at least some sweetener to start, as most commercial liquid is loaded with the stuff.
I'd recommend getting FW Sweetener ( just sucralose and PG ) or Cap Super Sweet ( Sucralose, Water, Citric Acid, a preservative, and PG ).
You'd actually want one shots then. Most single flavors are not good on their own. It requires combining flavors to achieve a full profile.
Good luck.
Getting what we need to DIY is extremely difficult now in the US.
