Have you tried reaching out to the vendor to get the issue resolved?

It could have just been a bad batch.

Yeah I'd reach out to them. I bought a 24 pack case and didn't notice any issues.

No not yet. The problem seems to be limited to the 8oz bottles. I actually purchased 2 cases of 12 a few weeks apart and both have the same issue.

Purchased on Amazon, came in the GBO labeled box, so I doubt they are fake. I see a handful of reviewers complained about similar problems with the caps (not fitting properly, leaking, shedding). A few suggest that maybe they changed suppliers because this wasn't a problem in the past.

That's the only place I've ever ordered bottles from. Never had an issue. I would reach out to them

Did you order directly from GBO or through amazon?

Both actually. The first few direct but Amazon every time after.

They get 95% 4-5 star reviews on Amazon so I'm sure this is some kind of isolated thing. But it's a pretty serious issue. I see one review from 2021 describing my same exact issue, several others describing other issues with the caps.

I only discovered this like 12 hours ago and I've yet to check all the bottles I filled with base a few months back. Sort of a nightmare if I'm honest.

Definitely need to try to contact them but getting a refund is a low priority right now.
