Please help me pick flavors to purchase.
submitted about 4 years ago by MyAnimeAccount420

So with regulations coming I am purchasing nicotine and pg/vg, but there are so many flavors I don't know where to start. I've always been a fan of strawberry custard/cheeesecake types with Cuttwood Unicorn Milk and Beard No. 5 being my favorite. As well as Lenola cream and Pachamama apple strawberry and Reds apple. With those as a base what flavors should I purchase to make clones or similar recipes. I was going to order off of vape mall because the cheap nicotine but I will go to other sites for other flavors if need be.

Thank you for the help choosing some flavors!

Pick out some highly rates recipes from https://alltheflavors.com & https://e-liquid-recipes.com/

Should be plenty that fit the profile you're after. Once you've picked a few out, buy the flavors you need to make them. It's the best way to start.

My biggest advice is buy all of the different sweeteners in a 30ml bottle and the 4oz version of cap vanilla custard, TFA vanilla bean ice cream and TFA vanilla swirl. ALOT and I mean ALOT of my stuff I make seems to use that. Some of the strawberry and strawberry ripe by TFA would be good for you to pickup as well if you like the strawberry stuff. And all of the sweeteners are a bit different. Also, what new regulations are you speaking of?

Personally I order from bullcityflavors for my flavorings. Be prepared to spend about 200 dollars. You’ll be set for a long while. Get mostly 30ml of stuff and keep an eye on your flavorings. What you tend to be running out of quickly it may be wise to order a bigger bottle next time.

That is pretty much against all conventional wisdom and all around terrible advice

Don’t buy flavors because they sound good, unless you enjoy throwing your money away. Read these

First Order" Flavors

First Order Flavors: A History. Volume 5. Volumes 1 thru 5

Go to https://alltheflavors.com/recipes and sort ‘by rating’, click search.

Go to ELR (link should be already sorted by rating)

And pick some recipes that look good to you and make a list of the flavors to make them. Beware ELR, some of the recipes are a bit old.

Again, post your cart on the DIY Discord #check-my-order-please channel to have it checked over before you buy

I would advise to only buy 10ml of flavors you haven't tried yet to find out if you even like like it. For example I could say buy 60ml of tfa vbic it's the best ice cream, the only 1 you'll ever need, there's 136,000 recipes on elr that use it. So you do buy 60mls, try it and everytime you use it you get a pepper taste, black pepper and not in a good way, aren't you happy you now have 59ml of something you'll never use, and you can't return for refund. There are flavors that are so strong a 10ml will last a lifetime and make multiple gallons of liguid. Buy small first, this won't be your last flavor order, and when you do come across a over hyped/off note city/etc. flavor you might just say "woah WTH I'm glad I only bought a 10ml of this"

Yep, great advice. Before you know what you like, 10 mil bottles are the way to go.

Only been mixing for a couple of months. I find a small group of recipes online and buy at bull city. Expanding my recipe list in the meantime. Good luck

Follow previously stated advice. You're not going to make a clone and get anywhere near it any time soon by just mixing random flavors at random percentages. There are 10 or 20 or 30 variants or more of every flavor you could imagine.

The only consistency you might get is INW Yes We Cheesecake as it's a popular additive for cheesecake recipes.

I think you need a few different Sweetener when you like the mentioned Liquids but be careful with the Dose.
