Looking for a straight cinnamon flavor for my coffee
submitted over 4 years ago by jphx

I love cinnamon in my coffee but am seriously tired of the sludge at the bottom of my cup. I thought why not try a flavoring. I never create my own juice mixes and am flat out terrible at picking out all the different nuances of flavor everyone else can.

I'm just looking for something that I can put in my coffee that will taste as close to the cinnamon that lives in my spice cabinet. Not looking to go crazy. I am getting together a list of stuff I need to order anyway and figured maybe I could find something that would work.

The white girl in me is also asking if there is some kind of pre-made pumpkin spice as well. Im not looking to go crazy and start mixing stuff at 6 am. Just something that I can put a few drops in and go.

FLV Rich Cinnamon is precisely what you're looking for. The King of All Cinnamons. The GOAT. Wonderful natural, not candy or artificial cinnamon.

Don't let the price scare you, it's SUPER concentrated.

As far as Pumpkin Spice, Flavorah makes one of those too, as well as Hangsen, Capella, Flavor West and TPA. Can't speak for those, but FLV and CAP are probably safe bets.

Oh and while we're on the topic... Does anyone else have any flavor suggestions that they like adding to their coffee or beverages?

I have to brew some coffee now. That sounds like a delicious idea. How much do you put in your coffee?

I like to add some FA hazelnut to my coffee from time to time

I use it quite a bit and this can't be stressed enough. I actually dilute mine down to 10% strength so I don't end up trying to measure out ridiculously small amounts for juice.

Sweet, thanks! The pumpkin spice was kind of an afterthought as I was writing the post. I figured there would be more options for that one.

I'll have to try those pumpkin spices out.

I have the tfa and it's damn good.

I wonder what better ones would taste like...

Bruh dont put the cinnamon into the coffee. Sprinkle it on top of the grounds before you brew and the flavor will be extracted. You shouldn't end up with any sludge unless maybe you're using a press, but in that case you could use whole sticks and grind it roughly

I use coffee mate cinnamon vanilla creme. *Shrugs* I like to get the same no refrigeration needed pump concentrates they use in the gas stations but unfortunately those are only available in limited flavors. If they had it in cinnamon vanilla creme it would be sitting on the counter next to my french vanilla and hazelnut.

Too much sugar for me, I use WAY too much of that stuff in my coffee. I use liquid splenda in my coffee these days. Not as good as sugar but better than powdered splenda as far as taste.

That's why I use the concentrates. Higher flavor, less sweet.

Why not just buy a vanilla one and a cinnamon one?

Because they don't make the cinnamon concentrated pump bottles? The only ones I have seen are french vanilla, hazelnut, that nasty snickers, salted caramel, peppermint mocha, original, and pumpkin spice.

Monin definitely make a cinnamon one, that's the only brand worth buying IMHO :)
