Greetings Gremlin Fans Around The World!

It's my favorite day of the week to be sure! FREE FRIDAY!!! It's my favorite day because, well, first off IT'S FRIDAY! :) Secondly I get to make someone happy by giving them some free stuff. Eight 1oz bottles of Gremlin Goodies to be exact.

This week it was really easy to choose a winner because LAST week not only were there a lot of comments to pick from, but I was clued in to a Giveaway Picker tool on Reddit making the task incredibly simple on my end. AND your end! All you need to do is make a comment on this post and you are entered for next weeks winning chance.

So using this new (to me) prize picker, it pulled a name from its magical hat. And that name was (is)

u/gonholgz

You have 30 minutes to claim your prize!

Just kidding. Just let me know sometime this weekend or early next week. :) All you need to do on your end is make sure you have an account over at GremberryFarms.com and let me know in a private message who you are so I know where to send the box. I'll PM you to make sure we're all good.

And now for this weeks "Question of the Week"

"What is a great question I can ask this group about vaping that will make a fun, educational or interesting post for people to join in and answer?"

No, really, that is the question of the week. :) You see, I am hot and tired and have no imagination at the moment so I'm being incredibly lazy and turning it over to y'all to come up with a few questions for us to answer. There is no "right" question, maybe it's something YOU have been curious about yourself.

Next weeks winner will be randomly selected from the comments that you leave on this post. It doesn't even have to be a question, it can be as simple as a congrats to this weeks winner, just say something. :) At this time due to the nature of the selection, I do have to restrict the winner to the United States. Sending free stuff to someone is awesome, but I can't afford free stuff and free shipping to international addresses. (I'm so sorry, I know that sucks, but here we are.)

So, get your creative juices flowing and come up with a great question! Talk to y'all soon! ~ Rich

What is the story behind the oddly satisfying Breakfast Blend? Wasn't it called Brett's BB at one time?

I swear I taste Western in there. Which I gave away after SFT'ing. But whatever is in it I dig it. I keep remixing for both MTL and DTL setups. May be subliminal but it is a must with my morning coffee. Name checks out.

With most, if not all, juice makers in a precarious position these days, I hope GF continues to find a way to make it work. How are things for y'all currently?

My wife and I love this one, too! The room note on it is amazing as well, haha.

What do you remix it with? My wife likes a little RY4 Double added.

Something that you probably don't have, INW Waffle YC. It was discontinued a few years ago sadly. Had to be the single most concentrated of any flavor period. 1 drop in a 60 ml of BB at 8% and it is still dominant.

Besides that, a little DIYFS RY4 does play nicely. I plan on trying a little Vanilla next mix.

Yeah, I missed out on that one. I do have LB Belgian Waffle and was thinking of using that. I just saw a great review of the new Chef's SC Waffle stating it could be a suitable replacement for INW. That'll definite be included in my next UK order!

I can see where some RY4 would work well to bump up the tobacco flavor. I like when I know people are modifying the solos to work for them. DIY is awesome!

You are correct, it was named Brett's Breakfast Blend after Brett. I used to make a waffle flavored eliquid and it had options for banana, strawberry, maple, etc. Brett asked if I could make him something to vape with his morning coffee. So we came up with his signature Waffles with Vanilla and Tobacco. Flavors that just should never mix, but yet... (And no, I have never actually met Brett in real life.)

I CAN confirm that it is not western flavor. (I would have given it away too, no offence to those that like that flavor (and I know who you are bwahahaha)) It is in fact the most expensive to produce because of that tobacco flavor. I thought a few times about using a cheaper one, but then it wouldn't be the same.

Brett's is my all time favorite from you guys. Haven't had it in years. Might pick some up next order. Was really into it my first year or so of vaping before I started DIY. The blueberry version is good too but Brett's really takes it up a notch. One of my very first(like 3rd or 4th) DIY recipes was based on that profile but with French Pipe as the main tobacco note and an addition of apples. Dryad is a sleeper hit too IMO as is Imp Dust; a profile not done much back in those days. Maybe an unpopular opinion but well steeped vanilla overload > Gremlin Gold and I love custards(and GG is good in its own right) Used to get that and the chocolate overload to touch up other juices as well. Good times. Thanks for the memories, Rich.

Well, just about to sign another year on my lease for the shop, so y'all are stuck with me for at least that long. :) My goal is to do a LITTLE better and hire some people back! LOL

What are the cons of vaping nic that’s oxidized that dark tan color? I’ve got a buddy that swears it’s better that way but I feel I can smell it in every mix and will never try it.

Some people like the taste and/or the extra throat hit 🤷‍♂️

by V6A6P6Eover 4 years ago

The thing I don’t get about that is he went out of his way to get smooth hit salt nic, let it get that hot taste and mixes at a 3. Maybe it’s a want a harsh hit but not super harsh? He says anyone would love his setup. His percentages seem a bit 2015 though… maybe I’ll take him up on his offer and get a 100ml off him…

Aye, what Ayce said. Some people like that kind of thing. :) It just made me think that my wife loves heavy pepper on her food, while I don't like the flavor at all. I'm with you. No pepper! LOL

I guess I’m a little weary on it having negative repercussions. Obviously it will still vape as I see this dude with his fresh mixes looking like a forgotten bottle in the back of my stash that he huffs away on daily. Maybe I’m just paranoid? I’d assume at minimum throat irritation. I’m not really an expert at mixing as I’ve only done so for about three years consistently.

My question is:

What is (or was, in Rich's case) your preferred style of vaping and why? How would you label yourself as a vaper?

Personally, I'd label myself first and foremost as a DIY guy (as I'm sure most here will). I am absolutely loving this hobby. I really enjoy tinkering and optimizing, be it with mixes, mods or coils. I was on a tight MTL kick coming off the cigs 6 months ago, but find myself enjoying a looser MTL to RDL now and starting to flavor chase. I like to strive for perfection, even if I know I'll never consider anything I make actually "perfect." I'll settle for "Really Damned Good," though :)

I am not sure what type of vapor I am came off cigs 5 months ago. Just starting with the whole diy club juice and coils. Though I still prefer mtl over dl if I am going to do dl I prefer either rdl or no higher than 45 watts. Honestly I think I am still trying to figure it all out.

I've been casually vaping on and off since ecigs came on the market and I'm STILL trying to figure it all out! 😅

I finally kicked the stinkies for good almost 6 months ago.

Despite all the political junk and bans, it's still a great time to start vaping. The hardware advances made over the past decade are astounding.

How did you get started in the industry? I've heard of Gremberry Farms multiple times on this sub, and these Friday posts have inspired me to finally check it out. Also, what fruit flavor is your favorite? Will definitely add it to my first order!

July 22nd, 2012.

I spent years trying to quit smoking. Patches, pills, you name it, I tried it. Some things worked better than others, but in the end having "just one smoke" drug me right back in to my pack a day. Someone I worked with was telling me about these "vape things" and fate put me right next door to a vape shop downtown one day. I smoked the last one in my pack, already planning on picking up a new one on the way home. I put it out and I went in, and left with a vape and some chocolate and some strawberry. So on the way home I'm puffing on this chocolate thinking "I could grab a pack of smokes, or I can puff on this chocolate". I chose chocolate.
I remember the date because the one I put out walking in to that vape shop was the last one I ever smoked. :)

How I got started though, I very quickly got tired of buying juice online and found out how to make my own. I had more fun making different flavors than should be allowed. LOL I would sit at my desk and play with flavors on my breaks. I ended up with a bunch of bottles on my desk that needed a home when I saw someone on Reddit that was down on his luck, so I got his address and sent it all to him. Every Friday I found someone to send my extras to. A few months later people found out I was doing that and made it public and everyone shared in it. Thus Free Friday's was born. Each week the previous recipients would mention they loved the flavors and this made everyone else want some, but they couldn't have any. I wasn't making it to sell it, it was just me having fun. I was convinced by a lot of people telling me I needed to make these for sale so they could get some of what they've been hearing about for a couple months, so I created a business to sell it to them! All the "cool" names were taken, but I looked over at my laptop and saw a Gremlin image I was working on and thought "Gremlin Juice" and go figure, it was available. LOL So first there were Free Fridays, and THEN there was Gremlin Juice. (Then Gremlin DIY, then Gremberry Farms... The government closes one, I reopen another) and here we are! (What an incredibly condensed version of that story! I hope it made sense. LOL)

Wait, what was the question again? Never mind, I'm gunna go grab another beer.

Thanks for the reply! That's almost exactly how I quit smoking too. Had heard about vaping months before but thought it was just a fad, so never seriously considered it. Then happened upon a vape shop one day while out running errands lol. Keep up the great work man, and can't wait to make my first order!

What's your favorite rda/coil combo for DIY and why?

Why is it recommended to not use sub-ohm with nicotine salts? I think I get the generic "too strong" answer, but would love to hear more thoughts on this.

Currently vaping 24 smooth nic salt diy juice at 0.6 ohms with success.

I'm vaping 3.5 smooth nic salts in a Free Max M Pro tank as I read this. It doesn't seem too strong to me.

What finally got you to pull the trigger on DIY and when did you do it?

Heel everyone, Just a couple of quick questions. 1) If given the opportunity to diy any brand/flavor of e-liquid, or rather 3 different ones, what would they be? 2) Rich and the gremlins have some amazing 1 shot creations, if they were to concoct a new, exotic blend reminiscent of say, a trip to the orient, how likely would you be to try it, on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being not at all, and 10 being an absolutely must? Thanks Rich, for all you and the gremlins do, Good Luck all!

What will be the next level in DIY? Today’s focus is still on recreating a very authentic reproduction of real food or drinks. Will we see a more impressionist trend in the future in combing new flavor stories and flavor pictures?
