I have:
1L of 70VG/30PG base 60mL of Nicotine PG (60mg/mL) - also has VG, dont know the ratios. 50mL of chai flavoring - it has VG and PG, I dont know the ratios.
I want 100mL full flavor at 2mg/nic. 70VG/30PG.
All the caluclators I have been using havent been able to work well for the amounts. I am at a loss because the flavoring and nic have VG and PG in them. Should I just be going by the mL as opposed to knowing the ratio?
Can someone tell me how much base, nic and flavoring to use for a 100mL bottle?
If you want my opinion, don't make 100 ml for your first mix. Which vendor is your flavouring from? Everyone deals with grams you'll most likely need a scale.
I was going to make smaller batches by dividing the amounts. I do have a scale 0.001-60g.
I did make my first batches 25mL and used the ejuice master DIY app.
I am curious however, because I gave pre mix base st 70/30. The caluclator doesnt give me the option. I just added the two VG and PG together and used that in grams instead. This should work, no?

This site works well for me. It lets you put the VG/PG ratio of the Nicotine base you use.
It then shows you the amounts in ml and grams, so you can use either.
You’re in canada i assume. (Me too!). Max you can get here is 65mg nic. (Dash vapes. Great and free shipping over 35$ which is unheard of here) Tho some suppliers sell only 60. Like diy ejuice. If you have nic that has both vg and pg. it’ll be 50/50. I don’t know of any places that have anything different from all pg, all vg or 50/50.
In future, I’d suggest buying plain VG and plain PG. not a premixed base. It’s just easier.
If you use ATF, after clicking mix; you can check the box at the top that says “use premix” and put your 70/30 base in there but this assumes that your nic is already added to the base. If you do that; make your base with 2mg/ml, the finished batch will be less that 2mg because of the flavouring that’s added. And to predict how much, would be impossible since the amount of flavouring changes all the time.
So what I’d suggest here is just to wing it a little. Click the box that says max vg. And just add that much of your base. That way you at least get an accurate amt of nic which is more important than having an exact amt of vg/pg. if you’re mixing by measure, it’ll be the same. If by weight (def suggested) it’ll be a tad more since vg weighs more than pg. (nic amount for 100 ml finished product btw is 3.8 grams or 3.33 ml if you’re using 60mg 50/50 vg/pg nic. Which makes 1.99.8 mg)
No flavours have vg except some real flavours far as I know. What brand is the chai? Best bet is to look on the website you got it and see what their mixing percentage is.
Lastly, mix a 10 ml sample first. Not 100.
Flavors are mostly PG. Don't worry about being so precise with their contents. Assume mostly PG.
Put some flavors in first. (For 100ml total, anywhere from 1ml to 8ml of each flavor, [2-3 flavors tops or like 15-20ml of flavors total] depending on how strong they are. There are recipes you can follow for a feel of how strong your flavor in question is.).
Then put ~3.4ml of your nicotine base. (3.4×60≈204mg. 204mg/100ml will end up making it a ~2mg/ml strength.)
Then fill almost the rest of the way with VG, saving about 20% or so for some PG. (Since your flavors are mostly PG, you can guesstimate that there is already about 10ml or so PG)
Mixing juice is more like cooking food. It doesn't have to be perfect. You're overthinking it. ;)
Like others are saying, try making some 0 nics first -- and save about 4ml of room for your nicotine if you get it right (or a little stronger, since you'll add nic).
I imagine Chai Tea could go anywhere from 6-10mls for that 100ml bottle. Unless it's crazy strong. Try going for 5ml (5%, in your case) and see how that rips.
Best of luck and feel free to message me if you need any help :p
The VG/PG Ratio in the flavor is insignificant. If you want more of a throat hit you increase the PG. With the amount of flavor you are using in a batch it has a very small effect on the overall VG/PG Ratio.
Since you are using premixed I would recommend taking 4 or 5 10ml bottles and mix your flavor in at different percentages in each bottle. Mark each bottle and let them steep for a few days. Then Come back and sample the bottles one a at time. Keep in mind that when you change flavor in your tank that it takes a little time to get to full flavor. Your cotton is already saturated with the other flavor. Start with the lowest strength and work you way up. Vape 1 tank at each strength. Then decide from there.
If it tastes soapy or like chemicals. A good rule of thumb is to lower your flavor ratio. Most concentrate manufactures have mix ratio range. That is usually a good place to start.
When creating a multi flavor mix. You basically do the same thing for each flavor. This gives you a flavor profile to build on.
You can find some pretty good apps for your phone for e-juice calculators. Also there are a few for your PC. I use one called ejuicemeup on my pc that works fairly well.
It's not crazy hard math tbh...
End result is a 100ml bottle, you want 2mg/ml, so you want to put 200mg in your 100ml of mix.
If you have 60mg/ml, and you need to add 200mg, you want to add 3.3ml.
Just take the final volume, calculate the total mg, then calculate the volume of nic base you need to get that total mg in there...
To solve a lot of potential nicotine percentage problems always buy 100ml … I realize that doesn’t help you now with a liter of 60ml in your stash. Maybe you’ve used this, but in case you haven’t, this link might help your situation greatly. e liquid recipes
