I downloaded the Ejuice calc from the sidebar and it doesn't open for me.
Message says 'an exception was thrown and a file capturing some information was created. please send the file located at C:\Users\stopw\AppData\Local\Temp\\JuiceCalculatorCrash-06132021_011235.txt to JuiceCalculator@Austin.rr.com'
It's the one with the beakers logo. I used to have this one and it was awesome. Does anyone know if it's still useable, or is it just me being a boomer? What should I do?
What is in the JuiceCalculatorCrash-06132021_011235.txt
file?
If I had to guess you are probably just missing a .NET runtime or something similar.
You could also try the "Portable" version, might have better luck with it.
Shit- I tried both portable and not portable. I just did it like a regular download- hit the 'yes' boxes when they popped up. Obviously I have no idea what a .NET runtime is or how to fix this, but I appreciate your efforts!
Is this download not compatible with PC?
.NET is a framework made by Microsoft that is often required by applications to run properly. They generally will say which one you need in the information.
The readme for that calc isn't great but it looks like .NET 4.0 is what they use. I'd check to see if you have that, you can download it at https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/net40
If it's already installed it will say as much when you try to install it.
liquid calculator on the app store
the program still works great - been using it since I started mixing (7 years now?)
Anyway, can you post the txt file here so we can see what happened?
I wouldn't know where to find the txt file.
I was checking with the community just to see if the website was defunct or something but I think it's a prob with my computer or the idiot that operates it.
I had used it for several years & loved it too, but I've gone through 2 computers since. Can't get programs on discs anymore so every time computer quits, gotta get it all over again.
Try using a back up drive or an online based cloud backup; for future. (Not like I go through devices much more than once every 7-8 yrs lol ❤️my macs) but cloud based backups sure make my life easier when I do. I keep an external hard drive back up as well. Just in case.
What OS are you using?
windows 10, 64 bit
Maybe just try using ATF? it’s web based and very straight forward... you can use it wherever.
I'll look at ATF, then. I have e-juice me up but I find it cumbersome to use.
Never have saved anything to Cloud- I guess it's time for granny to learn a new skill.
THX for the suggestion.
No problem. :)
ATF is what I’ve been using for years. Has enough options to be effective for both personal and professional mixing without being too complicated. Hopefully it makes your life easier!
