The Right Menthol Juice for Me?
submitted over 4 years ago by Famous_Choice_5668

I got spoiled by Vape Wild and bought their Ice Cold Menthol. After trying that I just stayed with it - it was perfect by itself or with mixing. I asked on the regular Vaping thread about Menthol Flavors to try. I tried SubZero and others and they all taste like cough syrup to me. I want Menthol with every juice I vape (mixing it with fruits or slushie flavors is my favorite) or just by itself with Ice Cold. Ice Cold was described as an Icy mix of Menthol, Wintergreen and Spearment.

I'm begining to wonder do I really want Menthol or an Ice Juice? Or a Mint/Ice Juice. I've got some bottles left in the fridge of Ice Cold but dread the day I run out. LOL

Any suggestions I sure would appreciate...

I am also a menthol only vaper. Recently someone suggested Lyf Citrus Ice, I ordered someone and really like it.. I also like Heisenburg whatamelon and the blue one, just can't think of the name right now. It's a blue raz slushy. I also mix my own, maybe try that.

Have bought some Heisenburg and it was kind of weak or muted to me. I bet I'd like it with an ice additive. Thanks for the advice!

Because I don't do a lot of different flavors Idk if it's muted. Had it in a falcon tank and presently use a voopoo tank with the pnp coils. And I only vape around 28 watts.

I'd try and work out which you do want. Get a menthol and some WS-23 and find a plain fruit mix and mix up 10 ml of menthol and WS-23. It could well be a mix between the two. Use recommended amounts of WS-23, it can be COLD fast if you up it too much.

Then if you know which it is you do prefer, just get the additives themselves and you could add to whatever vape juice you buy.

Bear in mind that the mentholy mintiness you get from that seems to be the combo between minty wintergreen with light essence of spearmint, so that could be the minty breath you're looking for - to confuse matters :D

In regards to menthol. I was never a fan, but then started with a couple that i never liked. But I was desperate for a menthol additive, and not wait a few days postage on just one DIY ingredient, so I was recommended to use menthol crystals. I only do menthol crystals now as its what I was looking for, pure, and plain. So now I make my own menthol from menthol crystals I get for free (UK) at the local pharmacy. https://www.driphacks.com/menthol-crystals/?v=79cba1185463

Wow thanks so much for the advice. I'm going to write all of this down. I don't mind cold at all, but do mind a strong medicine taste. I bought some Menthol Crystals even though the owner said I really didn't have to - that I could mix them with pg and vg easily. I can't remember. I went to his site he's Closed!!!!!!!! I always enjoyed talking to him - I hate that I didn't get to call him and say Goodbye. My Freedom Smokes is the place.

I'm leaning toward a weak Menthol base and adding the Spearmint and Wintergreen like you said. Now that sounds gooooooooooooood. :-)

Oh and I have no idea what WS-23 is and can you tell me where to get it? LOL

So WS-23, also known as Koolada is the cooling additive used to give the blast of coolness/iceness. Koolada tends to be the weaker form of it.

I see you asked about Inawera as well. That's a manufacturer who sells concentrates for DIY to make your own juices. So what you can do is google Inawera Flavors and you'll come up with their website. But you can order off a few DIY websites. I don't know where you're based, I'm UK, so you could just search for eucalyptus menthol Inawera Flavors and see what comes back to get.

Note that they wont be vapable out of the bottle, you'll need to add PG and VG. You should also be able to get some WS-23/Koolada off which ever website you end up at as well, if you want to play with some of that.

Is ws23 the same as koolada? Koolada has an aftertaste to it where as ws23 is just cold.

Definitely want to get some Koolada. I'm in the US. It sounds like the opposite of the medicine taste of some menthols and I'm looking for that. And the Mint, Wintergreen and Spearmint combo that a super person llisted above. I've gotten Inawera Flavor written down to look up. Thank you so much. :-)

If you like eucaliptus you must try the eucaliptus menthol from inawera, so potent (at 5% ) and you can use it as single flavour. It gives a cooler sensation than only menthol and becomes less boring

Oh I LOVE the smell of Eucaliptus. My Mom used to put a bunch in a big floor vase in the hall and the smell was heavenly. Do you have the link to the website or just ty;e in Inawera? I've never heard that word before...

Hit the sidebar to find some vendors. Inawera is a brand of flavor concentrates available at most DIY vendors. As far as DIY ingredients, WS-23 and Flavour Art (FA) Polar Blast are must haves. The Perfumers/Flavor Apprentice (TPA/TFA) Peppermint is a nice minty blend and their Wintergreen is solid. (INW) Natural Mint is very good.

Check out alltheflavors.com to search for recipes using these ingredients.

Oh Thank you! I've gotten all of this written down. Coming off a nasty migraine type headache all weekend so still kind of woozy. Safer to write it down. They all sound great and thank you for explaining what each one is. I'm feeling alot better about finding and probably mixing a couple of flavors and get the perfect flavor I'm looking for. Whoo!

I'm fairly certain I got my eucalyptus with mint flavor from bull city.

If you grab it I'd look up a clone recipe for mentholyptus. That and watermelon crack are two of my favorite cold flavors. The original manufacturer of the flavors sells one shots on their site. Company is BX vapor. Definitely worth checking out.
