####Q: How do flavors get put on the schedule?
####A: Requests and suggestions from people like YOU!
If there's something you'd like to see, just post a request in this thread. You can request both a specific flavor profile and where it lands on the calendar.
Edit: Added Six weeks of Blueberries
What constitutes a "vanilla cream"? Where is the line between a cream and a custard or pudding? Like, does creme anglaise count as a vanilla cream, or is it a custard?
So, yes, anything creamy and vanilla is a vanilla cream. That is a lot of things. So many things. For example, we had vanilla ice cream for flavor of the week just a little while back. All of those are vanilla creams. We've had vanilla before, and many of those happen to be creamy. Cream anglaise is a pouring custard, but also creamy and it can be vanilla-y, so that is also a vanilla cream.
This is everyone's Flavor of the Week thread and everyone is encouraged strongly to discuss whatever kind of vanilla cream thing they want here.
For Noted purposes, we've narrowed it down to just flavors called "vanilla cream" or something very similar. Personally, the flavors I have lined up for this week are: GRM Vanilla Overload, HC Creamy Vanilla, HC Vanilla Cream, Delosi Vanilla Cream, TFA French Vanilla Creme, WF Vanilla Cream Extra, WF Tahitian Vanilla Cream, INW Vanilla Cream, VT Vanilla Cream, NF Organic Vanilla Cream, INW Shisha Vanilla, and LB Vanilla Cream Tobacco.
GRM Vanilla Overload because I have it now and it's never been featured before, despite the various cream and vanilla episodes we've done in the past. I think the two HC's are the same thing from two different vendors, but I will find out. I'm leaving out CAP Vanilla Whipped Cream because we have whipped cream up next week, but am including TFA French Vanilla Creme because French Vanilla is still months away. Shisha Vanilla, well, it's been a long time since the "vanilla" episode and even though it doesn't have "cream" in the name, it seems like such a solid benchmark for other creamy vanillas, so I'm bending my own rule a bit by including that one.
I'm looking forward to figuring out how WF vanilla cream and WF tahitian vanilla cream compare to each other. :)
Hi, Tahitian is brighter and mixes really well in all sort of recipes. Extra is a bit thicker on the mouthfeel. Both are absolutely delish. For me Tahitian is a lot more versatile, in the likes INW Vanilla Shisha is. I also find it very similiar to VTA Vanilla Cream, but for some reason I cannot explain, VTA version just doesn't do the magic Tahitian does...
I figured that Noted was gonna have to be a narrower focus than the thread, I can't imagine how long that episode would be if you guys tried to be comprehensive about things that meet "vanilla cream" as a profile.
I thought Vanilla Cream was what happened when Vanilla got really excited. 😄
INW Shisha Vanilla is my go to vanilla cream. If we're talking ice creams, I'd say SSA Ice Cream Vanilla. WF Vanilla Cream Extra is my favorite that actually has the words "Vanilla Cream" in the name
LB Vanilla Ice Cream + TFA Vanilla Swirl is my vanilla cream, sometimes a bit of FA Meringue or any of the other creams to fill it out, FLV Cream, FA Cream Fresh, etc.
Ever since I heard some people were using FA Custard Premium at 1% in foment_life’s DAAPled Base I’ve been swapping out the VIC with that.
My experience with vanilla’s would be LB Vanilla ice ( good stuff), TFA vanilla swirl (good for a additive) and my favorite that I’ve tried idk if considered a cream but TFA Vanillin 10% is amazing for adding a vanilla creaminess. I’ve heard that it’s pretty much a direct replacement for Cap French Vanilla but have never tried Cap
I dont own any concentrates that just say vanilla cream but tfa vanilla bean ice cream and inw shisha vanilla are my favorite vanilla flavors.
Mine too. I don't taste the pepper in vbic and enjoy it so much i can vape it solo. Inawera is great too, but pretty strong
I've been looking for a good flavor or flavor combo to make a vanilla cream doughnut.
Around here, that is a powdered doughnut filled with a vanilla frosting.
Any suggestions on how to get the filling flavor? Was thinking about picking up a frosting flavor, but I have Hangsen Vanilla Ice Cream and Ice Cream, Shisha Vanilla, Vanilla Swirl, FLV Fresh Cream, Vienna Cream, TFA Whipped Cream and Marshmallow, FW VBIC and probably some others.

Any suggestions are appreciated!
You could try any combination of flv frosting, Wf cream filling, or VT sweet cream with your favorite vanilla and go from there. I’d think Wf vanilla cream extra or Inw Shisha Vanilla as I find them both sweeter. My personal favorite vanilla right now is Wf Tahitian vanilla cream. But that has a non descriptive fruity note to me and won’t really fit here. Again idk if this will work but could be a good starting point
CNV Donut is an incredible donut if you need that part for the recipe still! even if you have the donut part down, still try CNV donut. trust me :)
I like vanilla, it's the finest of the flavors.
in the interest of not retyping all of the amazing flavors already recommended in this thread, I just wanted to say that MF Vanilla is probably the best creamy vanilla flavor I've ever had + I use it as a sub for the discontinued Holy Vanilla. I use a 2.5:1 or 3:1 HV:MF ratio, depending on the recipe/ desired outcome. there are probably cheaper ways to sub for HV, but MF is the best single concentrate I've found to accomplish a successful HV sub.
This is the kind of thing the FOTW posts are for, thank you.
I didn't have any good recipe suggestions to add to the convo, so I figured I better make my comment worth it lol. Although I doubt many will rush out to buy a MF concentrate due to $$$, I personally feel that their vanilla + white + dark chocolates are absolutely worth it.
I’m looking forward to this episode. Vanilla cream is probably my favorite flavor. I bought INW shisha vanilla after watching one of your episodes and was blown away. I made a 3,2,1, kiwi strawberry cream on ELR if you want to check it out. I haven’t been mixing for a long time so please don’t rip me to shreds haha.
Would you put a link for that recipie I couldn't find it.
This is probably my favorite profile. If for nothing else the sheer versatility it provides. Can add creaminess and body to a mix. Can smooth out rough edges. Can just provide a nice background or main note. The list goes on.
Sorry to go off topic but can someone please tell me the difference between Fresh Cream and Cream Fresh? I'm so confused😵
EDIT: Just wanted to get that cleared up before I moved on to vanilla cream just in case there is a vanilla cream and cream vanilla.
I'm not 100% clear on what you mean, FA Cream Fresh and FA Fresh Cream are the same thing, the only difference is how different people translate the Italian.
Thank You, some say its good and then others say its not so good so I was thinking it was 2 different flavors.
Well, Liquid Barn does have "Fresh Cream" that's different but if you're talking about FlavourArt Fresh Cream/Cream Fresh, it's just the one flavor, and what you're observing is a difference of translation as well as opinion.
I’m almost positively pretty sure that it’s the same flavor and I’ve heard people say that they have received the flavor labeled both ways.
Thankies Again :) I'm just a little confused then but glad to have the mystery solved lols.
I believe it’s FA which is an Italian vendor and they say it reversed. Also. Remember a lot of times we’re not purchasing directly from the vendor and that sometimes it’s rebottled and relabeled and I think that’s how it happens. Basically, it’s Americans messing stuff up. Maybe someone else could confirm that I’m not just absolutely making all of this up. 😏
If someone was looking for a cream flavor or combination of cream flavors that would be vanilla and equal to the cream that is used in an alcoholic mixed drink beverage, what would be the best choice? I guess it would be similar to half and half or heavy cream, not too thin like milk though.
I'm going to be thinking about this when I try a bunch of vanilla creams this weekend but until then, I'd go with a mixture of CAP Sweet Cream (around 2%) and whichever vanilla works best with whichever alcohol, though FA Vanilla Bourbon would probably be the first one I'd try.
Maybe FA Milk + INW Shisha Vanilla. FA Milk is thicker than whole milk to me and I think Shisha Vanilla would add some more body on top. What kind of mixed drink though?
Edit: actually think I might mix up some FA Milk, Shisha Vanilla, and FLV Milk and Honey and see what happens.
When using vanilla cream can you use just one or do you need multiple when added to say strawberry?
I think you can more often get away with just one than you can with fruits
Okay new to diy and strawberry and vanilla cream sounds good no idea how to accomplish it yet though
I'm waiting on my order with SSA Ice Cream and INW Shisha Vanilla. Hope I made the right choices.
Can you do a blueberry week?
Yes, we can even do several of them. There's blueberry, blueberry jam, blueberry candy, blueberry and cream, blueberry and bakery, and bilberry. Any of those particularly of interest to you?
My favorite is blueberry and bakery. And then blueberry and cream. Thank you for the reply. Also I'm listening to one of the new noted that your on. I feel like I know someone famous.
I just said fuck it and added all the blueberries. Called Blueberry & Cream "Blueberry Blends" to make room for flavors that are Blueberry + (something other than bakery). Like Blueberry Milkshake and Blueberry Smoothie, which are not explicitly Blueberry + Cream.
My personal best combination so far has been 1% FLV Cream, 0.5% FA Fresh Cream, 3% LB VIC. I'm sure there are better combinations or equivalent but just what worked great for me when trying to build my own Cream or Milkshake additive.
I also add 0.5% - 1% FA Meringue but I've tried it without and I cant honestly say which is better.
Just trying to find a Raspberry mix to place on the front end of that.
Replace the FLV Citrus Soda & CAP Lemon Lime with your vanilla cream base in Citraspberry Soda. Do what you want with the WS-23
Hey Dave,
Any chance we can get a week on Clove? I feel like it's gonna come down to little more than "just pay the money for FLV clove" but I know FA has one and HS has Black label.
Also, what about something like an INW Tobacco rundown or an exploration of "gold" tobaccos?
I'm adding clove now. HS Black Label is clove? They also have HS DJ Rum, which I thought might be a rum flavor until I tasted overwhelming clove and realized HS was being cute. DJ Rum.. Djarum.. get it? Too cute.
Gold tobaccos sounds fun! I have INW Gold Ducat and Gold for Pipe, and I know there's an FE Golden Virginia and an MB Gold Tobacco, probably others as well.
Ha. Pretty sure the black label is supposed to ape Djarum black cigarettes, but I'll double check the bottle I have.
That DJ rum bit reminds me of how a few different eliquid companies used to brand their juice, wonder if they took their cues from hangsen.
As a suggestion, I'd love to hear your thoughts on flavors that can be used as additives to bring moisture. I can't stand dry vapes, and tend to add something to add some (perceived?) moisture to everything. My main weapons are the usual, inw cactus, fa pear and cap hibiscus/cucumber. The main problem is, they're not flavorless, though they can usually be masked or used low enough not to interfere. One notable exception is a straight up vanilla cream, I'd love me some "wet" vanilla without off-notes, but all of those leak in to the flavor. Halp?
That is an interesting question. It sounds like what you're saying is you want some creamy vanilla and your usual "wetness" additives that can be masked fairly easily with fruits and such just don't work there. A vanillas you might want to try, if you haven't already, is FA Madagascar AKA Vanilla Classic, it might not be wet, but it's not dry. Another thing you might want to experiment with adding to your arsenal of wet weapons is, as crazy as this sounds, FA Walnut. It's a weirdly wet flavor and the nutty taste might be easier to mask in situations where your other tricks aren't effective.
FLAVORS
So some Vanillas that fit the bill for me would be:
INW Vanilla for Pipe. Was expecting some kind of Tobacco note in there, but only found the thought of it when testing. It's a very nice Vanilla Cream though
MB Creamy Vanilla. To be honest, I tested it at 2%. That's all I have on my notes. All I remember was I was not impressed. Not that it was bad, just not in the same league as the Top ones. Never used, should probably give it a try and refresh what it was about.
FLV Smooth Vanilla feels pretty creamy to me. It is hard to describe this one for me. To me it's white, very distinctive, hard to work with even at lower dilutions...
MB Legendary Custard. To me this leans more towards a bright Vanilla Cream than it does to a Custard, though the European Custard note is there.
Other flavors in my stash have been talked about, so I'll leave it at that.
RECIPES
Creamy Vanilla Pudding by DeeJay_Mills is a great Vanilla recipe. Enjoyed a lot of that back in the day.
Vanilla Cream Wafer by oooNaSuGamisooo is an absolute beauty. Hasn't got popular, but one of the best recipes in its category IMO.
So that's about it for a comment ...
Vanilla cream, I like them all LOL. Except with tobacco in them. I quit smoking to not taste that flavor.
Flavoring with vanilla and or cream in them, ID10-T must have over two hundred. This is going to be a long show. I guess they must have both even still I'd guess it's close to a hundred.
For me, holy vanilla/holy resurrection (res-erection) from DIY flavour shack is basically a vanilla cream flavour. And it's personally my favourite. I use it with OOO cream milky undertones in my spiced apple ripple wafer recipe. Might not be to everyone's tastes but for me it's nom.
2% holy resurrection (diyfs) 2% cream milky undertones (OOO) 0.5% apple filling (flv) 1% double apple (cap) 0.5% biscuit (jf) 2% pie crust (ooo) 0.2 super sweet (cap)
Is it me or does anyone else taste vanilla in FA Whipped Cream? Been using that as a sub for TFA vanilla swirl and I think it is an improvement, is it the vanilla or just the DAP?
