Hi everyone! Happy Free Friday! Time to leave the week's worry behind and enjoy a weekend. (I hope the weather is perfect for you wherever you are!)
Normally I start these posts by reminding everyone that this is not a contest or a drawing. To be a Free Friday recipient, the main qualification is simply to be a good person.
However, after giving this a lot of thought and talking it over with some pretty cool people, this week we are going to do something JUST a little different so it can open up to more people including all those that I don't see on a regular basis.
So to have a chance at being a Free Friday recipient and taking home a box of Gremlin goodies, THIS week I am going to open up the room for entries. Simply provide an answer to the question below, and NEXT Friday, one of the people that posts here will be the Free Friday recipient.
.
Question: Think back either years, months or days depending on how long you have been DIYing, and let me / us know that one flavor that you found that you absolutely fell in love with. Maybe it was a great single flavor, or maybe it was absolutely perfect for your recipes. Whatever the case, it is that one flavor that you think is the best one you ever found!
Have fun, write a short story, or simply the name of the flavor, it's up to you. This is not going to be an essay contest, it will simply be a random-ish selection of all who would like to receive a box of 8 or so one ounce bottles of flavor, and have a little fun in doing so.
Thank you for playing, let's hear what you think!
Not an entry but I do love talking about flavors. Fa Fuji and cap sugar cookie are two of my all time favorites that get repurchased. Neither of them are that great to me solo but they’re just both so damn good I literally never tire of them. Fa Fuji I just love for it’s bright juicy apple taste and I kinda like that it fights you for a few days. Cap sugar cookie I fell in absolute love with off u/ID10-T’s Tootsee Roll which just opened my eyes to how nice it is that people can share recipes and make stuff for anyone to enjoy.
My personal favorite for years I think has been TPA's Strawberry Ripe.
That’s a good one! I love it as well. It’s weird, I never really found commercial strawberry juices to be my jam… and now I can’t get enough!
I love TFA Strawberry Ripe with TFA Strawberry and CAP Sweet Strawberry.
Edit: and whatever else of course. Not just three strawberries lol.
TFA Ry4 Double.
Ry4 was the juice I first started vaping when I bought my first mod over four years ago. When I first started DIY I wanted to clone it and found so many Ry4’s available out there. I found TFAs the most used so I ordered it. I’m absolutely in love with this flavor and I have thrown so many other flavors at it. It’s quite versatile and not that tricky at all.

INW Shisha Strawberry: this was THE flavor to me. Still is tbh. As a commercial strawberry 'non taster' I knew about this flavor about 6 months before I started mixing. Looming vape bans were pushing me to diy so I started to read up. This is one of those flavors that intrigued me not only because it was deemed 'good' but also because fellow mutes talked about tasting this. First order brought me a bottle of which I haphazardly mixed a ~3% tester of. Oh wow, thats why strawberry is so popular. Over the couple years I've been mixing, all sorts of strawberry concentrates were purchased but when it comes down to it, 2% shisha strawberry is added when strawberry is needed.
When I started vaping in February 2020, I almost immediately got into DIY'ing. I always wanted something blue raspberry, but almost all the commercial juice I tried tasted like perfume. Some flavors still tasted like that (Looking at you Blue raspberry TPA)
I just wanted a blue raspberry lollipop. Like a dum dum. Wonder flavors sour blue raspberry candy helped me piece together a pretty good recipe.
I think my personal favorite is cap sweet lychee. It is just great, it taste like a fresh white grape with a light syrup plus a distant earthy note. It is an incredible flavor and I think a lot of people just don’t give it a chance it deserves. I tried it single and I made a recipe with it (which replicates the finest - lychee dragon) but I am not satisfied with it anymore heh, so now I am looking to upgrade it but still in search of a right pairings. Anyway, try cap sweet lychee. Right now, lol
i still havent made the plunge into diy yet, im mostly lurking because of the laws making getting liquid harder and harder
but my favorite flavor of all time is milk of the poppy by blue dot, and they arent around anymore so my first goal if i delve into diy would be to find a clone of it
SSA Peanut Butter. I fell in love with this after getting a recommendation from someone on the Discord. Unfortunately, due to its relative new-ness, I can't mix anyone else's recipes! Missing too many flavors across the board. I've been having a lot of fun playing around with it though, but I'm not quite confident enough to publish any of my own experiments yet. A simple one that I've been enjoying recently:

Purilum Melody. I first used this flavor in a water Malone mix, and it made that recipe much better than the original. I have since used Purilum Melody to replace most of my watermelon recipes, I believe the hint of a mint flavor is what does it for me.
Hmmm I might try this! I don’t usually like cooling/mint but maybe since it’s only a hint.
I first picked this flavor up on a clearance deal, otherwise I probably would have never attempted to use it. I'm not a fan of mint either, but this is done right. I taste the mint ever so slightly at the end of the flavor profile. At least for me, it's extremely flavorful. If you pick it up, let me know what you think of the flavor.
CAP Sugar Cookie, far and away! I first stumbled onto it several years ago as a single flavor. I loved it so much I inched my way up to 8% and was in love! My order history shows I ended up plowing through six 4oz. bottles over the years, with no end in sight!
This year with the mail ban and all that I jumped back into the scene, resubscribed to subreddits and joined the Discord and discovered ATF and it was a whole new world! I dropped out of the scene back when the Kanger Aerotank and the MVP2 were household names, content to do my own thing and stop chasing the next upgrade and another flavor and protect my wallet, back when Nude Nicotine and Wizard Labs were the way to be, and I had no idea what things had blossomed into with ATF and River and Bull City! Following with that, I stumbled onto Simple Sugar Cookie and fell in love all over again!
Oof there are a few I just really love. And I’m pretty new to DIY!! Right now tho, being summer, I am gunna say Molinberry Big Watermelon!!
This might be bc I had to mix up some juices for a friend and everything she asked for had watermelon in it! So I’ve been vaping watermelon for like a week (wanted to make sure they were good first!) Watermelon alone, strawberry watermelon, blue raspberry watermelon…. and they all turned out amazing!!
Might change my mind once my apple recipe finishes steeping tho! That will be the first recipe I completely made on my own (everything has FA Fuji in it and I don’t like it) and I’m hoping it’s a good one!!
From the beginning I really loved FA's Meringue an still do. And recently I've been using a lot of TFA's Vanilla Custard 2 which is an awesome flavor. I've also found a few of Molinberry's flavors to be great lately. Especially their Strawberry Milk. It's great on its on as a one shot to me. There's so many wonderful flavors it's hard to think of just one in specific. :) But I thank you for the opportunity to be able to be apart of Free Fridays and it's also nice to be able to get the chance to get to know you and everyone by being apart of. :)
I was tempted to say INW's TAs but since there are three of them I'll go for INW's DNB or Dirty Neutral Base. Absolutely essential for anyone that likes to mix tobaccos. Not a primary flavor for sure but that might actually help its case since you can only do so much with primary flavors but something like DNB can support all kinds of flavors and combos.
I love that you sell your oneshot flavors. I used to diy a bit back in the day but it got overran by other hobbies and my lack of patience trying to make recipes work. Decided i wanted to get back into diy last year but all my flavors are pretty old and have some off tastes. But thankfully you have your oneshots i just dilute and vape. I used to buy your vanilla custard premade from a local vape shop and loved it, and now it's literally all i vape anymore, though i do like some of your other flavors too! Thank you for what you do!
I only recentlly got into making my own juice but so far my favorite flavor of the few I have tried would probablly be Liquid Barn's pacific cooler by far
What does this taste like? I picked it up but I’ve been busy so I haven’t gotten a chance to look it up or try it out.
I first tried it at the recomended level and was pretty disapointed because it was very mild, but after upping it to about 8% it was just a nice sweet generic "fruity" taste. I thought it was good but I really started to like it after adding a small amount of menthol to it. It is a little harsh though so if thats not your thing I would be wary.
Sorry for the late response.
Been mixing for about a year, making my own recipes for a couple of months. There's a couple of flavours that come to mind but if I had to choose only one it would probably be FE Lemon. It's vital for any lemonade and that flavour profile is what got me off smoking. That and LA Lemonade are the flavors I go to whenever I get tired of bakeries or candy liquids.Been working on my own plain lemonade for a while, but so far nothing is better than what has already been posted.
Thanks for the chance!
If I had to choose ONE flavor for the rest of my life it would be Check Mate from LiquidLabor.eu. Its tobacco with dark chocolate and a hint of nuts. I have always four of my 18 vapes loaded with this juice and its always gone first.
p.s. just in case that I would be choosen, I would like you to give the box to a newbie. I DIY since almost ten years and have about 300 aromas in stock.
Well I've only been mixing since about a month ago and have only been able to make 2 different mixes so far because I like to use 1 flavor per coil, which were prickly victory including CAP- Sweet Guava and INW- Cactus and It was great. The stand out flavor was definitely the Sweet Guava. I can see myself using it in a lot of mixes. The second one was a single flavor mix of FA- Forest Fruit and I gotta say, I fell in love with that one as well. At 9.75% with 0.5% super sweet and 8-12 hours steep it is a literally mouth watering delight and so easy to make. So happy I started DIY. Thanks Gremlin for the random giveaway!
TFA Orange Cream I love OJ but cant drink it. Not sure if that is why I am attached to this flavor, I just like it. I do try other flavors. Have 3 regular recipes. And try other things once in awhile. Like just made up a cinnamon roll recipe. It is better than some of the others I have mixed up.
I think it is great that you do the giveaways.
