Long time bakery DIYer now into Coolings
submitted over 4 years ago by that_vapeguy

Hi, I've been a long time DIYer only bakery and cream flavors. Love me my custards and caramels and tobaccos ands so on. But recently bought a bottle of the Juice Head FREEZE of the Pineapple Grapefruit flavor and all I can say is I fell in love with the "ice and cooling feeling". I've literally got 4 bottles in 4 weeks of this stuff just to get that feeling.

Now I want to recreate it.. I bought WS-23(BCF), WS-3(PUR), Polar Blast(FA), Koolada(TPA) and Menthol(TPA). And I've gone thru different ratios of each and I can't get that full mouth-throat chilling effect. With the WS-23 that I see it's the most used I've gone up to 2% and only get the chilling effect after the hit. I've mixes 1% koolada and 1% ws-23 and it does something to the flavor this way.

I have now polar blast which I can barely feel and ws23 but its not the same full chilling effect.

Any ideas on what ratios to mix or am I adding too much?

Ws-3 and koolada are the same thing, just for your reference.

Try going higher than 2% with ws 23

WS-3 is more potent than WS-23 but the WS-3 in Koolada is diluted to 10% and WS-23 usually comes in the 30% dilution. You'll probably find that 1% Koolada doesn't equate to 1% WS-23. I think 1% WS-23 is stronger than 1% Koolada from my experience if that helps.

I think most people recommend a mix of Polar Blast and WS-23 to get the cooling on both inhale and exhale. Obviously concentration is to personal taste.

Awesome will try this right away! I'm trying a personal recipe with banana and mango and this ice combo should be the bomb

Hi. SolarAU is correct, use WS-23 and FA Polar Blast at a ratio of 1:1 and you should experience cooling on the inhale as well as the exhale. Be aware though that too much cooling can mute your flavors and that you get accustomed to that „cool“ feeling rather quickly, meaning you‘ll need more of it to achieve the same effect. In my opinion, it’s advisable to mix it up, don‘t vape just that one cold „juice“ 24/7, but vape 1 or 2 other profiles without coolant throughout the day. Welcome to the cold side!

Yeah! I've been vaping custards/bakery/cream flavors for years. Love them all with tobacco but just got this random bottle of juice that was on sale and got hooked :). Thank you!

Hi! I did what you suggested and the icy feeling I love it from the mix of ws23 + polar blast at 1% each in the mix. But I get a weird chemical flavor from the polar blast and it definitely mutes the flavor. Any suggestions? I currently dropped the polar blast to 0.5% and 1.5% ws23 and see how it goes

Combine WS-23 and Polar Blast.
