####Q: How do flavors get put on the schedule?
####A: Requests and suggestions from people like YOU!
If there's something you'd like to see, just post a request in this thread. You can request both a specific flavor profile and where it lands on the calendar.
When I was fairly new to DIY, I put FA Vienna cream in EVERYTHING.
Only two flavors? Wow
Gonna be a quick flavor review week I guess. I don't have the LB version but the FA version of Vienna cream's pretty alright, though I'm not much a fan of steeping myself I don't plan a week or more ahead very often when mixing so it's seldom on the short-list for me to pick up when I've run low/out of juice.
Yep, that's the thing. FA Vienna Cream requires a steep and changes dramatically once it gets one. Without at least four or five days on it, it tastes like it tastes like someone tried to make spiked eggnog and substituted nail polish remover for rum.
If you asked me today I'd say you're not missing much by not having the LB version, but I'm looking forward to seeing how some mixers have made it work.
I’m excited to see which recipes you showcase. Recipes with cream are my favorite.
Chudthwack, I just placed an order with Nicotine Giant. Did they fix your rancid order or did you have to get a refund?
They never responded to anything at all. I had to end up filing a dispute through my bank. I mean from what I’ve seen you should be pretty safe ordering from them. I just found out the hard way that on the off chance you get a bad product, you are stuck with it. I hope it works out for you. Times are rough.
I heard the ban was postponed on April 27... I wonder if any vendors are going to start shipping again. What did you say to your bank if you don't mind me asking? I'm hoping mine is from a different batch. I wonder if nude nicotine is shipping again...I still have 250ml from them in my freezer the one that is packed with argon in glass bottles and even an almost empty bottle I have is fine. I wanted to try the 100mg/ml nic salt at low concentration of 3-6ml but somehow it vanished from my cart and wasn't in my order.
/u/OdieDoodah , I see your request for Lemonade finally popped up on the visible schedule. Believe it or not, lemonade is a pretty broad category, as in there are tons of lemonade flavors. Any chance you'd like to narrow that down to something more focused like "Berry Lemonade" or "Pink Lemonade?"
Good idea - FOTWs that are more focused (smaller number of flavors) are MUCH better than marathons of trudging thru 100 flavors. When I made that suggestion I was thinking about "seasonality" - and Lemonade and warmer weather work well together.
By my count, there's approx 50 Lemonade flavors. Around 20 are generically named Lemonade. There's about 10 Pink Lemonades and another 10 that are Lemonade + Fruit. The last 10 are things like Arnold Palmer and Lemonade Cookies. Feel free to include/exclude whichever subsets you think would work best.
Pink Lemonade it is. Maybe we can finally figure out whether there's any consensus on what makes a pink lemonade pink, at least among flavor makers. I know some people say it’s a bit of berry but there’s some disagreement about which one - strawberry, raspberry, cranberry? I’ve even heard pomegranate. But after vaping some lemonade flavors and pink lemonade flavors one after the other, I’m pretty sure it’s just Red #40 or whatever.
If you blindfolded me and had me try some lemonade I’m not sure I could tell whether it was pink lemonade or lemonade. But if you had me drink both lemonade and pink lemonade by the same company, I’m fairly certain I could tell you which one is the pink one. They just taste pinker, and at the moment, I can’t make any more sense of it than that.
4.15% - TFA Double choc clear 1.8% - CAP Caramel V1 1.7% - CC Cookie Dough 1.25% - DIYFS holy vanilla v2 1% - CAP choc brownie v2 .7% - FA vienna cream .6 - FW marshmallow .35 - CAP whipped marshmallow .3% - CAP cake batter v1 .5% - super sweet CAP .4% - Ethyl maltol (chefs flavors additive) .2% - TFA brown sugar
Its very sweet, but also very tasty. I was trying to make something chocolatey and it wasn't working. I had a cookie recipe that I liked so combined the two. It worked suprisingly well. Alleviated the harshness that chocolate flavours bring and leaves a very sweet aftertaste in your mouth
One of the best creams in RL, I would do anything to make a Trinity. By far, the only decent recipe I've tried for Vienna Cream is OnA by Fear.
i dont have these, how dont i have these, tell me which one(or both) to get. also i like the variety on the recipes you picked.

What do Eric Clapton and 7/11 coffee have in common?
They both suck without cream
I'm going to say go ahead and get FA Vienna Cream right now, just for the huge number of recipes you can make once you have it. From single-flavor testing, I'm not sure you're missing much by not having LB Vienna Cream, but I'm looking forward to seeing what at least a couple of mixers have done with it.
I only have FA Vienna Cream. Every time I use it, I find myself humming songs from The Sound of Music. 🤓
Can't wait for these recipe reviews. I haven't had any luck with with the very few I've tried with the FA. A Vienna cream coffee would be cool. Thanks noted gang!
Could someone please tell me what exactly a vienna cream is supposed to be? Is it comparable to a bavarian cream? I have the fa vienna, but I've never gotten around to trying it because I don't plan ahead enough to steep things
From the reviews for FA Vienna Cream on BCF . . .
>Vienna Cream is a flavor is fairly thick and rich, with good mouth feel. It's similar to a Bavarian cream. Almost pudding like, but not quite. it kind of balances between a heavy cream and a frosting without quite being either. In a standalone, it reminds me of the filling in an Italian Napolean dessert you can get at the Chinese buffett. Delicious!
I don’t think anyone knows what makes a cream Viennese. It’s like, just a marketing thing.
not one cream of the crop joke, my disappointment is immeasurable
It’s only the beginning, look at the schedule. I’ve three more weeks to make all your creams come true.
Maybe I missed it but how about cherry or more specifically tart cherry.
It's been at least a year since cherry was the FOTW: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/ev8bhf/often_this_flavor_of_the_week_is_the_pits_but/
And there are a few new cherry flavors out since then. And we're scheduling all the way out to February 2022. So I'll add it to the schedule for you. But last time I had 48 cherry flavors to try, and this time I'd have at least 55 if we just did "cherry." So let's try to narrow it down. There's only one flavor I know of called "Tart Cherry" (It's by Capella and it kinda sucks). We could call it "red cherry" and still have a ton of flavors but trim off some like the black cherries, cherry tobaccos, cherry blossoms, cherry liquor, etc. Or go even narrower and call it "wild cherry" or "candy cherry," whichever sounds more like what you're interested in.
Well that's the one I bought from river as part of their closing sell and as a dumbass I didn't notice the size and I had a huge cart so I have a 500 ml of Capella tart cherry that will be arriving shortly. I think I'm going to try and develop a cherry lemonade with it. I could get behind wild cherry. I think I'm going to have to put the tart cherry in my will cause ain't no way I'll use 500mls
I’m hoping NicRiv will fix my FA Vienna Cream order from yesterday’s buying frenzy. Based on my reading I use FLV Cream + TFA Vanilla Swirl in place of Vienna Cream. If I get my River order I can make a real comparison
Didn't you get most of your flavors from River Supply? Where are you going to get flavors now?
I use River just as much as I use BCF and Chefs. I make a list to replenish my stock and get new stuff. Then I wait for some site promotion and buy. My Vienna Cream issue was my mistake, if River can’t fix it it’s no biggie, I’ll pick it up somewhere else. I don’t think FA Vienna Cream is essential but has always sparked my curiosity
Maybe to throw hangsen italian cream to the mix too? It's a really good flavor and a pretty similar profile.
You really think HS Italian Cream is a similar profile to FA and LB Vienna Creams? I mean, yes, they are all creams. And they are both named after someplace in Europe. But one is essentially mascarpone cheese flavor and the other two are both sweet, light dairy creams. Granted, I have no idea what actual "Italian" or "Vienna" creams are supposed to taste like. From a culinary perspective, you could be entirely correct, they could be very similar. IMO as far as the vape flavors go, though, they could hardly be more different and still be plain "cream" flavors. I just wouldn't have thought to group them together, is all.
I have found that FA Vienna Cream is amazing with VTA Banana Custard to give it a little spiced banana note. A little FA Custard premium and your good to go. I like to throw a little WF shortbread cookie or OSDIY fried Ice Cream in mine too. I look forward to watching the upcoming episode to find out a little more about other Vienna Cream options and what the Noted crew thinks of them.
why dont you do the Noted team another week off and do Catalan cream for a week? hmm which other niche names have only one flavor...
Vienna Cream gets stellar reviews.

I really like Summer Exchanges by Mysticiols.

It's a keeper :) Make sure to check out his/her notes on tweeks...
Man, I remember when I started DIY around 2015, how popular FA Vienna Cream was. I mean back in the day, it was TPA Bavarian, FA Fresh, TPA Vanilla Swirl and FA Vienna. I think 90% of creamed recipes used in one way or another a combination of these 4 Creams. FA Fresh and FA Vienna pair on a 1 to 1 ratio was a classic.
Looking back at the older recipes I have saved on ELR, I feel kinda nostalgic. Pebbles by NotCharlesManson, Vanilla Almond Milk by Vurve, Cosmic Fog Nutz Clone by Wayne, Sugar Cookies and Cream by ChrisDVR, Mango Beauregarde by Kopel, just to name a few. I really miss these mixers and some of the shows that were hosted by them: Begginner Blending and MixLife where both great.
Back to Vienna, haven't used it in ages. Hard to keep up with so many new flavors coming from vendors every couple of months, hard to keep up. Older flavors just seem to be left aside while trying new stuff all the time. This show is very welcome for recipe sharing. I really am up for mixing some Vienna Cream stuff........
I have + like FA Vienna Cream, never tried LB's. Vienna Cream is a thick, sweet icing made with butter, powdered sugar + milk. it can be enjoyed plain (vanilla) or can also be made into chocolate, orange, lemon or coffee flavors, so delicious. I'm so excited about the recipes for this week's episode!
FA Vienna Cream is one of my favorites, but I have gotten to where I rarely use it. It always seems to bully other flavors in my mixes. Idk what I'm doing, but it's all I can taste at about 1%. Seems to really blanket the entire mix, and it mutes and smooths a lot of the edges. Some of those edges are good though. Idk. It has it's place. I know that shake n vape Vienna Cream is vile lol
Probably my favorite recipe that includes a Vienna Cream: Cream Puff Pastry #723
Ingredient|% :---|---: Bavarian Cream (Crema Bavarese) (FA)|0.75 Cream (Flavorah)|0.35 Cream Puff (SC) (WF)|2.25 Sugar Cookie v1 (CAP)|2.00 Sweetener (Sucralose) (FW)|1.00 Vanilla Whipped Cream (CAP)|1.00 Vienna Cream (FA)|1.00
Flavor total: 8.35%
There are only two flavors for this week, FA Vienna Cream and LB Vienna Cream. I love it, because that means I get to try a smorgasbord of recipes that use these flavors. There are 10 of them I plan to mix today, but if you have a request that I try one of yours instead, or maybe one of someone else's that you're curious about and would like to see reviewed, now's the time to HMU.

Oh nice someone did a boba, i'll have to try it. i had an experimental boba recipe years ago and it was....well it was an experiment. Lol. Not worth recreating to vape again. I couldn't get over warm boba though and i dont think coolant will help...
Agreed, at least on principle. Boba should be cold.
More than someone did a boba, but there was only one using a Vienna cream flavor that I wanted to try. If you search for Boba on ATF, then ignore the tobacco (Boba's Bounty) ones, you get, if I counted correctly, 9 results. I'm mostly interested in what they did to recreate or at least give a nod to the tapioca balls. A long time ago, when I knew much less about what I'm doing, I tried to get there with a mixture of CAP Jelly Candy + FW Hazelnut. Looking over these 9 results, I see:
FLV Starch Base + FLV Toffee + FLV Vanilla Pudding
VT Rice Base
FE Sweet Rice X 2
Nothing x 5 (booo!)
Personally, just on paper, I think the Starch Base guy might be on to something.
Not a one of these recipes have any cooling, which just seems... wrong. We might need to do something about this.
Never watched one of these, when does it air so I can catch one for the first time?
Noted airs on Monday nights at 9 central if you want to catch it live, on the DIYorDIE YouTube channel. But you can watch it afterward at the same place, or just join in the conversation about the FOTW right here in this comment section.
I'm completely new to DIY, but seeing that these are all Bases, I bet they would be great to have on hand. The possibilities are endless for some delicious Desserts! I don't want to get ahead of myself, but it's exciting to look forward to trying new things!
