I can’t stand FA Fuji Apple - help me put together an apple (apple filling, not tart apple).

I am somewhat new to DIY. I have had good luck so far by reading a LOT, testing flavors, and using existing recipes.

However, I HATE FA Fuji Apple. I know this bc I am obsessed with apple pie vape juices and so I used to buy commercial ones all the time but like 9 out of 10 went straight in the trash bc they had this strong tart apple flavor that totally overwhelmed everything else. After testing some apple recipes DIY I am 100% certain that strong tart apple flavor was FA Fuji Apple. It takes over anything else in a mix and is all I can taste. I am not sure why I react this way to it, but I do.

I am willing to order whatever I need to IF I can find it (in the US). I did some research last week but unfortunately couldn’t find most of the flavors mentioned here so all I ended up with was FA Apple Pie, which is more for the crust (I don’t get any apple off of it like most people).

Thank you for any help this is the only type of juice I really love that I haven’t been able to find/create a recipe for.

Yup it’s pretty authentic for the filling of a McDonald’s apple pie.

I suspect OP wouldn’t like cap double apple as too similar to Fuji.

SSA baked apple is another alternative to FLV apple filling, I find it a little more like the apple sauce you’d eat with pork though, slightly fresher than apple filling.

I have FLV Apple Pie and CAP Apple Pie which I think would have worked for OP, but as someone who loves apples, I'm going to have to pick up some Apple Filling!

Dang, FA Fuji is one of my favorite concentrates!!

FLV apple Filling is great, particularly for desserts and bakery mixes

i really really wish i liked it, trust me. the only two commercial juices i like are cosmic fogs apple butter and dinner lady apple pie. everything else tastes like nothing but green apple.

FLV Apple Filling is great in desserts, and Purilum Country Apple is a fantastic cooked apple (no spice notes in it). The PUR flavors can be found at River Supply. I highly recommend the Country Apple as an alternative, doesn't have the tartness of FA Fuji.

Thanks! Anything else from their line you’d recommend since I’ll be placing an order anyways? In addition to bakery I like to vape fruity stuff especially mango, and custards and cheesecakes. I could use more berry flavors aside from strawberry.

I placed an order for a bunch of purilum flavors recently but haven't had a chance to try anything but their watermelon and lemonade, both of those are pretty good! Other than that, unfortunately I have no clue what's good yet.

i think i snagged this. they were out of so much! so i didn’t get a lot of what i wanted. i ended up ordering gorilla bottles and bostonrounds to meet shipping.

FLV apple filling backed up with PUR country apple should get you there, WF does have an apple butter but did not make it to the recent release.

Purillum country apple is and option as well. Have you tried adding fa amber to fuji?

When I first tied fuji it was in a recipe at like 4% and it was off putting like you say. At 1%, it is nice to me for some reason. When it hits my saturation point it gets quite bitter to me.

Huge fan of VSO Apple here... without a doubt my favorite organic-tasting apple! It’s a bit hard to get yr hands on, but hot damn it’s good. I understand what you mean about FA Fuji. My problem was over-smoking it until I just got really sick of it. In my opinion:

Best cooked apple = FLV Apple Filling.

Best uncooked apple = VSO Apple.
