As always, the purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a category of flavor and its many uses.
##⭐ This week's flavor is . . . Bread
Post your own recipes containing this week's Flavor of the Week, as the star or in a supporting role, with or without development notes. Talk about other people's recipes that use it. Share flavor notes. Compare and contrast different manufacturers' versions of the FOTW. Ask for help using a flavor in general or to achieve something specific, offer advice, brainstorm ideas, consider substitutions, suggest pairings... really anything at all as long as it's on topic. But most of all, remember to have FUN

####Q: How do flavors get put on the schedule?
####A: Requests and suggestions from people like YOU!
If there's something you'd like to see, just post a request in this thread. You can request both a specific flavor profile and where it lands on the calendar.
I’d like to meet the writing team who comes up with these puns
Have yet to find a "bread" flavor that isn't just liquid yeast
I was really into this mix when I made it: BWAH: Berry, Wheat, Almond, Honey.
I wouldnt run out and buy flv wheat to make it, but I enjoyed steppign out of my comfort zone and giving a new profile a chance.
Do you have OoO Strawberry Jam?
I actually came across this recipe yesterday. It does sound different. I can’t imagine what wheat would be like as a vape.
I’ve since learned vt honeycomb is not quite a honey, more dark and almost molassesy which I think really darkened up the bread note a bit. Hopefully you can win the pack and be able to make it yourself!!!
Just ordered wf sweet bread dont have any experience with it though. Sounds like it would help to support a good waffle or blueberry fritter two profiles I'm currently working on .
Sorry, I vape gluten-free
Gluten free sugar cookies and graham cracker crusts
I mean i guess it depends on what you count as bread as to whether i have anything to say.
Cinnamon Danish from cap? yeah, absolutely. But it's not very "bread" if you ask me.
I've seen a lot of recipes with croissant flavors which I would call a bread, but I don't know if they'd qualify either. For just plain old bread? I've got nothing.
The flavors I've got lined up for this week are: FA Bread Crust, RFSC Baked Bread, WF Bread (sweet), WF Rum Baba, FLV Lembas Bread, FLV Starch Base, FLV Wheat, VSO Fresh Bread, VSO Wheat, VSO Rye, VSO Barley, OoO Corn Bread, OoO Bread Pudding, and FE Sweet Bread. Some of those I've tried and/or mixed with before, but some of them were unopened before this morning.
Okay I know this is going to sound super weird but I love bakeries and sweet vapes but on occasion I want something savory to break up the endless parade of sweet treats I'm constantly rocking in my vaping apparatus. Now for the weird part because yeah I know so far there doesn't seem to be one yet, don't worry I'm getting there. Have any of you ever been to The Cheesecake Factory? Those that have know how good the brown bread and butter they serve up before your meal gets there is. Well I managed to make a vape that replicates that taste pretty well cause I love me some brown bread and butter and here it is:

6.00% (OOO) Squaw Bread (a brown bread much like the one mentioned above)
2.00% (FF) Butter (a very melty sort of butter that reminds me of clarified butter)
0.50% (PUR) Super Sweet (just a tiny pop of sweet because I can't help myself but optional)

This is a very savory vape but not an ADV for me, even so it makes for a little break from my usual. Its also a shake and vape but the bread steeps in a little better after a day or two.
Cool! I might to pick up some of that FF Butter, could have some fun with that.
What do you think of adding VT Butter base to that Squaw Bread?
I have not tried VT Butter yet but from what I hear, it should work well. I bought the FF Butter over a year ago and some CAP Golden butter to use when it run out.
I've been watching noted since I started mixing over a year now, but never commented on Reddit. Love what you guys do although I don't think you save me money. Every episode prompts me to make another order from Chefs! Keep up the great work.
King of bread IMO is OoO Corn Bread. Great flavour to mix with. Very versatile
u/ID10-T, if you keep making bread jokes I'm going to have to start charging. Let's say... A punpernickel
Maybe you should be writing these titles, it seems like a job you were bread for.
Well if you need any help next week, challah at ya boy
Bread flavors! Oh man, that sounds very intriguing! I have this canoli sort of flavored oneshot (Pazzo Joker), but I'm not a huge fan of it. I really need to find a recipe to spruce it up.
Anyone have any recipes that use Pazzo Oneshot Joker (FA)?
Ask and you shall receive. A friend of mine has a delicious recipe here
I actually really enjoy joker . I cant vape it nonstop but I like a tank or 2 of it now and then . I wanna try it with some chocolate and try to tweak it into a chocolate dipped canoli
Looking for a good recipe to use WF deep fried pastry, any suggestions?
So, I have trouble "trusting" some of these recipes that use that one, because of the fairly prominent spice notes and light fruity sweetness it has. I can't remember ever trying a good recipe that uses it, but if I wanted to find one, I'd make sure it's something that's supposed to be both fruity and spicy, and pass on on ones that claim to be just a regular donut or a chocolate donut or something like that. It seems like it would be perfect for something like a cinnamon apple empanada or apple cider donut, for example.
I think the apple empanada would be great!! 🖤
Correction, I have tried a good recipe that uses that, Emily's Guava Empanada is excellent.
Looking at some of the apple ones on ATF, I found this Apple Enchilada which looks like it might be amazing. I don't have all the flavors for it but that combo of FLV Apple Filling and PUR Country Apple is one I've enjoyed before and seems perfect for what he's doing. There are also recipes called Double Glazed Apple Fritter, Apple Fritter by "Mixalott," Little D's Apple Fruit Pie, and My Fritter that all look great and all have two things in common: FLV Apple Filling and WF Deep Fried Pastry Dough.
Do you consider WF Pretzel Dough also as a kind of bread? I think it should be part of this episode.
I still have to mix it up with FLV Beer nuts, but it works already fine with Saline.
Talked to my cohorts last night, I think you're right, but we decided to do separate banana nut bread, all things sesame, and pretzel at some later dates. Shall I take this as a request to add Pretzel to the schedule?
Yes, that would be great. And I think it’s a good idea to also serve the sweet cravings and get the banana nut bread with the sesame and pretzel 🥨. You just need to find a good header for that flavor profiles.😉
I’m excited you guys chose to talk about some recipes next week. I appreciate what you all go through in the name of science. Are donuts going to be part of the bread scene, or are they separate?
Wow, so shocked no one is throwing around PB&J sandwich recipes. That would make a great vape😮
Fairly new to mixing, have you guys done any cinnamon roll discussions yet? It's been years since I've found a spot on cinnamon roll juice
Dang, I need to find my "Schwarzbrot with butter and strawberry jam" recipe. Schwarzbrot is a full corn bread, native to Germany. One of our customers loved the juice, but I could barely hold... Inhaling bread isn't what I really like. Toast flavour is nice, but that bread was full corn, black bread, kinda like pumpernickel.
As far as straight bread flavors I just recently got WF Bread both (sweet) and (Butter Toast) and mixed up this recipe https://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/3934464/JamMyToast and gave it about a week steep, it was pretty good, but I think could use a little more brightness to the jam. Definitely an acquired taste for a bakery profile, seemed yeasty, but maybe it needed longer I'm not sure I haven't really worked with those breads and they didn't have a steep suggestion for the recipe
Maybe an interesting idea for FOTW - Additives. When to use them and how. Flavors like MTS, Smooth, Heat, DNB, Kinako Soy, all those FA Wizzards, EM, Sour, Saline, Flash Hit, etc.
No need for solo testing, but rather talking about their usefulness and your experience. What's good to have and what not. Might be interesting to watch since less known for average mixer.
Yep, already have sour on the schedule. "All the additives" is too much for one week. Do you have one or one type that you're more interested in than others?
A recipe I worked on for the week. It came out pretty good, needs a bit for the maple and butter/custard to grow. Not so much an ADV, although I don't believe any bread recipe can be.
Ingredient|% :---|---: Acetyl Pyrazine 5% (TPA)|0.20 Butter (TPA)|0.85 Cinnamon Sugar (SilverLine) (CAP)|1.50 Joy (FA)|0.25 Maple Syrup (FA)|0.85 Sweetener (Sucralose) (FW)|1.00 Warm Custard (VTA)|0.75 Zeppola (FA)|1.25
Flavor total: 6.65%
Vso breads are coming soon! Can't wait for those.
I don't currently have any plain breads in my stash outside of WF Bread Butter Toast, so I'll be watching the upcoming episode to see what bread will be good for a nice PB & recipe I'd like to make. Thanks for all you guys do to help us out in the DIY community. My flavor stash thanks you :)
