I know a lot of people have been disappointed by certain vendor(s) with the products they've recieved. Some have been able to replace their stock, some haven't.
Instead of complaining here about it, for those of us who are stuck with what we have, how about a recipe thread for concentrations and flavors to mask any problems with our stock to make the best of a crappy situation?
I'm using my salt nic diluted to 25mg as 50/50 with 7% RS Blue Raspberry Taffy. Seems to work fairly well. May bump up the flavor to 10% and/or add other flavors to help or reduce down to 12-20mg.
Guys, Steep your juice!
So I made the Blue Raspberry batch and added a bit of tobacco @ 2%. Initially it was pretty rank and had a bad aftertaste.
I work in a lab so I took it to work and vortexed it for about a minute. After 48 hours and a vortex the flavors are developing well and the mushroomy taste is gone. I think I can work with this.
Not sure it'd work with salts, but I've had luck suppressing the wet ashtray taste/smell of 100mg in VG freebase that was off with some citric acid (10% from crystals in PG, 2-3 drops per 10ml 100mg nic) as well as just using the untouched nic in a citrus fruit recipe (where I got the idea to try CA.)
Not quite as good as using clean good nic, but it seem a weak acid in bad freebase can help smooth it out. I've wondered if converting oxidised freebase fully to a salt with one of the other acids typically used for that would save it.
Mushroom soup flavor juice!! On a serious note before using nic you suspect is bad a chemical change has happend so its not going to be the same I would test it to actually know what strength your actually working with. wizard labs sells them.
Wait, so the salts are also affected by this issue? I thought it was just the freebase and so I didn't bother checking my salt bottle.
Yup. But it seems like it's limited to PG based for both. I bought 100 mg salts in PG and it's funky too.
