'What are you vaping?' Thread - Week of April 5, 2021
submitted over 4 years ago by c5b4c91772c729fc7d0a

This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the April Recipes Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread

Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.

If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.

Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping! We keep an archive of all the past threads in our wiki as well

Happy Vaping!

Right on time. I don't know why it took me so long because I loved the original recipe, but today I finally mixed up u/EdibleMalfunction 's Custard Now, Loaded. And it is excellent off the shake.

I'm going to let it sit for a day (or maybe two if I can find the patience) and then vape the shit out of this.

If you like Custard, mix this one up. Or try the original first. Either way you won't be disappointed, I am sure.

I just cracked into a 30ml of this that I forgot about after sitting for 2 months and wow. Mixed a 400ml right away. It will definitely not make it 2 months, that’s for sure. Contemplating getting enough concentrate for 1,000 mls to throw on the shelf.

Yeah I've been putting this one off too. Haven't tried the original either but now you've kicked me in the ass to mix them up

Mr T's very vanilla Custard.

CAP Vanilla Custard v2 - 12% TFA Dulce de Leche - 2% TFA Brown Sugar Extra - 1% FA Vanilla Classic - 2% FA Vienna Cream - 1% FA Fresh Cream - 0.5%

I've added 0.5% super sweet cause I like it sweet.

I'm enjoying it. It's been sitting for about 2 weeks now.

I've never tried any recipe with CAP VC V2. in your opinion what's the main difference (only in terms of taste) between V1 and V2?

by Whiplash77777over 4 years ago

I'm terribly sorry. I was way too stoned when I posted that. Being too lazy to type it out I copy and pasted it off the website and forgot to add that I used cap vanilla Custard V1.

I have used v2 but can't give much solid feedback as it was just once or twice and some time ago.

What I can say is that I'm loving this juice. I'm vaping it in the zeus rta with the mesh deck and getting just the slightest mist of, I don't want to even call it spit back cause it's not hot or anything, just tasty af. Filled my tank up 4 times back to back today. It's not often I do 3 refills of the same juice

fair enough. I love VC but usually mix V1 versions of flavors. ironically there is one commercial VC juice I still buy. it's rumored to be made with V2 flavors.

You should try un juice. I hear it’s better than your recipe.

Originally a 1-2-3 with TFA Vanilla custard II, I’m vaping it again with FA Custard Premium. VT Banana Custard is quite strong for my tastes but mellows out with time. I gave this two weeks.

Co. | Flavor | %
---|---|---- VTA | Banana Custard | 2 FA | Custard Premium | 2.5 FLV | Milk and Honey | 1

I mixed 3 recipes but I'm only vaping one of them. Plus I'm still vaping my Moon Rocks

The one I'm vaping is a DiyOrDie recipe called Bronuts but I added a little something to it to give it a nice Caramel filling which was:

1.00% (FLV) Caramel

0.50% (TFA) Sweet Cream

0.50% (FLV) Butter Scotch

I also mixed Chick-O-Stick by Deejay_mills which requires a 2 week steep so I haven't tried it yet but I did kinda swirl it around the bottle a little as I mixed it and it smells just like the candy. Really hoping it vapes that way too!

And last but not least I mixed a cornflakes (that's cornflakes and not frosted flakes) and milk (with a lil sugar sprinkled on top) recipes that I cobbled together reading the posts here on this reddit. I'm not sure if it needs to steep more or if I need to add something else to it or push something up higher to get the cornflakes to pop a little more or peel something back some but since its only a day or two old I can give this one more time to steep before I make my verdict. The best part about this recipe for me is that it taste like an almost 1:1 clone of a commercial juice I fell in love with back when I used to buy them called Icing On The Flake by North Shore Vape.

Moon Dog

3.00% (CAP) Cereal 27

2.00% (OOO) Toasted Flakes

1 drop

per 30 (TFA) Acetyl Pyrazine 5%

mils of liquid

0.50% (FA) Meringue

1.00% (TFA) Dairy/Milk

2.00% (TFA) Sweet Cream

0.50% (PUR) Sweetener

I think you know already, but for others reading this: if you can, best to avoid FW Yellow Cake and sub it with JF or OOO (mostly 1:1 sub). FW's contains fructose.

Caramel Cream Pastry

Just filled my tank with this after a short steep and it blew my mind! I've mixed up a bunch of caramel type recipes over the past year and this is the only one that really slaps you in the face with a real caramel experience. I'm not sure what is really bringing out that caramel. This is my first mix with CC Devon cream. Maybe it's that or the FA Custard premium or the VT Honeycomb. Whatever man, it's a great balance of ingredients. Only 9% flavorings and it's almost like a commercial juice without being sickening. 2 years old and only 3 reviews, this deserves more attention! Caramel dessert lovers must try this one!

Slight disclaimer: I did sub FW salted Caramel with VT but I'm sure it's good either way. Or maybe someone wants to play with their new WF salted Caramel. Go for it!

I'm not a mixer by any means, I just scour recipes in the hope of finding new ADVs. Here's some that I've tried this week that have absolutely smashed it:

Cannoli Contest Entry DIYorDIE

Chai Latte - 10 out of 10 - DONE!

Ella's Gold Rush

Wait, isn’t that what we all do until we learn to create our own recipes. You are a mixer!!! 🖤

by RattledSabreover 4 years ago

I suppose you're right, technically :)

I've thought about creating, but I've got as far as doing 3 single flavour tests before realising I have no idea where to start! I've got a lot of admiration for all those folks who can just pluck obscure concentrates out of their head to fit certain flavour profiles.

Respect absolutely! They all started somewhere. It takes time and patience to familiarize yourself with flavors and recipes, but it’s not impossible. As long as you are enjoying yourself, that’s all that matters! 😉

I'm a typical ADHD vaper/mixer: I throw it together until it tastes good. Is that awful?
I mixed (in a 16oz pump bottle) 5% menthol (generic), 85% Watermelon, and (approx) 10% Melon & Strawberry. I let it sit for a few days. It works out to ~24 mg. Nic.

I don't have all the measuring stuff, so it's seat of your pants, but it sure tastes good.

I fell in love with Vapolocity's "Peckalicious" brand but I can't afford their product, so I thought I'd try to dyi.

;)

Da whut? what’s with those percentages? Where’s your PG, VG, nic

1 points

by [deleted]over 4 years ago

All I know is 50PG/50VG Menthol is 24mg Watermelon is 24mg & Melon/Strawberry is 50mg. I don't have equipment (I said). I also said "seat of my pants". I thought it was a generic question like "What flavor do you vape?" then I saw some answers. Should I delete mine if it doesn't belong here?

2 points

by kuri_sanTouover 4 years agoDiketones, Schmiketones

No, you don’t need to delete. You just need to use a calculator and relay what you’re vaping in percentages. Percentages never change but the weight will depending on the milliliters you mix. Someone reading your post that may want to mix what you’re vaping will be very confused. 50/50 is just your preference. 16oz is a massive amount of liquid, holy shit! Is that for yourself? Milligrams should only be used for nicotine and is also your preference. And you shouldn’t say Watermelon, Melon, Strawberry. This is very specific. Tell us what flavor house, like LA Watermelon, FLV Melon, or TFA Strawberry and the percentages used for each. Use a calculator like https://alltheflavors.com or https://e-liquid-recipes.com/

And have fun
