####Q: How do flavors get put on the schedule?
####A: Requests and suggestions from people like YOU!
If there's something you'd like to see, just post a request in this thread. You can request both a specific flavor profile and where it lands on the calendar.
What kind of monster makes a jizz pun?
Just wait until May when we have 4 cream weeks in a row.
ID has finally lost it completely.
Cream soda is easily my least favorite of the common sodas, which is really a shame because of its proximity to root beer which I rather like.
I'm sure there's a fair bit of use for that sort of flavoring in bending another profile into something interesting though.
I'm trying to line up recipes to try this week, since I'll only have 8 cream soda flavors (2 if my DIYVS order doesn't show up in time). Of the recipes I'm considering mixing today, one of them is a Cereal Milk Cream Soda, 3 are Butterbeer (freakin Potterheads), one of them is half peach half marshmallow ring candy, one is blueberry and vanilla jelly candies, one is a mango cream soda, and one is a recipe based on a cocktail that used almond and stone fruit liquor with pineapple juice. Only one is a straight up cream soda.
So, yes. It seems a flavor meant to mimic a sorta gross soda can be made into something (hopefully) quite good.
On its own I would tend to agree. I’d guess that cream soda would be good to blend with orange (for something like an orange creamsicle or orange Julius), or cherry (for a rich cherry vanilla without cola), or pineapple and coconut (for something like a sweet, virgin piña colada).
That much could all be well and good, but on its own cream soda is a garbage tier soda.
So i like *some* cream sodas, but very few. (Diet Dr Browns is sitting on my desk as I type this).
I hate rootbeer, and i hate bubblegum.
Anyone have suggestions on a recipe which would get me a cream soda in the vanilla/creamy soda category, but skips any bubblegum or rootbeer notes?
I have a feeling I'm so picky about the real thing, the vape recreation is possibly a no go.
The only Cream Soda I have is VTA Creaming Soda, and fits Vanilla/Creamy Soda profile you are looking for. It might be a little difficult to work with, as it kind of modifies7mute other flavors, but as a solo, it's fairly nice. I wonder how the guys in the show feel about this one...
TPA Ginger Ale is like ginger cream soda. A little disappointing.
Yes it does, yes it is. FLV Ginger Peach also gives me a weird cream soda vibe in addition to the ginger and peach.
Must be some chemical that produces that note. I am not even sure what you would use as your soda base with regular ginger to make a real ginger beer. All the sodas i've tried are clearly lemon lime or cola. Probably just have to hammer it with other flavors to cover up the citrus or blend it in like 007 did. Maybe a teensy bit o hops, with some gingers and vt fizzy?
What is a cream soda? Like the definition of it? It’s not a thing here on the other side of the pond as far as i know.
It basically a Vanilla soda, depending on the brand it can be thin and a bit bland, but a good cream soda would be full and while there isn't cream in it, there's a creaminess coming from the aged vanilla, as well as a complexity to the flavor.
Personally I think a good cream soda is better than any other soda.
It sounds wrong in my head, but also delicious in a twisted way. What brands are good/decent? Maybe i can get some and try them
Before being diagnosed with diabetes I was a fan of the Sprecher cream soda. Now that I have to look at sugar free options I tend to pick up A&W due to a lack of options at most stores, but I liked A&W before switching to sugar free.
I've also heard really good things about Virgil's vanilla cream soda, which is sugar free, but I haven't had a chance to try theirs yet.
It's a carbonated beverage flavored with lots of vanilla and some citrus, and sometimes other fruits and things. It mostly tastes like vanilla but has unique, kinda bubblegum-ish quality to it.
citrus and fruits? what the hell sort of travesty is that?
Cream Soda should be vanilla and nothing else. Carbonated vanilla
Are you from the UK or mainland Europe? We've definitely got cream soda over here in the UK
Just across from you, here in The Netherlands it’s not a thing
I have only tried one real cream soda and that was nearly 30 years ago. This is a flavor which seems not to attractive to the European palate and for sure not mine. But I am interested to hear about all the derived recipes like the butter beer. Maybe it could be good to describe that flavor profile initially for all not introduced or aquatinted to that taste.
So Cream Soda is not a thing in Spain (that I'm aware of), but had the chance to try one in the UK. I remember it being a Jamaican brand or somthing of the sorts. The mouthfeel was what surprised me the most. It was kind of like drinking a Guiness beer sensation, without the beer flavor, obviosly. Creamy, voluminous, vanillary, to put it into a few words. Does that sound right to you guys? Just wondering that being a Jamaican brand, it might not be what Yankis define a Cream Soda as?
I rarely drink soda so haven't considered using any soda type of flavors. I like a dr pepper with my whopper and fries at burger king but don't really eat there very often either lols.
[EDIT] Also can we put Raspberry and/or (Black) Cherry (yeah I know cherry gets mediciney very quickly) on the schedule?
I'm trying to find the perfect butterbeer recipe, I tried 6 recipes, and I didn't like a single one of them... They weren't necessarily bad, just not what I was looking for. (ok, one was bad)
I've got four Cream Sodas, or five if you're counting VT Creaming Soda, looking forward to finding out if I need to look at another one.
I wish I could make a vape that tastes like the blood orange San Pelligrino. It actually seems like it would be hard to get enough fizz for any sparkling water.
I do not understand people who don't like cream soda. I like soda more than most people, and probably drink enough to worry my cardiologist, but there's just something special about a nice cream soda. Makes you close your eyes and go "ohhhhhhhhhh".
And you ruined it with that jizz nonsense, you cretin.
I mixed flv citrus soda with some milk and cream, does it count as cream soda? ;)
Probably needs some vanilla. How was that?
I’ve only had one cream soda, from A&W. It comes in a can and is next to the A&W root beer in the one and only store I know of that carries it. Needless to say I don’t drink it much at all so I hardly remember it’s taste. I imagine it very simple, maybe a simple or complicated cream base + Vanilla + TFA Champagne or something fizzy + an abundance of Sweetener
One I'm working on is a Big Red soda sort of thing.

Cherry Cream-Soda

4.00% Cherry Crush (FW)
10.00% Cream Soda (TPA)

I just can't get past this point because I can't taste the cream soda after a day and the cherry and cream soda together just turn into a weird muddle of sweet nothing...
I’ve never met a cream soda that I didn’t dislike. It’s like fizzy whipped cream, and for whatever irrational reason, it hits me wrong in the same way a mouthful of dishwasher detergent does. Are they all like that, or just some of them?
No jizz In my fizz please. What about fizz in your... Not goin there. Haha you guys were really funny last week. And I personally would like to see more of u/isumadog especially since him and u/id10-t are so "adorable" together. Haha but really I like the dogs ways, he's got spunk.
Out of my 830 documented recipes from the beginning of my mixing "career" this recipe... This one right here, is my favorite of all time! I can vape this all day, every day, but I need to move on sometimes to try new things. Please try it out sometime! It's super accurate to stuffing some brown/browner/and orange Bottle Caps candy in your mouth. I left out the grape and raspberry as it distracted the profile too much. It's not a "cream soda" forward recipe, but it isn't right without it. FW Orange (Natural) is the right orange too because it's not natural (Makes perfect sense)
Ingredient|% :---|---: Cinnamon (Ceylon, Cannella) (FA)|0.50 Cola (USA Pleasure) (FA)|1.50 Creaming Soda (VTA)|2.00 Orange (Natural) (FW)|1.00 Root Beer (TPA)|4.00 Super Sweet (CAP)|1.00 Sweet Candy (CAP)|0.75
Flavor total: 10.75%
Looks pretty interesting. As I was reading the above coments, SSA Cola stroke my mind as a pairing fot VTA Creaming Soda. Even though you are using FA Cola, its good to know that the profile works in that regard. Not a fan of Root Beer though, but will give this one a try, maybe with a bit of tweaking with that Cola. Thanks for the share....
Never thought about mixing cream soda. Let’s see what the panel says. I have some new coconut flavors to order from last weeks show plus some new WF. I just thought of something. Has anyone tried cola champagne? You usually find it in Latin super markets. Is that considered cream soda? If it is then yeah I’m definitely interested. That’s good stuff.
Cream soda? Creamy root beer comes to mind. About the only soda I would want cream in. For just soda there is VT fizzy sherbet. I've mixed it with FW green goblin. I made that recipe awhile ago, Cherry Up. It kinda works for soda. I still haven't gotten my hands on FLV citrus soda.
