Mixing reg nic with salt for a top up
submitted over 4 years ago by wobluemoon

Hey guys, I fell off the wagon and started smoking cigarettes again. I've just returned to vaping after stopping for almost a year. I find my 20 mg salt juice just isn't cutting my cravings. I have a drawer full of juice so I'd rather not buy more but I also have regular liquid nic in the freezer. Do you think I could top up my juice to 30mg without it tasting terrible? I dont mind it diluting the flavor, I do worry about it being too harsh. I use the original nord.

I do the reverse occasionally - add a little 50mg salt directly to the 15mg freebase in my tank. I don't measure, but the final concentration is probably about 2mg freebase for every 1mg salt or thereabouts. It works well, preserving the throat-hit of the freebase while adding a little extra kick.

Best you can do is experiment.

I think you would be ok adding 10mg freebase, salts have almost no throat hit to me. If you want to be cautious bump it up to 25mg and try that, but 30 won't be an issue if you can handle a little throat hit.

Granted I started at 18mg freebase direct lung, but I really don't think 10mg freebase in the nord should be too much.

I bumped it up to 27mg, it's a little more bitter but it's ok. I probably should have tried it on a stronger flavor then apple.
