Tape used to seal bottles of nicotine in freezer
submitted over 4 years ago by MistyBlue1982

I am going to put my liters of nicotine into smaller bottles for freezing. I just want to know what kind of tape or adhesive everyone uses to seal their Boston rounds. I did get the cone shaped poly caps but I see lots of people put something around the top to block air. Can anyone help? Offer any advice? Also when I clean my bottles before first use would a cycle through the dishwasher with no soap do it the trick?

Argon, no need for tape.

That's what I'm gonna use. I managed to find some pure argon online for wine preserving lol

Yup, that's the easiest way. I have had the same tall can for years. Just a quick squirt.

No tape, no argon, no problem.

It makes a good seal, I've used it before to tape off the ends of pipes to seal in rubbing alcohol for cleaning and it always held up well. Also working in any kind of construction it's a standard to always have electrical tape on you as it's good for everything, even as a bandaid in a pinch lol

I'm not sure how well it'll hold up in the freezer though.

The only thing to be careful about with electrical tape is that after stretching, it contracts back, and I've had it crack lids on me. Just something to be aware of. 99% of the time I've had no problems, but I definitely wrap a little less tight now.

We used electrical tape. It forms very well to the shape and seems like it would prevent any leakages. Just stretch it fairly tight as you wrap it. Hope this helps :)

I wrapped the caps of mine in heat shrink tape. But only because I have the materials already. Don't know that it's worth going out of your way to do it.

Glass = boil em to disenfect.

You don't really need tape. But you should be using argon to get rid of the oxygen in the bottle.

Do you spray in the argon before pouring the nicotine in? Or just top it off?

Fill nic n then spray argon for 2-3 sec. it will feel like nothing is coming out but it is.

Silicone tape is great, not adhesive but rather stretches then sticks so you can achieve an air tight seal

Good night, I'm new to this, what is argon and where do I buy it and how do I use it? I have 5 bottles of nic in the freezer and I'll open them soon as I protect the nic
