####Q: How do flavors get put on the schedule?
####A: Requests and suggestions from people like YOU!
If there's something you'd like to see, just post a request in this thread. You can request both a specific flavor profile and where it lands on the calendar.
What do you know, I’ve got a mango recipe!
INW Coconut- .8%
FLV Cream- 1.3%
FLV Mango- 1%
HC Malaysia Mango- 1.8%
FA Melon Cantaloupe- 1%
INW Pineapple- 1.3%
Made this over 3 years ago, so I can’t really say that I remember it at all. But I do remember that the HC Malaysia Mango was pretty good and at the time /u/ID10-T didnt have it, so I felt pretty cool. You try that one yet?
I believe I also used to put some FE Mango in this at like 1% or 1.5%. It was pretty good. But that is using the old INW Fortuna Strike. I would use VT Red Dates instead now.
I don’t really know if any of these flavors are still around. Haven’t looked at flavors in a good long while.
Howdy, stranger. Haven't seen you in awhile. And what a coincidence because I was just thinking about how I'm going to enjoy some Chem Twista Lime this evening and wondering when I'd have time to mix some more with a little extra nic up in there, amongst all this mango madness.
I'm about to try HC Malaysia Mango for the first time this week, finally.
Oh man, I’m gonna have to mix myself up some Chem Twista since it’s starting to warm up. I do believe I like it more with INW Garuda in place of 7 Leaves. I’ve been lazily mixing up some weird shit lately, so it’ll probably really tickle my fancy. Glad you liked it since I’m pretty sure you gave me the idea!
New mixer here:-) I'd really like some help putting together a current fresh mango mix. I've got FA Mango Indian Special and a few other fruit flavors as a start.
(just got some advice that FA Mango Indian Special might work for me as a single flavor mix)
I have some notes on that one from a year ago.
Indian Mango Special - Really nice flavor. So much better than their previous mango, the Costa Rica Mango, which is comparatively terrible, all dry and green, underripe, rindy, like a green banana wrapped in a mango peel. The peel has been removed from this one and the body has a really nice darker honey-like sweetness. It reminds me a little bit of JF Honey Peach with that very sweet finish. Still not juicy, but not terribly dry either. Very slight tartness and brighter on top but not getting that pine-y note. Also missing quite a bit of that funky tropical ripeness I’m looking for in a mango. I’ve seen comments about it being very authentic and I think those people’s mangos taste different than the ones I eat. This one lacks the complexity I’m looking for in a real mango both in the high and low notes and as a result it tastes kind of candied to me. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. I’ve been looking for the right mango flavor for a particular type of mango candy I want to recreate and I think this might finally be the one. Because of the things that it’s missing it might also be THE mango for people who think they don’t like mango. For a more authentic ripe juicy mango I really like the idea of backing this up with a touch of FLV Mango. I’ve also seen recipes ripening this with a little CAP Sweet Mango and that makes sense, too. I wouldn’t call it the mango holy grail or anything unless maybe you’re chasing a candy mango, but this is definitely worth picking up, in fact I’m going to go buy some more ASAP because I don’t want to run out.
(I did buy more ASAP, but still haven't gotten around to trying to use it to mix my Trader Joe's Mango!Mango! gummies that I love so much and would like very much to be able to recreate in a vape - less calories that way).
As far as help, I think it depends on what you mean by "fresh" - are you trying to make it riper, more realistic, brighter, juicier, more tart... How do you want it to be?
If you don't know, I recommend mixing a sample of that FA Indian Mango by itself at 3%, giving that a try, and thinking about how you might alter and improve it with other flavors. If you come back from that and tell me more clearly what you want, I'll be happy help. And I'm sure others here will chime in as well.
Thank you so much for the detailed reply. As a new DIYer, I feel like one of my teenagers trying to find their "identity" :-) I'm still in the process of figuring out exactly what I'm looking for.
When I said "fresh", yes, I'm looking for a realistic flavor, like close to what a nice sweet mango actually tastes like.
You're now the second (possibly third) person to suggest doing a sample of this by itself, and think it's about time I do exactly that. I now plan on doing that with several of the flavors I have to try and get a handle on what exactly it is that I'm looking for.
Thanks again
I just can't not chime in here as this is my all time favorite flavor. Taste is subjective and maybe the mango's we get here in the EU are different than what the US gets. To me, this is an authentic mango. I'd go as far as claiming one of -if not the most authentic mango flavoring out there. I do get some slight pine, very much way in the back somewhere. I get that fleshy juiciness although I'd agree its not super juicy. I get some round sweet body like you get from a cantaloupe. I get a little of what I can only describe (by lack of vocab.) as a slightly under ripe chalky note. It's that note that is way too present in FLV's. In FA's MIS its just enough to pass as realism though.
I think its undeniably mango and you can go a fair few directions with it. I been using this at 3.5-4%. I could easily vape FA MIS as a single flavor, but I been using it mostly in combination with my 2nd favorite mango, WF Island Mango, to bring in some citric and earthy notes.
I'll be interested to hear how all of the mangos stack up overall.
For as much as I like FLV Mango, it brings (for me) a distinct coconut vibe that kind of limits its overall usefulness for me. I've played around with FA Mango Indian Special and CAP Sweet mango a bit as well. All of them were fine in mixes but I don't think I've found one that really pulls me in and makes me want to mix with it yet, but perhaps I'm just not striking the right combination.
I'll be doing that with 66(!) Mango flavors this week.
About half of them you've probably heard me talk about before because I've never been shy mangoes. But I'm about to try a bunch of them for the first time, including: INW Mango and Tango, Decadent Vapours Mango Mix, Baker's Flavors Mango Mix, Baker's Flavors Mango, Magical Flavors Mango, Magical Flavors Malaysian Mango, VSO Mango, Delosi Mango, MB Mellow Chili Mango, FW Mango Guava, Fairies' Finest Mango, Bickford Mango, Flavor Phoenix Mango Mamba, Bickford Mango Orange, NF Organic Orange Mango, HC Malaysia Mango, NF Organic Mango, EF Green Mango, Rule 7 Crunch Mango Crumble, CdD Mango, and Medicine Flower Mango. And possibly one or MORE not-quite-yet-released-but-almost new Mango flavors from Flavorah.
Oh that's exciting stuff. I feel like I can probably guess where the Fairies Finest, Bickford, and Flavor Phoenix mangoes will end up on the list, but we'll never know without somebody trying them.
I'll be interested to hear about that new (and improved?) FLV mango for sure.
Any idea whether all those Malaysian Mango flavours from various brands are just rebranded Wrecka mangoes? Everytime I see a Malaysian Mango flavour out there Wrecka immediately comes to mind. Their Singapore/Golden Mango are one of the most addictive mangoes out there.
There's an open spot on the calendar around Thanksgiving. Seems like perfect timing for a small chunk of the apple world. I'd like to see "Apple + Bakery" (Pie, Strudel, Crumble, etc.) put there.
So far i haven't had a mango that worked solo, but. I hear FA mango indian will so it's on my next purchase order list!
By "work solo" do you mean vape it as a single flavor, or just have it be the only mango in a mango-centric recipe?
have it be the only mango in mango-centric. so far. i certainly haven't tried everything out there.
I’ve got FLV mango on the way because of the last noted about mango. Good luck on getting through 66 of them u/id10t lol
Number just went up to 69 because of FLV planning to release 3 more mango flavors this week.
FA indian special tastes like Jumex mango nectar to me. Very sweet.
When I first started doing DIY, I mainly was mixing Mango like crazy. I got a little burnt out on it pretty quickly. I do enjoy Mango Sticky Rice from time to time and a Mango melon pod recipe I mix for salts on occasion
Would you mind sharing that mango melon pod recipe with me?
Sure, I mix up the Mangled Melons recipe that is on ATF under Most Mixed. Its pretty decent in my caliburn.

After all these years mango is still at the top of my favorite flavor
HMA's Dragonfruit Iced Tea v4
It's a tea forward mango/dragonfruit tea with floral and citrus notes, knocked my socks off, hopefully yours too. It's best with a 12+ day steep for the tea, but it's also really good as a shake and vape!
The Mango Indian Special FA in this recipe is used more as a supportive note to the Earl Grey Tea than as a star or main flavor, this way i can have the e-juice taste like tea without having to crank the teas anymore than i already had. Believe it or not i've found it seems that most mangos tend to crank tea flavorings up and bring them forward even at low percentages. In this mix i wanted the tea to pop like crazy, so i also included INW Shisha Lemon, which kinda already has some tea-like notes to it in itself.

New mixer, first thing I tried to make myself. Was recommended FA Mango Indian Special by another user and I kinda just whipped it together and I love it. Could it be better? Probably. Am I happy vaping it right now? Yes.
3% FA Mango Indian Special
3% INW Shisha Strawberry
1% TFA Dragonfruit
0.5% CAP Super Sweet
0.75% WS-23
Great after a one day steep, it tastes like an orange starburst, slightly reminds me of Naked's Lava Flow. it hasn't faded for me after a week, but I will definitely mess around with it some more. May try to reduce the sweetness and bring out another tropical fruit flavor to make it more "full".
I love tropical fruit mixes and want to try some mango mixes. I currently only have TFA Mango (I think) anyone suggest any other good mango concentrates + good complimentary flavours to start looking into?
Excited for this episode, I only have 3 mangos and out of the 3 FA Indian Mango is really the only one I use due to how damn tasty it is. TPA mango isn’t terrible but it’s got this plastic note to it that I pick up after a couple days of heavy vaping it, CAP sweet mango starts off really good but steeps into musky funky town for me. FA Indian Mango is outright delicious and I could probably vape it everyday if I had enough of it
I agree with everyone's recommendations here already, especially FA Indian Special, one of the best mangoes out there! I do want to recommend mango lovers to get River's GOLDEN EYE! it may need a bit of boosting from another mango in a recipe, but I'm completely content ADVing this one as a single flavor test rn.
Mango was kind of a “bad friend” to me. I have a few: inw mango concentrate, fa indian special and wf island mango. I am trying right now to make a mango recipe that wouldn’t taste like all the mixes containing mango. It turned out quite a task. Primarily cause mango seems to feel this place in recipe that very rarely taken and hence it is always present and bright. So yeah, that is all I wanted to say. Lychee rules
I have not found a good mango recipe since I've started DIY. Back in my commercial juice days there was a company called NKTR that had a straight up mango that was delicious. Since getting into diy all recipes I've tried have been rather eh therefore I stopped trying recipes with mango. Maybe this episode will make me want to try some more but we will see.
Ok, will do! The Flavorah Mango is actually originally what I wanted, but it was a more spendy when I ordered, so I got the Cap at the time. I know Flavorah is concentrated and has great reviews. I was just being a cheap ass. Lol. On a side note, I got a Mango Pepsi (soda) yesterday at the store. If it's good, I'll try to concoct that next! Thanks for your help!
Has anyone tried the SSA Ripe mango? I got that in but haven't tried it.
That is unfortunate. It sucks. Both of their mangoes do.
Couple of my favorites.

Pastor's Glory is actually one of the two I've got mixed up for this week. It's super simple and tasty.
- TPA - Mango 11%
- TPA - Ripe Strawberry 6%
- 40PG/60VG for a little extra sweet
I really really like mangoes, but haven't found that perfect mango combo i can vape all day yet - i have a mango milkshake recipe i mix up from time to time, but i would really like to find a straight up mango heavy fruit mix that i can adv. Oh well, the hunt continues.. wf island mango and fa mango indian special are my favorites by far tho.
I am confused about mangos. There are many good mangos for every mixing scenario. One of my favourite is FA Indian Mango. What is your favourite?
My recipe to fit this weeks profile is:
Ingredient|% :---|---: Lychee (Flavors Express)|2.00 Mango Indian Special (FA)|2.00 Super Sweet (CAP)|0.50 Sweet Lychee (CAP)|2.50
Flavor total: 7%
Mango is not my thing, but i fear i'll be convinced to make another order after this show. Island Mango was ok for me, while Indian Special has some off-putting chemical that they often put in berry flavors; goes to the bin. Was thinking to give a try to Sexy Mango, but i'll rather wait to hear what Mango aficionado has to say.
Hi, I'm also new in diy. I want to create a mango ice cream and/or a honeysuckle mango mix. I've heard too much flavoring in a mix can mute the flavor, which I dont understand. I use flavoring as 12% of the total volume. Is that too much? Any info or recipe would be appreciated! TIA!
Forget about % of flavoring as total volume. That does not matter at all, because some flavors are more concentrated than others. Your total flavoring % could be at 2% and be overflavored, or it could be 12% and be underflavored, depending on the strength of the flavors you're using. Although, it is true that most recipes end up being in the 10 to 14% range, there's no reason for that to matter.
Yes, too much of any one flavor or too much flavor overall can overwhelm your senses to the point it doesn't taste like much of anything, or tastes much weaker than it should, but long before it does that, it's probably going to start tasting perfumey or otherwise nasty.
Do already have some mango, ice cream, and honeysuckle flavors to work with?
Thanks so much for your reply! I do have TFA Honeysuckle FW Vanilla Bean Ice Cream CAP Sweet Mango TFA Sweet Cream TFA Sweetener (.. maybe I shouldve gotten FLA varieties? Or use the same brands at least?)
Pick up some Flavorah Mango or Flavour Art Indian Mango (make sure if you go with Flavour Art to get the Indian Special one and not that nasty Costa Rica Mango) to mix with that and you'll have everything you need to make a pretty good Mango Ice Cream and a Mango Honeysuckle mix.
What would ya'll say is the best recipe for just a straight up killer mango?
I don't get the coconut note that some people get from FLV Mango and I don't mind a little of the terpy piney note so for me a straight up killer mango isn't any more complex than 2% each FLV Mango and VT Shisha Mango, though if you wanted to throw a little of some other mango in there for another dimension of mangoey goodness it probably wouldn't hurt. People use the WF Island Mango for that quite frequently, but I'd rather use FA Indian Special.
About to try like 30 mango flavors that I've never tried before so you might want to ask this question again in one week.

Its funny you say that. My daily vape and usual mango mix is 3% indian special, 3.5% shisha mango and 1.5% flv mango Add .5% or 1% super sweet and ws-23 is optional. Atleast that's my taste the flv mango rounds it off pretty nicely. To make it have a more authentic taste but it is a pretty sweet mango. I think i could dial down the flavoring amounts but that's just how I've always mixed it.
