This can be common with some flavours for certain people, for me it's Flavour Art pineapple it tastes like rubber and onions to me, doing an internet search it turns out others get the same as well. Just the luck of the draw I guess, you may need to find another brand.
That's unfortunate lol, must've been a weird first taste. Thankfully I'm not opposed to coconut and a sweet mango-y coconut at that! I've seen that some people taste crayons with the flv mango too, although, I can understand the waxey flavour of coconut being associated with crayons haha.
I also get a dill herb flavour, which steeps out a bit, but not completely. Reminds me of Sorachi Ace hops. Their flavour profile is lemon and cocos with the same weird dill offnote. I don't know what to do with FLV mango. I can't unsee it anymore
That's just sad. At what % do you get that?
At 4 % the coconut and dill notes are pretty dominant for me. It's also musty. Steeping helped kind of. At 1.5 %. combined with FA Mango Indian Special at 3.5% it gets covered up, but I still get it slightly. Haven't tested any further. Seems to be branded in my brain. That Sorachi Ace hopped beer I had like 8 years ago came immediately into my mind when I used FLV Mango. Coconut and dill is a combination you just won't expect
I am just the opposite. I also mix my FLV Mango with FA Mango Indian Special or WF Island. FOR ME, I get a decent Mango from FLV at up to 0.35%. At 0.4% and up, I get the most glorious Peach.
At first I swore I was sent the wrong concentrate, and purchased an authentic bottled version to find the same taste.
I just drink Beer. Although I used to visit a bar in Boston with over 100 varieties. They gave you a card and punched the corresponding number. I can't remember what happened later. LOL
