Hello All -
New to DIY out of necessity (thanks PACT). Looking to buy 2 gallons of 100mg/ml nicotine for $400 or less. I had my eye on River Supply/Nicotine River and then last night their 25% off for Saint Patty's day sale, which meant 8 liters for $300. Woohoo. As I was going to check out though, I noticed the California Sin tax they collect, which dumped on over $100 in taxes. Ouch.
I'm still considering going through with the order with the logic that with their sale would save me $30 and add an additional 500 ml (only 7,570 ml in 2 gals) vs. if I had ordered 2 gallons on Tuesday before I knew about the Sin Tax, but I'm now rethinking if this is my best option. The other options I'm looking at is LNW at $319.98 for 2 gallons and $389.85 and Nude Nicotine Chroma (Classic not Nude Armor) for 15 500ml bottles. Neither of these options are collecting the CA Sin Tax, but I have reservations about the quality. I've heard that LNW nic can often come discolored and their product photo on the website looks awful (pinkish amber color). I've heard good things about Nude Nicotine's Nude Armor line, but also some posts where people talk about bad quality nic from them, which I assume is from the Classic line.
Are there other options that will be better for long-term freezer storage to last for 10+ years that don't break the bank too much? I could go as high as $500 if it was for a quality product. Does anyone know of any options I should be exploring or maybe some coupon codes that could bring more of the quality nicotine down to the $400-$500 range for 2 gallons or 7-8 liters?
Thanks much!
I'm not sure if this is an option, but can you just send your nic to Oregon or NV to a PO box and have them forward it to your address in CA? Perhaps even send it to one of those mail office stores and arrange with them to forward to a CA address when they receive? The shopping costs would still be cheaper than the tax.
The River Supply deal is good and their nic is top notch quality, it's a shame they have to slap the CA taxes on it for you.
I'm not familiar with all US tax law but that sounds a lot like tax evasion
I just got a gallon from LNW and transferred it to amber glass, and it's not tinted whatsoever. Perfectly clear and looks fine.
Last year I got a 3mg/ml gallon from them, still have enough for another 32oz mixture.
But when I went there today the only options aside from 100 or 250mg/ml bottles. They only had 3mg & 6mg premixed in 5 gal only for $299 & $325.
Ended up going with Delosi where I grabbed a gallon of 6mg and chose all VG, then I'll cut it with 20-30% PG if not work out the math for a PG/VG blend to make it 3mg after fully mixed.
Hopefully Delosi is as quality as it appears to be as it's likely the last order I'll be able to make.
I've used LNW for ages and I haven't had any issues. the juice turns a light amber color but that's about it. got a gallon from them the mail yesterday.
when did you order? still waiting for my order to ship, starting to get a little concerned
You can get 1 gallon of 250mg nic from river Supply for $399.00. That's what I did because it takes up less room and you actually end up with the equivalent of 2.5 gallons of 100mg nic
Actually, with the sale going on right now at River Supply, it's a better deal to buy 4 liters, which comes out to be $329.96. If I lived in Oregon, that would be $329.96 out the door as they aren't charged for sales tax.
For me and the unlucky inmates of Kalifornia, we are not getting our nic without paying $142.24 in sin tax plus $34.60 in sales tax plus $5.00 for adult signature authorization. Out the door, my price is $511.80. Yay!!!
This is a tough one to swallow. I almost wouldn't mind if the extra almost $200 went to the business, but it's the greedy politicians getting this money to line their pockets while they continue to mismanage the state.
River's been slapping this sin tax on California purchases for at least a year, probably longer but my 1st order from them was a year ago. You can either pay it or go to LNW, they charge for shipping tho so the costs might end up being close anyway.
I ended up buying 2 gallons from LNW for about $340 out the door. Not quite the deal I would have liked at $330 for 8 liters at River Supply, but for all of you non-Californian's feel free to take advantage of that offer through Friday.
That's not too much of a difference, considering 2 gallons is only about 430ml less than 8L. I have no idea why River adds that shitty tax for CA nic orders! Liquid Barn HQ is nearby River HQ & I've never once had that extra tax added by Liquid Barn tho, kinda confusing n strange.
Do you guys think a 2.1 cubic foot freezer would be big enough for 6 liters of nic?
take measurements of the bottles then compare to the freezer measurements
