Working nicotine bottle question
submitted over 4 years ago by satanvacation

Hey all, I was wondering, can I use a chubby gorilla bottle as my working bottle stored in the fridge or should I grab an amber dropper? Thanks.

I use a chubby "black pet v3" for my working bottle.. Everytime I bust open a new 500 ml, I break it into 5- 100 ml chubby bottles and put one in the fridge and the rest in the freezer.. I've been doing that for 8 months.. And my nic quality is still really good. Haven't noticed any peppery taste or discoloration, also haven't noticed any plasticy smells. I know the glass amber bottles are reccomended. But honestly, the black chubby pet v3 bottles work just fine (for single use) once they're emptied out you can't use them for anything else, becuase the nic will leach into the plastic somewhat (not any substantial amount. Just don't use them for anything else)

Hi. Glass let’s the least amount of air into the bottle (a bit through the rubber cap inserts), then PET, HDPE and squishy LDPE (lets the most in). Assuming your working bottle will be empty in 3-6 months, PET or glass will be fine, even HDPE. Amber glass does help filter light though, that’s another advantage. Be sure to keep that bottle in a cool, dark, dry place, like a cupboard or drawer when not mixing.

I use a Mason jar I keep in the freezer. About 200ml when full. Lasts for months and I've never had an issue with it. Of course my nic is PG, wouldn't work with VG

Hello fellow Mason jar'er! I do mason jars for my long term storage. I end up just pouring some of the mason jar into a 120ml and using that as my working bottle and refreezing the rest for later.

Why wouldn't it work with vg?

Cold VG is thick. It’s a hassle shaking VG Nic all the time. 200ml jar is a lot of volume. Why u/sk7175 keeps it in the freezer is another question

The freezer keeps it fresh. I use 100mg pg nic. I've never had my nic turn yellow or get harsh. 200ml is just convenient for me, I don't have to open my liter bottle very often. I have 5 liters in our spare freezer, and I've stocked up on mods, rdta's, and AIO,s. I like vaping and have no plans to quit. I'm prepared for the vaping ban, just in case.

When I get my shipment of nic I'm gonna put it in relabeled amber beer bottles with twist caps.

You shouldn’t want one bud, you’re addicted

I use a 60ml LDPE cylinder with a yorker cap and just keep it on my desk.
