So in a deep freeze, what's the best way to store nicotine the longest? I'm guessing pure VG NIC? Also, what's your plan for stocking up, brands, storage, etc.? Also I have a killer recipe I wanna share with you all.

I was going to get a gallon of PurNic this month from NR. I would tediously heat it up as I do a hot sink bath for my 120mls whenever I make a liter. Then I would dispense into 120ml unicorn bottles and store in my girlfriends moms deep freeze til we can get our own. I read it can be good up to 10 years. I planned to vape nic my whole life, but even if 5 years ill taper down so slow I won't even notice. We vape about 30-40ml a day together, so lets generously say 50ml a day.

That's a liter and a half of 4mg nicotine. so 60ml as month, 720ml a year. A gallon at 100mg would last 5.5 years. I will buy it based on a mix of how much we plan to taper and how long its good for. If 10 years is truly viable, then I would say we could make a taper last 10 years with a gallon. I stopped selling juice locally a while ago so I only have to worry about us. I cant not vape. It's integrated into my life almost as much as eating and drinking (almost...obviously not the same).

The recipe is called teddy. It utilizes Capella Cinnamon Danish swirl, V1 sugar cookie , V1 custard, V1 Graham Cracker, V1 Vanilla Cupcake, Cinnamon crunch FLV, Purilum marshmallow, Wonder Flavours butter cream frosting and vanilla cream extra. Then drops/ml of INW Biscuit and Shisha Vanilla. I will link the screenshot of the recipe in the comments like 10 minutes, then I will expand on this and add the notes and explanations. This has been a culmination of 2 years work. My most secretive, and proud and joyous flavor. I have vaped it for years as the cinnamon prevents vapors tongue (crosses fingers). I will probably turn this into its own post, but yeah.

Don't heat it, that's just going to cause it to oxidize faster.

Just mix it well.

PG should store better than VG because it doesn't keep bubbles as long ( bubbles = air in contact with the nic base ).

You should also get 100mg or 250mg base. That way you can store a lot more time worth in less space.

Okay, PG base it is. But wouldn't higher concentration oxidize faster? the 250mg is like 250 bucks and it only sells as a gallon. So essentially it'd go bad before I finished it. My estimations allow for a taper over 10 years with a gallon of 100mg. I used to vape 2mg tbh so it'll be a simple taper and I can always start at 3mg instead of 4mg. I don't think it will last over 10 years in any condition.

Stored properly it should last almost indefinitely.

And I don't think having a lower concentration makes it oxidize any slower. It's about the exposure to oxygen, light and heat that makes it oxidize not so much the concentration.

Either way, it takes much less room for say a 500ml bottle of 100mg than the equivalent amount of nicotine in premixed base.

VG and PG don't need to be stored in the freezer, so having it premixed really just takes up more space for no gain.

I have a gallon in original packaging/container. Stored in a somewhat cool and dry area. Do I have to freeze it?

I meant higher amounts would oxidize faster. Was just my thoughts on it.

I would pick PG over VG as PG has some anti-bacterial properties..

last think you want is your base carrier going bad before the nic oxidizes!

Thanks. Just another reason for PG. Glad I asked. I always figured the loa viscosity would make PG go bad sooner, that's the only reason I even get 50/50 or vg base when they're out. PG is just easier to deal with overall so I'll never not get it again. Wish I knew all this before! I have no choice but to hot bath my 120ml bottle 8 times when making 509ml batches. Luckily nr has such good nic that I haven't noticed the difference

see, you asked, and you got good answers that help you move forward.. isnt that was life is all about :)

500ml.. lets see, that's about 3-4 weeks for me :S not enough time to oxidize at room temp before i vape it ;) (I am down to .5ml/mg at this point).

I vape a very simple mix.. single flavor.. so for me, I do my VG measuring in a beaker, and then its super easy to pour into my 200ml amber glass bottles for month long storage. i know this goes against everything this sub believes in, but over the past 5 yerars I have not noticed one batch being "off" from any other.. I may be off by as much as 5ml per 200ml bottle, but MEH. its just the VG after all, and with my nic so low, its not like i could even get close to nic poisoning. at this point , I go for "how easy is this process" vs. "how perfect is my mix". not dealing with thick VG in a syringe is such a time saver! funny enough i do own the lb-1000 scale (.1 gram scale), but my wife uses it for food prep now and I haven't had any issues with mixing like this, so i just keep doing it.

Since no one else mentioned this. I haven't done it myself, but considering it looks like we need possibly life long storage options. Consider using argon gas(food grade) to drive off oxygen. It's sold for basically the same reasons for wine. It's heavier than nitrogen, and will be easier to ensure as little oxygen as possible is getting to your nic. Good luck bro
